Chapter 3: Making purchases and Convincing Jasmine
The sudden outburst by Ash and him threatening the Earl has left everyone appalled and afraid. In that situation no one could do anything.
Donald especially took a hit to his ego as Ash would have killed him in an instant. Even Kevin and Calvin could not comprehend what happened to Ash and a fear is planted inside them. They could not understand how he could move so fast and put a knife on Donald.
The Earl was afraid at first because of the aura released by Ash but after sometime felt relieved because he felt a devil staring at him at the time he was trying to cast a spell. He tried to oppress his bastard son just because seeing him always made him remember the mistake he made by forcing himself on Jasmine.
Even Leonora and Belladonna felt fear because they have always picked on Jasmine. This is a warning which he sent not only to his siblings and father but also to Earl's wives that if you go beyond to mess with her you will be killed.
The sudden change in Ash's behavior made Earl Harvey ponder if he is the same person. "He thought "Maybe I might have pushed him to his limit". He decided that he would be cautious when matters related to Ash because of his warning today.
As for the person whom everyone was thinking went back to his room with a devilish smile and laid on bed opening the status.

"Yes host but only until you reach 8 years of age. After that the quests will earn you not only stats increase but also increase your levels" replied the system.
"System when will the shop enabled?" asked Ash.
"After you reach Level 5 host not only the shop but also lucky draw will be enabled" replied the system.
"Thanks for the info system" said Ash.
"You definitely acted rashly today host" said System.
"I know that but if I have to get stronger then I have to clear obstacles which are the entire Earl family who are a bunch of morons" said Ash.
"The thing I did today might cause them to back out for a bit but they will use other ways to cause obstacles host" said the system.
"Yeah I know but the fear I have planted in them will not allow them to openly oppress me. So they will use other crooked methods to put me in trouble. So I at least got a breathing space now before they could launch their attacks" said Ash.
"Yes I agree with you host in this aspect because you didn't have enough room to move towards your goal but you took your first step by threatening them" said the System.
"From tomorrow I will also start practicing the spear art and archery. I will plant some targets in that open space and shoot at them. Bu I need bow and arrows along with a spear. I cannot ask the Earl for money after threatening them so I my previous self has saved up enough money in the bag below the bed. With that I will purchase whatever I need including the first aid supplies"
He bent and crawled towards the bag which is below the bed and took out 4000 gold coins. This money is more than enough for him to purchase the weapons along with supplies. He also decided to search for a part time job to earn money in disguise instead of relying on the family.
He took the 4000 gold coins and went to the market which is in the eastern part of Randell. He looked for a weapons shop while casually walking with the bag. He saw the situation of people here and he is certainly disgusted by his father.
The market area and its atmosphere resembled slums where crime thrives. Ash went there with commoner clothes rather than rich clothes because it would attract attention. He also understood that the taxes are being misused by officials under his father. The faces of people are filled with sadness and anger rather than happiness and cheerfulness.
Since he came to this world he also came to know that there are no banks, Insurance companies or stock markets. He decided to earn a lots of money in the future and acquire a land far away from these kingdoms and establish his own government along with going on different adventures.
After sometime he came across "Roland's Weapons and Armor" store in the market which is in the middle of the market. He went inside and saw different types of weapons and armor decently placed across the store and the store is well decorated. He also saw on left side of the wall a job posting paper.
"Wanted an apprentice for Blacksmith.
Job duties:
1) Helping the blacksmith in forging new weapons.
2) Bringing ores for the weapons from assigned locations.
3)Performing repairs and maintenance.
4)Buying and Selling weapons at an assigned prices.
Salary: 1000 gold per month.
Timings: 3pm to 6:30pm.
Sundays are holidays.
When Ash looked at the posting he found it attractive and thought it would be helpful for future endeavors. He decided that he will go to this job after training himself.
The owner of the shop came from inside and said "Hello what do you need?"
He was looking at Ash as if it is not the place where he belongs.
When he saw Ash staring at the job posting he asked "So are you interested in that job?"
Ash looked at the store owner and nodded. The owner smiled and asked "Do you have any previous experience in Black smithy?"
Ash said "No but since it is an apprentice jobs I am willing to learn and the pay is also very good".
"You are very enthusiastic I like that but it isn't enough. You would have work your ass off if I take you in" said the store owner.
"That's not a problem as I have determined to make myself armed with knowledge and experience for my future endeavors" said Ash.
Ash looked at the store owner and said "I need a spear, armor, bracers, helmet, belt of my size".
The store owner was surprised that a child was buying these weapons as no child at this age would even dream of going near the weapons.
"The way you are buying all of these tells me that you are not a child from ordinary household. You must come from a rich political family" said the store owner.
Ash smiled because he knows that the store owner would guess that he is not a commoner and Ash did not bother to hide it.
"Yes I am the illegitimate son of Earl Randell and my name is Ash Randell" replied Ash.
The store owner was stunned and immediately bowed to Ash showing respect.
Ash found it uncomfortable because he was a man from Earth and he never experienced such formalities.
Ash looked at the store owner and said "No formalities please because I am about to join as an apprentice so you will be my master".
He asked system in mind "System would it be profitable to learn Black smithy?"
"Yes host if you start now something profitable can happen in the future" replied the system.
Ash smiled and looked at the store owner. "Can I get the weapons and equipment fitted according to my size?"
"Of course I will do it today so that you can get them tomorrow my lord" replied the store owner.
"Your name is Roland right?" asked Ash.
"Yes my lord" replied Roland.
"This my lord" word is uncomfortable to Ash. He decided to try to ignore it.
"How much of the initial payment should I make?" asked Ash.
Roland started calculating in the mind of how much the items cost.
"It's 750 gold initial payment and remaining 450 gold payment after all the weapons are sold to you my lord" said Roland.
Roland decided that he would make the initial payment now and remaining tomorrow. Roland took out 750 gold and put it in front of the store owner.
"Can I ask you a question my lord?" asked Roland with his curiosity.
"Why is a child who is an illegitimate son of a household trying to buy weapons and wants to become apprentice blacksmith?"
Ash smiled and said "The magic power in my body is very weak but I definitely have knowledge on combat arts and weaponry. I know the spells of mage can be devastating to warriors but only if you allow the mage to cast the spell. The combat arts which I have can kill a mage before they can even conjure the spell. I am in need of money and I wish to learn new things. My father and other household members will not allow me to come here if they come to know what I am doing".
Roland widened his eyes with surprise because he had never heard of anything like this even existed. He thought Ash was bluffing but the eyes of Ash are telling something else.
Ash knew that he would not believe until he sees it with his own eyes. "I will be joining as an apprentice in a week" said Ash.
Roland came out from daze and said "Yes my lord but I would also like to see the way of your combat that can take down mages before you could cast a spell".
Ash nodded and said "I will need mages to demonstrate my methods".
"I will arrange for that my lord as I have connections with mages guild and we can fix a day for the duel" said Roland.
Ash said "ok" and waved goodbye to Roland.
Ash went to the alchemy store "Falcon Alchemy" near the edge of the market and asked the owner John falcon for 50 health potions. The price of each potion is 30 gold. Ash decided to store these many potions in inventory of system because it will help him during training for quick recovery.
After that he went to the medical store "Eric Medical store" and bought some cotton, bandages and some painkillers for 700 gold coins. He was left with 2000 gold.
Since it is getting late he decided to go back home and relax.
When he arrived home everyone was avoiding him due to fear. Ash ignored it and went to his room where his mother was sitting on his bed with a serious expression.
"Where have you been?" she asked with anger.
"I went for a walk outside the estate after the incident" lied Ash.
Jasmine sighed angrily and asked "Why did you threaten your siblings and Earl? Are you really foolish to provoke Earl's anger?"
Ash looked at her speaking with anger but found it adorable rather than threatening.
Ash smiled at her and said "Look mother I know that you are worried that he might punish me because I threatened him but the situation is different outside".
She got even more angry and said "You think they will keep quiet they will just make your life even more miserable".
Ash sighed and said "I know that they will cause obstacles but the Ash standing before you is not the same gullible one who got harassed and bullied".
Before she could say anything he said "The Earl will not throw me away or do something due to that insult mother because there is a law which I came to know yesterday in the library which states that even if the child is an illegitimate son or daughter the head of the house does not have any right to throw him away before he reaches 12 years of age".
Jasmine looked at him her jaws dropped. She was surprised to know that her son thought this through before he provoked his siblings and Earl.
"But but but.." she tried to talk but could not. Ash replied "Mother I have already made plans to leave the house a the age of 12".
Jasmine looked at him with sorrow eyes. "They will also throw you away with me after I reach 12 years of age so try to save as much money as you could mother for the future" said Ash.
Suddenly he sensed a presence near the door and immediately made his move. He caught Kevin spying on their conversation.
"Well well look at this Earl's puny second son decided to eavesdrop" said Ash with a sadistic smile.
Kevin looked at Ash with fear because after today's incident he had a fear of Ash. The reason Ash was able to terrify them is because of the aura of Vinod from previous life not because Ash is strong. Ash knew the techniques to take down mages due to the games he played on Earth. He may not be powerful than them but he can easily kill them with the techniques he knows.
Ash clenched his fist with a devilish smile and punched Kevin. Kevin fell down on the ground with his nose bleeding. Compared to Donald and Calvin this bastard Kevin used to harass him more.
Jasmine was horrified at the scene and tried to stop him but Ash kept on punching Kevin's face. His face was puffed up due to punches. Though Kevin is bigger due to age gap Ash could deliver punches due to System's help. Kevin fainted due to punches.
After punching him for a minute he said "If you ever try this again I will cripple your body" and rose up.
"System erase his memories of me beating him plant memories of him falling down from first floor" said Ash in his mind.
"I require 100 gold coins host" said the system.
"Take them and do it" said Ash.
[Deducting 100 gold coins and erasing the memory. Planting new memories of falling down from first floor]

Ash put his hand on the head of Kevin and closed his eyes to pretend in front of his mother.
"Done I have removed his memory of me beating him and planted new memories" said Ash looking at his mother.
He dragged Kevin through the back door and put his body just in front of Kevin's room window to make it look like he fell down. After putting him face down Ash ran away.
"You have really become cruel Ash" said Jasmine.
Ash looked at his mother with a serious expression and said "As if the Earl isn't cruel or my siblings or the wretched whores who calls themselves wives of Earl".
Jasmine could not say anything because she could now understand the resentment of her child who had suffered at a young age.
He asked her to lend a ear. When she leaned down he whispered "I am training myself and next week on Monday I will be joining Roland's store as an apprentice in Black smithy".
Jasmine widened her eyes in surprise. The son of hers is completely changed and she felt he was a stranger to her.
"I will disguise myself and go there after training in combat arts. I want you to pack some food for me in a box that I am going to prepare because I will be having lunch in the training ground" he further whispered.
She looked at him and reluctantly nodded because she started believing in her son's capabilities.
He along with her went back inside the mansion.
