Chapter 10: The teasing and the plan.
I continued on with my workout. I don't want to do anymore cardio so I start with a weighted vest push up. I added 40 kgs and started doing it. I did the same for squats and sit-ups. I then continued with weights for the other parts of the body. It took me almost 2 hours to finish the routine for every part of the body.
I'm so tired and just wanted to go to bed again but I still have a planned session waiting for me. In the centre of the room there is a metal pillar, I think it's a alternative for punching bag. I could also see a lot of fist marks there.
I have no doubt if I tried to do that my hands are going to be mangled, so I found a padding in the corner of the room and strapped it on the beam. I think it was supposed to be used like this but the maniac- I mean Brawler just went straight for the metal beam.
I practised the steps and movements of the Krav Maga like described in my information bank. I didn't think the martial genius perk would be this awesome. As I was practising, I could point out my mistake myself and try to correct it until I get it right.
It's not an easy thing to learn a martial arts without guidance but it felt I could do this easily. After I got my postures right for every movements I started implementing my moves on the pillar with padding.
I think it's gonna take some time to master it the level of muscle memory. I finished it and remembered about the blaster I bought from Franco. So I decided to try it. There was no target here so I just used a large metal block found in the gym. It weighs about 500 kg, lifting it and propping up took my all after the intense workout session.
I made the distance between me and the target about 20 metres so that I don't mess up in my first try in shooting any gun. I took the blaster out from the cabinet and propped it in my hands. I watched a lot of tutorials in my past life so I know how to hold a gun properly.
I aimed at the target and let the safety loose and fired
"Pew"
'Oh no'. This might seem like a sound an advanced gun would make but it's not. It was me who made that sound. The gun did make a sound but it was quiet and it was like a sound of electric discharge. I berate myself,
"Did I just make a 'pew pew' when firing a gun? Good thing I didn't practise it in public. What a disgrace. I think I should be careful.
After that I started shooting at the target slowly without letting any sounds. The first two shots were off the mark but they hit the metal block around the corners. As I continued shooting I became good at it almost exponentially. After 100 shots or something I started to hit the bullseye I marked at the center of the metal block.
I then increased the distance between me and the metal block about 30 meters and started doing the same. The first shot I fired at this distance missed the bullseye by just 2 cm the after 10 shots I started hitting the mark consecutively. Then I increased the distance gradually and got used to the distance and it reached about 50 meters. That's the whole length of the room.
The I brought by other gun and started shooting then simultaneously. It was a disaster. I missed the shot on my left hand and it put a hole in my wall. Good thing it wasn't all the way through.
I relax myself and decided that it was enough for today. And I was pretty hungry after the workout. I got to the bath and got a shower and wore my same old washed clothes again. 'I have to buy some clothes for me to wear'.
I got out of my room and went to the cafeteria. It was 7:00am in the morning. In Sakaar each day has 30 hours, 20 for the day and 10 for the night. When I reached cafeteria I saw a small crowd of people here trying to buy food.
It seems this is the normal time for all of them to have breakfast. I could see some of then start their day with a healthy bottle of alcohol. Even from the family of making wine I never saw anyone start their day with alcohol. It seems there are wider worlds out there and anything is possible. I just chuckled at my lame joke and bought my food.
As I was returning from the counter I saw two familiar figures sitting at a table at the left corner of the room. Without hesitation I approached them it's better that sitting alone to eat.
As I neared their table and stood there and about to ask permission, Arora suddenly glared at me. I was taken back but she quickly relaxed her face and smiled at me.
"Hello Arora, hello komiko-san. Good morning. Do you mind me sitting here? If you do it's okay I'll just take a seat somewhere else."
Then Arora answered me,
"Good morning Justin, it's fine you can join us. Sorry for glaring at you earlier, it's just some muddle headed pigs never learn a lesson and comes to disturb us early in the morning. And I thought you were one of them."
"Ara~Good morning Justin-kun, just call me komiko, come sit let's have our breakfast."
I relaxed and sat down opposite to the two of them. Then I started talking to them,
"What are the working schedule for you guys?"
Komiko glanced at Arora and looked at me and chuckled. "Ara~Ara~ Justin are you trying to flirt with us by asking our free time. If it's you I'm free whenever you want."
OMG. I think she has a fetish for teasing innocent guys like me. I won't allow myself to be tainted by this evil woman. Hearing that Arora began to laugh and komiko joined them. Agh, I regret coming to join them.
"You know that's not what I was asking for, just forget it." I internally cried. I'm quiet vulnerable to beautiful girls and when they tease me it's like kryptonite for superman, I couldn't handle it. I really want to tease her back but I'm not ready for it yet, it when I don't know how this life is going to be.
Komiko slowly replied while laughing softly, "Just joking with you, Justin. We both work at the same 10 hour shift 8:00 to 18:00 and get a single day holiday for every seven days. Then we go to our home and do our own stuff."
Wait a minute , did she just say our home. Are they living together, so are they a couple? But it doesn't seem like it. God I can't get this picture out of my head.
"What are you wondering Justin? Are you imagining what we do at our free time?"
"Yes.. no i meant no, god no. Just wondering you were living together."
They both laughed at the same time. This shouldn't be happening forever, if I don't put an end to this or just show a little bit of resistance I would be treated like a cute dog. And they would tease me whenever they like. Yes, I should be like a cat. Man, I don't now what I'm thinking about anymore. I'll just go with the flow.
"Please stop it you two. I know it's fun to tease an innocent man like me but please keep it in moderation. Because if the teasing increases what if I give into myself and start liking one of you and the there would feel lonely. So please stop with this."
I saw them stop gloating for a second. And slowly a smirk slowly crawled into my face. I just feel like laughing like a kid who just stole a cookie after his mom forbade him to eat that. Ahh the fun but the feeling didn't last long,
Komiko soon replied in a sultry tone, "Ahh, so Justin just wants to date one of us. I thought it would be both at the same time. Ah, it's such a waste to not date us both at the same time , don't you think so, Justin~."
I quickly showed all the food into mouth and ran away,
"Just remember, I'll take my revenge sooner or later. Until that day keep gloating."
As I keep shouting I ran toward the elevator to reach the brewery. I have some ideas to work with and I have to make some plans to make. I'm really excited for all the thing that future keeps me waiting.
I reached the brewery and went to the office and took the operation chart. I analysed it yesterday and had no problem with it and went forward to do the work.
First I set the robots and cleaning devices to clean all the machinery. After that I went to the cellar and checked for any problems and went to the storage room and checked for the stock of ingredients that were available and checked with the record.
Then I wanted to familiarise myself to some of the machineries and I do just that. It totally took me 3 hours to complete all this and I just sat down at the office to relax a bit.
The only work to be done is brewing wine but the only necessity Would be the " tipsy". The "cyclone" and the 'piss' are in rock so I don't have to worry about it. I was in a dilemma. I know a way that could make the "tipsy" even better than the original, probably, but I'm hesitating. If I messed up the only job given to me I'll be in trouble. So I'm planning to just brew the wine according to the recipe.
But I'm not giving up on improvements. I'll just make change to the "cyclone" and "caster" and produce gem in a small scale production, about one barrel each. It will be like a test and if it goes right I can even start producing them in bulks and become permanent here. I need a stable job, so that I could atleast have a luxury of maintaining my daily life.
I don't want to go to scrape sites to pick up scrapes like scavengers. Then I started devising a plan and list the requirements for everything that it's going to need.
