Chapter 25: Got kidnapped?
Looking at the maniacal laughter of Mordo I soon contacted komiko from the device in my ear.
"Hey komiko are you there?" I whispered slowly.
"I'm here, any problem?" She asked somewhat anxiously.
I was confused and asked her
"Is everything alright on your end?"
"Yeah everything is fine on our end. What about yours? Did your fight start?" She asked.
"I'm fine. The fight is finished, I won and got the axe but something is going on. I'll talk to you after confirming the details. Until then just wait." I said and looked at Mordo who was still laughing.
I looked around only to find some of the captains were slowly moving the crowds and coming towards me. Then I looked at Mordo and said,
"If surrounding me with these phonies are what you consider your master plan, I'm sorry I think you are more stupid than I gave you credit for." I know this is not it. I know he has some plan that he executed but to know it I have to get a rise out of him. The villains usually reveal their master plan when they think the protagonist has no way to escape.
Hearing me Mordo just snorted,
"Humph, you think you are so brilliant, you dog. I already contacted the inner city and blamed you for theft and murder. It was not that difficult at all. Just some credits and here you are, no more citizenship. You are a fugitive now. Hahaha. Framing you was like pinching a baby to death. Fool."
"You love to fight right? I'll sell you to Grand master after capturing you and I'll even profit from it. How do you feel about it. Hahaha. You will die a miserable death in the contest of champions and I could watch it with pleasure. Hahaha."
Oh shit. This f*cker. I'm gonna kill him. But first I have to escape out of the city first.
As I thought that I was surrounded by a lot of people. It's not going to be easy it seems.
I held the axe and twirled it and got into the stance. I didn't wait for them to attack me. I soon rushed towards the escape route I previously planned. But it was not towards the elevator.
I was blocked by dozens of people. I didn't care for anything, I just hacked with my axe and people started falling down like a house of cards. The axe cut them through without any resistance.
I soon found myself going towards the captains. A fight seems unavoidable. I just went forward and hacked a captain that held a great sword. The axe cut through the sword and cut the man's chest. A deep wound was formed in his chest and blood started pouring. Before the man could fall to the ground I hacked his head off.
Before I could turn to the next opponent I was shot by a large blaster holding Franco. I was impacted and it pushed me back. I soon looked at the spot of impact on my body to check for wounds.
There were some scratches. Other than that, I'm fine. I know for a fact he fired a lethal shot but my skin didn't even tear open. Only the force behind the shot pushed me a little bit back. I looked at Franco and grinned.
I rushed towards him as he fired shots. I dodged every blast with a minimal movement and reached him. No words to be exchanged. I kicked him and hacked the other guy who was trying to stab me from my right side.
It was another captain but he was dead now. Soon I rushed to the staggering Franco and hacked him as his body was bisected horizontally. He looked me in shock. I didn't give a shit and went on clearing obstacles.
Soon I was bombarded by various long ranged weapons. But I only felt impact and that didn't do any damage. But getting pushed around by its force was not in my control. I saw Mordo commanding everyone to surround me. I didn't think twice and rushed towards him.
If I want to escape from here soon I have to kill him as it would be an intimidating factor, so they won't mess with my escape. I was fast, I jumped across some of the people in the middle and as soon as I landed I started hacking my way to him.
Looking at my approach, Mordo was panicked. When he started to fallback. But I was a step faster, I jumped again and landed squarely on top of Mordo.
He fell to the floor and cracks appeared on the place of impact. I stood above him and raised my axe to kill him. But his captains soon attacked me. I looked at them throwing themselves at me, I held the axe straight to my chest level and made a 360 degree spin horizontally at a very fast speed.
The people that were charging were bisected in half from different places of their body. I looked at Mordo and hacked towards him.
Looking at the hopeless situation Mordo immediately shouted,
"What are you doing? Help me."
As soon as he said that I cut his head and rolled away from the position I was standing. I felt a stinging impact from my back. Soon I looked around everywhere vigilantly. I saw a women with light brown skin in a blue top armour walking towards me with a bottle of wine in her hands.
The instant I realised who it was I was shocked and was about to throw my axe towards her. But as soon as I lifted the axe I felt like I was loosing control over my body. I felt pain all over my body and it started automatically shaking. I struggled to move my hand to the back to remove the thing that is causing me pain. But as soon as I moved a little I was assaulted by even more power and was rendered incompetent.
I looked at her with hate. I know she was the Valkyrie of Asgard. I even liked her character in the movie as she was fun to watch. But I want thing more than to put my axe into her neck.
*Narrator pov*
The Valkyrie looked at the young boy who fought with vigour look at her in hate and said,
"Don't look at me like that. It was all Mordo's fault, he was the one asked for my help." She then looked at the corpse of Mordo and looked at me.
"Well, good for you and me. You got your revenge and I didn't have to share the credits I get from selling you to grandmaster." As she said that she took a huge swing of her wine bottle and threw it away as she finished it. As she was doing this all the remaining members of the clan escaped through the elevator. She then leisurely walked towards the boy who was writhing in pain.
"You fought well kid. I'll give you that much. You will do well in the colosseum." She soon walked towards the axe the boy was holding and took it to her eye level.
She held it in her hands and inspected it. But shock was inadvertently appeared on her face.
"How is this here? Was this the so called Dwarven weapon that Mardo was holding onto?" She then looked at the axe in hate and fury but didn't throw it away.
She looked at the young boy on the ground and lifted his leg and started dragging. Despite the struggling young man's anguish, she first dragged him to Mordo first and picked up his comms and access key. Then she started dragging him towards the elevator.
After getting into the elevator she used the access key to reach the roof of the building. The elevator soon reached the roof and there were lot of airships parked over here. She then dragged the kid towards her compact airship. She then opened the sip and tossed both the kid and the axe to the back of the ship and she took off.
*MC POV*
I saw her drag me around the room. I could be in a worst disaster in my life. If I was to fight Hulk like Thor was forced to, I'll be a pancake soon. I hope it's not the case.
I couldn't hold on to any longer. Sooner or later I'll blackout. I couldn't even inform the girls of this but I hope they manage somehow. I saw her drag me towards the elevator, at this point I couldn't form any coherent thoughts. Soon I blacked out.
*Arora POV*
Komiko and I were waiting a block away from the clan building waiting for Justin. Suddenly Komiko started talking to Justin anxiously. Then she looked confused.
"What is it komiko? What happened?" I asked a confused Komiko.
"It's nothing. It seems he won the fight but he said something was not right." Said komiko.
"I think we should get ready, he can give us the signal any minute now." I said that I started preparing for our escape. We slowly drove our airship towards the building waiting for his signal. The plan was for him to break out of this side of the building through the wall. I thought it was crazy but it seemed he was little too eager to do that. I don't know what's fun about that.
We waited for five minutes and our surveillance system informed that a aircraft just took of from the top floor of the building.
"It must be Mordo, maybe he is running away from Justin after he lost his axe." Said Komiko. But I was not convinced. Justin was not that stupid to go after Mordo instead of escaping.
"Should we go take a look? Maybe he is in a pinch?" I urged Komiko but she rejected me.
"No Aro, we are not doing something out of plan and there is a big chance that we could screw up." Said Komiko sternly.
She is always playful except for these kind of situation. Hmm, maybe that's how we are supposed to be? I don't know and I don't care.
We waited for ten more minutes but there was no sign of Justin
"That's it, I'm going there and getting information. Before you say anything I'm just going to take a look. If the scene is not favourable I'll get out of there as soon as I can. Ok?"
I asked Komiko to which she hesitantly nods.
I got off from the vehicle and went inside the building to take a look.
It was a mess. People are wandering here and there and they are picking and taking things out off the building. I stopped a guy that was running out with a airship engine and asked.
"Hey, tell me what's going on inside." As I said that I put the sword on his neck. He said,
"Wait. I'll tell. You are that bartender right, friends with Justin?"
"Yes, tell me what's going on?" I urged him by sinking the sword a little bit inside his neck.
"Wait! Wait! I'll tell. The Justin guy and Mordo fought, Justin won and Mordo and the captains attacked him but were killed by him." As he said that, I was relieved.
"So, where is Justin?" I asked doubltfully. If he killed them he would have informed us.
"After he killed Mordo, scrapper 142 took him with her. It seems she is going to sell him to Grandmaster." As soon as he said that I was frozen solid. Looking the opportunity the guy tried to attack me but I swiftly killed him.
I soon informed Komiko about this and went inside to take a look. When I arrived at the arena, there was a scene of carnage. Bodies that were not complete were strewn across the arena like garbage. I vaguely saw the captains, Franco and even Mordo's headless body. But Justin was nowhere to be seen. 'This is bad.'
