Power
The most fucking addicting thing in this world.
The moment you taste it, you are damned. The moment you reach your high on the power; you never wish to come down from that ecstasy. Your mind spirals, adrenaline runs through your veins, and you think everyone is beneath you. Above all, you. That you are god.
And damn, it feels good.
Then, slowly, everything turns to normalcy, but you never seem to get enough of it.
You crave the sweet, sinful taste of power. The pleasure of having people on their knees pleading for your mercy. You, on the other hand, observe from above with a smirk. The thin line between right and wrong, good and bad- blurs gradually.
Everything becomes gray, and you do things to keep power within your grasp. Hideous things.
Unknowingly, you become a slave to the power.
Then everything comes crashing down.
And when you lose power, you realize that power is a bitch.
That it never belonged to you. You were high on it all the time, now that you are sober. Troubles are your nasty hangover.
Your power is now in the hands of someone else. You are nothing but a loser, somebody that has lost all morals. People who were on their knees for you are now the ones stabbing your back with knives.
In betrayal, you bleed.
You have a sardonic grin on your face as you approach death. You should curse no one but yourself for becoming such a fucking fool. The mind gets clouded by vengeance.
Second chance, what it pleads, what it deserves.
