Chapter 13: STRANGE BEHAVIOUR OF ALIZY
Alizy's mom went downstairs.
"I think Alizy has beaten herself very badly!" she said to Alizy's father.
"What?" he asked.
"Yes, and she is not in her senses, I am worried about her, she was sad yesterday", her mom said.
"She will be fine and do ask her why she did so", Alizy's father said and left for the office.
Alizy heard her mom calling her, she tried to stand up and went downstairs.
"Mom? I informed you about my condition, then why did you call me?" she said is a light tone.
"My love, I did not call you", her mom replied.
"No, you did, you called me thrice and even I heard dad was calling my name as well", she kept on saying.
"Your dad left for the office an hour ago!" her mother replied.
"Mom! I feel so sad", she said and put her head in her mother's lap.
It was the first time that she was sharing her feeling with her mother, her mother started moving her fingers in her hair.
Alizy started looking at her hands and said, "Mom! Look at my hands, how dirty they are!"
Her mom held her hand, look at her face, and said,
"Your hands are clean and soft; it seems like I am holding a newborn baby's hand".
"Mom!! Can't you see the dirt, the stains of blood, eww! how dirty I am," she replied worriedly.
"Alizy, your hands are clean! Can't you see!" her mom scolded her.
Alizy stood up and went to wash her hands. She applied the hand-wash and started rubbing her hands, dried them with a towel, and look at her hands.
"They are dirtier!" she said and went back to wash her hands. She kept on washing her hands for thirty minutes when her mom arrived and scolded her,
"Alizy! Stop doing such things, I am being afraid of you".
"Mom! Look at my hands I hate them, I hate my face I hate myself; I am the ugliest person!" she replied and went upstairs and lock herself in her room.
She kept on doing strange things, one week passed, and she did not call any of her friends, she used to stay in her room.
In the evening, his father came back home from the office, his foot was covered with a bandage and he was unable to walk properly.
"What happened?" his wife asked, soon after looking at his foot.
"Ah, it is an outcome of an accident", he replied, started telling his wife what happened.
Her mom called Alizy, and she came downstairs.
"Alizy! Look at your father's foot", her mom said. Alizy looked at her father's foot, put both hands on her mouth, and started screaming badly.
"Alizy!!" her mom yelled. Alizy sat on the floor and started crying loudly.
"Alizy! What happened? It is just a minor injury, I will recover soon", her father tried to calm her, but she did not listen and kept on crying, she started pulling her hair.
"Alizy! Why are you crying? And leave your hair!", her mother shouted.
Alizy stood up and ran towards her room, and lock herself.
Alizy's mother got fed up with such a strange attitude of her daughter, so she decided to bring her to a psychiatrist.
"I should call Andy's mother, she is the best psychiatrist and my friend as well, she can help us in this matter," she said to Alizy's father and dial the number.
"Good evening, Kylie!" Alizy's mom said.
"Hey Good evening, I am sorry Helen, I am at my working place right now, could I call you later, if you do not mind?" Andy's mom said.
"Yes, of course", she said in a sad tone.
"Wait, is everything fine? How is Alizy?" Kylie asked.
"Kylie! She is not doing well, she is doing strange things!" Helen replied.
"Strange? For example?" Kylie asked.
"She keeps on washing her hands, calls herself ugly and today she did a weird thing, she tried to pull her hair!" Helen told her everything and she was about to cry.
"If she is washing her hands repetitively, it might be due to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and there is no need to worry about this, she is just obsessed with the fear of dirt and germs, I will do a therapy, and she will be fine in a few days!" Kylie replied.
"Why did she pull her hair?" Helen asked.
"Well, as you said earlier, she might be worried about her father, so if I say that it was due to any mental disorder, it will be an injustice to her", Kylie said.
"What should I do now?" Helen asked.
"Just calm down, take things easy, and bring her to me tomorrow", Kylie said.
Helen felt so relaxed after talking to her and listening that her daughter was normal.
The next morning, Alizy's mom heard someone knock at the door, she went to open it and it was Jack.
"Good morning, is Alizy waking?" Jack asked.
"No, she is not", Helen replied.
"Then I will wake her up! Andy told me about her condition". Jack said.
He came inside and headed towards her room, and knocked on her bedroom badly.
"Alizy! The love of your life is here, open the door", Jack said.
There was no response.
"Alizy!" he called her again.
Alizy opened the door and just hugged Jack, and started crying, Jack was shocked to see this.
"Oh, what happened? Why you are behaving like girls?" Jack asked in a very serious tone.
"I lost my mother and father!!" she said and kept on crying.
"Have you lost your mind? Your mother and father are sitting in the lounge, I just met them ", Jack said.
"No, no, no! they are dead, I will die as well", Alizy said and she was crying so badly and loudly.
Jack was upset, he was such a lionhearted person, but seeing Alizy crying like this, distressed him. He left her and went back to his home.
"Jack!" he heard Alizy's mom call him, but he did not listen and just left.
Instead of going to his own home, he went to Andy's place and knocked at the door.
Andy opened the door.
"Jack? everything okay?" Andy asked.
"Can I meet your mom, it is urgent!" Jack replied.
"Sure, but she is busy, she is getting ready and will leave for the hospital soon", Andy said.
"It is fine, I will not take much time", Jack said sadly and came inside.
"Oh, Jack, how is you dear", Kylie asked.
"Doing well". Jack replied.
"What happened young boy? Why do you seem so dull?" Kylie asked.
" Andy told me about Alizy condition and went to see her and I am feeling sad after seeing her, she is suffering, she is not the one she used to be! he is in a state of great mental distress", he kept on saying and Kylie listened to him carefully.
"There is no need to worry about it, she is just suffering from OCD I will start treatment soon!" Kylie said.
"No, it is not an OCD, she said her father and mother are no more, and she cried so badly, even I got confused, please, Dr. Kylie do something, she is in trouble", Jack said.
"Dead? Oh, she is lying and making fake stories, I do not want to say but it is another mental disorder named Factitious disorder, we need to treat it as soon as possible, I will visit Alizy personally in the evening!" Kylie said.
