Chapter 50: A night full of nightmares 2

" You don't have to answer , I can already see everything from your face ".
Says Kurumi giggling apparently pleased with the man's reaction .
" Now back to the plan ."
Says Kurumi turning her attention to the earpiece in her ear .
" Neo you come with me , and you Copper stay with him ."
Says Kurumi when with the help of Neo both disappear from the sight of both men .

" Ash , you can start".
Said Kurumi's voice coming from the earpiece in Ash's ear , who with the help of Neo sembelance stood invisible on one of the containers standing in the square in front of the warehouse .
Hearing Kurumi's words , Ash looked at his watch then taking a deep breath he looked with binoculars at the three cars standing in front of the main gate of the facility . The cars stood in a line parallel to the road . In such a way as to look as if they were simply parked . However, the three men in front of the cars betray that this is not the case .
Looking around one last time Ash sees from his position the entire square in front of the warehouse which has been fenced off with a brick wall which is patrolled by two thugs . The square in front of the warehouse is not large , it can be divided into three parts . The part where Ash is now is the smallest space where containers are stored.
There are only four containers there , two of which have been stacked on top of each other and it is at this highest point that Ash is located . Between the container is two meters of space and between the containers, the fence and the building is five meters on each side on all sides except the front.
In front of the containers is another part of the square . To be more precise , the parking lot that extends along the wall of the main building on this parking lot is room for up to ten cars but because of the hour there is only one car belonging to the owner of the warehouse .
Further from the parking lot , the warehouse building narrows taking the shape of an L which allows to measure there a maneuvering area for trucks allowing them to enter the unloading / loading dock there .
It is in one of these open docks that the truck familiar from the Kurumi video stands next to which another two people . And it is the maneuvering area that is the last and largest space of the square in front of the warehouse .
Finishing his reconnaissance Ash hides his binoculars while watching as two thugs patrolling the fence enter the narrow passage between the containers exactly below him .Dropping his cover Ash jumps on the two thugs in the narrow passage below him . Landing with his feet on their shoulders Ash almost knocks them both to the ground .
Scoring an awkward landing, Ash flips forward to cushion the fall, then in a swift motion he executes a spinning kick aimed at the head of one of the thugs . The force of Ash's kick was enough to make the head of the thug , who was leaning against the container, hit the wall of the container and then bounced off it knocking him to the ground.
Of course Ash wasted no time and when the second thug, who like his already unconscious co-worker was leaning against the container with one hand while in his other hand he was holding a gun pointed at Ash, making Ash quickly grab the hand with the gun pointed at him at the same time with his index finger blocking the back of the gun trigger not allowing the gun to fire.
Them Ash with his other hand stabbed a long knife into the hand with which the thugs were leaning against the container . The knife pierced through the hand of the thug after which it nestled in the metal wall of the container thus pinning the thugs hand .
Holding the other hand of the thug, Ash pushed the man against the wall of the container, blocking the painful screams of the thug with his forearm, which he held on the throat of the battered man . Pressing harder with his forearm on the throat of the thug , Ash slammed the armed hand of the man he was holding against the wall with the intention of causing the thug to drop his weapon, who actually dropped it on the second strike .
Seeing that his goal was achieved Ash pulled his forearm off the thug's throat only to immediately strike the same hand straight at his throat . Losing the ability to speak the thug watched with breathlessness and drooling as the knife in his hand was removed and then stabbed straight into his heart .
Waiting a moment Ash let the warm blood of the thug spill over his hand shielded by a blue latex glove . Pulling out the knife Ash let the body of the dead thug slip with his back on the wall of the container eventually falling sideways to the ground . At this time Ash approached the unconscious thug after which without hesitation he slit his throat . Watching the blood spill on the ground Ash similarly to Neo but with more skill wiped his knife on the clothes of the slain thug .
" Follow me , we still have to deal with those in front of the gate " .
Said Ash addressing someone , despite the fact that he was there alone . Not bothered by the lack of response Ash checked his watch .
" Each lap took these two eleven minutes . It's been five , so if they don't get a call , we still have six minutes before the two should get past the people at the truck ."
Said Ash , again addressing in the plural . However , as he moved forward behind him on the blood that spilled down the aisle appeared distorted . Then on the unbloody concrete behind Ash there were bloody footprints of two small pairs of feet indicating that he was indeed not alone .
Walking along the wall that gave him shadow cover Ash reached the middle of the square ,the place where the parking lot connects to the maneuvering area . There is an entrance gate which fortunately for Ash was open .
Immediately next to the open gate are three cars with three people guarding them and the entrance . Two thugs whose weapons can be seen tucked behind their belts are standing in front of the hood of the first car in a row of which all doors were open, while a thug with two horns on his forehead sat in the driver's seat .
There was quiet music coming from the car as the two thugs in front of the hood talked to each other. If it wasn't for where they were or the photos Ash had received , anyone else would have mistaken it for the sight of average gang members who had stopped on the side of the road to do their thing.
With the situation in the city it wasn't the safest thing to do , but still it fit in with the everyday view of this area of the city making it blend in .
" One of you cross the street to that alley, make noise there to distract them . The other follow me ."
Says Ash when quiet footsteps seem to be heard passing by him . Then waiting a moment from the alley opposite the gate loud noises are heard , just as if something or someone is hitting the trash cans in the alley . Of course the three thugs did not ignore it . Looking at each drew their weapons but still they remained in the same positions .
" Boss we have a situation here , loud noises are heard from the alley . We are not sure what it is . Should we check or ignore it ?"
Asks the thug with horns on his forehead over his radio , continuing to sit on the seat of the car . Waiting a moment faunus nods and looking at the other two , he turns to one of them .
" We have to check it , you go " .
Says faunus to the skinny thug who looked at faunus with displeasure .
" Why should I be the one to go , when you are sitting ? "
Asks the man whose voice could be recognized from the Kurumi recording .
" Because I say so and I do not like you and that racist friend of yours , pussy " .
Said faunus making the thug standing next to the skinny man laughed .
" Are you afraid of grimm or what ? It's probably a cat or something "
Says the abbot looking at the skinny man . However , despite his amusement , you could tell that the tone was sarcastic as he angrily watched the skinny man mumbling something under his breath as he walked towards the alley .
" He wants to withdraw "
Said faunus with displeasure .
" There's nothing to worry about dead bodies so don't waste energy , he and that fellow of his won't live to see the next payday ."
Says the thug sitting down on the hood of the car resting his foot on the wheel .
" Is it about that email ? "
Asks fanus to which the thug nods .
"It was obvious from the last sale , here is no last job . "Talking about the last job "is to see if someone will drop out or give up ."
Says the thug making the faunus laught.
" Anyone who refuses the next job will be silenced . In this case it's him and his colleague . I never liked them one is a fearful pussy and the other is a racist scumbag . So it's good more money to share ."
Faunus says licking his lips .
" Unlike selling drugs , for this I can feed myself . Maybe the boss isn't the most understanding but this job is safe and profitable as long as we have jerks like the owner of this warehouse . So who normal would give up such an income ."
Says thug laughing together with faunus .
" If we are talking about jerks , the boss already has another one willing to "cooperate" ."
Says Faunus watching the skinny man walk up to the entrance of the alley .
" It's better for us and our customers " .
Says the thug with which faunus agrees .
" This , customers made quite a smoke in Vale . They had the balls to blow up two Xiong hideouts . The third bomb damaged one of the Xiong warehouses with dust " .
Said faunus with a shit-eating grin .
" Now they hid , the boss says that when we deliver the dust to them they will do it again ."
Says the thug when the noises in the alley suddenly stops, looking towards the skinny man they both see him shining his flashlight into the darkness and apparently seeing nothing there he shrugged his shoulders turning away with the intention of returning .
" Better check what is inside the alley and not look into it so superficially ."
Shouts the thug loud enough for the skinny man to hear him . Angrily but silently the skinny man turned back to the alley again this time going inside . Seeing the flashlight light flashing in the darkness of the alley both thugs in the cars return to their conversation .
" So that is their tactic , hit and run . Wisely , after such attacks Xiong can not counterattack because of the police and hunters who could no longer overlook such a riot and just after everything has calmed down they will attack again ."
Said the thug satisfied with how obedient the skinny man is .
" As long as we supply them with dust and they have not slipped in any of their actions we have a long war , resulting in a lot of money . "
Says faunus apparently . satisfied and not concerned about how many people will die .
" What about other families like Rose ? How can our boss be so sure that they will not react ".
Asks the abbot genuinely interested hoping that his friend knows the answers . Fanus seeing the intentions of the thug sighs and not seeing the obstacles says what he knows .
" You see I'm not sure about this but it seems to some of us that the boss is part of a larger gang or organization . And whatever organization it is , it gives the chief confidence that we are safe ."
Says faunus when suddenly the light in the alley disappears when at the same time from the same alley comes a painful scream that sends shivers down the backs of the thugs .
Horned faunus already with his weapon drawn was about to get up and prepare to defend himself when suddenly a thin metal string was wrapped around his throat . Being pulled back fanus leaning him against his sit . As his backward crooked neck began to bleed fanus in desperation put his fingers on the bloody string and tilting his head from side to side his eyes caught a dark hair with gray tips at the edge of his vision .
Feeling that he was already losing consciousness faunus looked through the windshield of the car where he saw how a small black silhouette threw itself at the thugs from behind the hood of the car , destroying his last hope of rescue .
