The room was spacious but simple, the furnitures and decor of the office was just a simple colour of black and white, though the office was a simple one, it was extremely expensive.
AJ Automobile was the top best car manufacturing company in Blitland, Founded by Miles Strother, 1988-2023, the company was thirty five years old, was handed over to Kaiden Strother. Under the rule and grooming of Miles Strother, the company was only an average one with only few people knowing about it but after the passing away of Miles Strother, the company was handed over to Kaiden Strother and as time passed by, the reputation of the company changed from average to the top best car manufacturing company in Blitland due to how Kaiden controlled things and brought it to the pinnacle of glory.
On the expensive office chair sat a man, busy and typing away on his laptop, his eyes serious on his work. His hair dark and combed backwards, his nose pointed and a thin red lips.
Kaiden Strother, a successful business man, the current CEO of AJ Automobiles, with the title of the most eligible bachelor, youngest billionaire, most handsome man, among the youngest CEOs in Blitland, etc.
"If you ask me? I think she'll be the best for your exposure therapy, c'mon give this one a try"
A man's voice rang out in the silent office disrupting the busy man who raised his head to look at the other man sitting lazily on the office couch.
Kaiden sighed, leaning backwards on the chair, he closed his eyes with his fingers drumming the table.
"You saw it for yourself, she looks like a new person in this city which means she has no job yet, we could offer her this job and I bet she won't refuse a handsome man like you. Say, what do you think?"
Lancelot asked as he sat up right, they had tried different methods for his exposure therapy but they never bore fruit but there was one more which he had been recommending to Kaiden but he would refuse it.
In-vivo exposure for phobias is the kind of treatment whereby a patient is asked to directly face his feared object, situation or activity, like when a person is scared of dogs, he or she would be asked to handle a dog.
The world saw Kaiden Strother as the perfect man on planet earth, intelligent, handsome, smart and most of all, rich but they never knew that he had a secret that he and his personal assistant/brother/ psychologist shared.

"I am exhausted Lancelot, enough of all this."
His voice low but low enough for Lancelot to hear, Kaiden was really tired, he had gone through too much process just to get cured but they never worked instead, they made him recall his bad memories, something he tried hard to forget. What was the need for a woman anyway? He doesn't think there was any need to get cured but Lancelot never thought the same.
"What'd you mean enough? Don't tell me you want to die an old maid just like Dad? You'll need a wife, femmes are always bound to cross your life, you can't continue to live your life isolated from women, that's ridiculous. You can't give up now, this is our only last and best option."
He heard Kaiden say nothing which he didn't mind, only him had seen the weakest side of Kaiden, it was a total difference from his perfect image the world knew him as. Seeing Kaiden pass through the pain of his traumatic past was hurting him badly but they both can't give up already, they've come too far to give up and something told him that the wine coloured girl they saw yesterday was different and he would never let such treasure pass them by like that.
"I can continue taking my medicine to survive around women, isn't that how I have been managing?"
Kaiden asked with his eyes still closed, Lancelot shook his head at his words before replying him..
"Yes, the medicine helped but it was always for a limited time before it becomes less effective and continuous intake of medicine like that has its own side effects as much as it's good side that's why you need to get cured."
Kaiden leaned up from the chair and open his eyes to look at Lancelot without giving him a reply because he knew Lancelot was right, medicines like that had their own side effects which cannot be a good thing.
"Excuse me, I'll do a little background check on the lady and get back to you."
With that he left the office with Kaiden staring at nothing, his face was unreadable as usual.
