Chapter 36: Leave none alive

**Big thanks to Charlie Puente-Duany**

"Hmm, it would seem we finally have them cornered". The strong arm chief spoke to the other two chiefs at his side after he had received the report from his men.

"Such a shame the brat Arthor isn't here" the red bone chief let out a laugh, "a shame indeed, but we still get to kill the Undying. I'm sure Arthor would appreciate his brother's head." The strong arm chief let out a laugh as well.

"Bah" The white tusk chief spat into the snow before speaking up, "Undying, tsk these brats barely of their mothers tits win a few skirmishes and think themselves worthy of titles." the white tusk's chief's disdain was clear to all.

"Ulfric as well a disgrace, to think I once considered him as an equal. Let us end this now", saying so the chief began his March with the other two chiefs and their men following after him.

They all arrived before a pass, formed by two massive rocks seemingly falling into one another forming a narrow path that barely let ten Skagossi men walk side by side.

The Skagossi men weren't strangers to such passes as they were littered all over Skagos.

"Alright men, move in and bring me their heads" The strong arm chief ordered his men, causing a few of them to move into the path. They had taken a few steps into the pass when they were peppered full of arrows.

"It would seem, they want to make a last stand" The red bone chief spoke up finding the actions of Benjen and the others amusing.

"With less than ten men and barely any weapons I would like to see just how long they can hold. Men ready yourselves bring me the heads of those rats."

With their shields at the ready the men charged into the pass once more this time in a larger group, as though a tide looking to drown out the rats hiding in the pass.

Benjen's people were quick to respond with their arrows but with the enemy now aware of the arrows. Their shields were at the ready, blocking most of the arrows a few lucky shots managed to down a few men, but these casualties were nothing to the tide of men crashing down on them.

"Brothers, ATTACK!!" Benjen screamed out as he and the others who had grabbed advantageous spots began to engage in combat. The enemies large numbers in such a confined space became their disadvantage as their movement was impeded.

Benjen's men who were already ready dealt with the men before them. The enemy might have had a large amount of men but only a ten could come up at a time, the battle was finally in Benjen's favor.

But he knew all this was temporary, because immediately they downed a man another took his place. This was a strain on stamina, stamina he and his men had little of.

Benjen began to utter his prayers as he knew today could be his last.

Screams resounded from the village of the red bone tribe. They had long become overlords with few opponents truly worry in these woodlands.

Due to all this their village hadn't been attacked in generations.

Yet today, out of the blue with no warning from any of their subsidiary villages. Their village was under attack with their walls torn down with their homes set ablaze.

The songs of steel as well as the cries of people, reverberated throughout of the flaming battlefield that the people once called home.

Arthor covered in the blood of his enemies run his sword through a man before pushing the corpse of his blade. "Leave none alive!" Arthor screamed once again causing all those to him to repeat the words, "Leave none alive!".

Soon all of Arthor's men were screaming out, "Leave none alive!". With the battlefield now descended into total chaos, Lagertha led her own group of men to engage in the blood bath.

Largetha knew her task was a difficult one. Letting a few escape on their own was not as easy as it sounded, she had to lead her men who knew nothing of her true mission to engage in Battle, whilst letting a unobvious path out of here show.

She also had to make it look like a mistake and opportunity to the enemies who would most likely think it was a trap.

Relying on her experience, Lagertha manouverd her group burning homes and killing the people who dared cross her path. Lagertha managed to take notice of a few people hiding, and steered her men clear allowing them to escape.

Seeing her mission was a success she finally moved to kill all the remaining enemies walking, screaming "Leave none alive!"
