Chapter 96: Chapter 91
" Nighty night, Mr. Cuddles..." Cana said with mirth before tilting Ekko's head towards her and attacking his lips, Ekko didn't resist and even kissed her back before the two separated.
She kissed, Ekko before, but for some reason, that kiss felt different from all the rest, as she felt her heartbeat was racing.
Cana gave Ekko a smile, different from her usual playful one, and twisted her body again before resting her head and falling asleep on Ekko's chest.
Ekko wrapped his arms around Cana's waist before doing the same.

{3 days Later: Yakusa high-school}

With that final note the duet was finished, Ekko and Kaori who had finished the song took a deep breath.
Kaori looked at Ekko with stars in her eyes and bounced to his side." Ekko that was amazing, we were perfect together, and our coordination was also really good." Kaori said.
" Thanks, I've never really done a duet before so it was a new experience." Ekko replied while thinking.' Plus it was a system task so a win, win.'
"...Mhh, looks like we're gonna have to finish this session today, I still need to... ahhing." Suddenly Kaori let out a painful moan as she held her wrist.
" Huh Kaori, what's wrong did you injure yourself." Ekko asked as he noticed Kaori's pained expression, she was hiding it well but Ekko could see through the mask.
" No no, I'm fine, I probably just rocked to hard that's all, I'm fine really. As I was saying my mums picking me up today so I need to get going...by the way, do you want to perform with me on the school's upcoming Lockdown?" Kaori suddenly asked confusing Ekko.
" Huh, lockdown, that's the first time I've heard of it, is it some sort of music competition," Ekko asked curiously and Kaori who heard that gasped and knocked her own head.
" Ughhh, I'm so forgetful of course you wouldn't know what the lockdown was. I'm sorry Ekko forget I said anything, but just know it's a really fun event the school holds for all years every second week of school."
Kaori said mysteriously and Ekko was now curious about what this lockdown was but no matter how much he asked Kaori kept her lips tight.
After waving Kaori off Ekko decided to stay in the music room for just a bit longer and try out some of the other instruments and teck the school had to offer.

After having fun in the music room Ekko made his way back to the Inn. But on his way, he was stunned to find Eris working and helping out in Granny Chio's Store.
After a quick conversation, Ekko found out that as one of Eris's main goals of getting to know earth's culture she had decided to get a part-time job.
And when Granny chio had heard that she had decided to give Eris a job at her Store. Ekko didn't mind as long as she wasn't exposing her identity.
Ekko was thankful for all the cosplayers and ferries in the world, otherwise, Eris would have attracted way too much attention, not that she doesn't already.
' Wait maybe there's something in the system shop to hide her identity, I'll have to check it out at a later date '
After saying goodbye to Eris and Granny Chio he made his way back you the Inn.
Unsurprisingly most of the tenants were out today doing their own thing, even Cana who would normally be at home, was out doing errands.
{No she wasn't, she was out drinking.}
Masane was out meeting with her editor and Rangiku was out doing photo shoots.
Actually, she wasn't alone as the shoot she was doing needed a puppy and once Rangiku had shown photos of Cerbie they immediately asked if they could use him for the shoot.
Seeing no problem with it Ekko gave Rangiku permission to take him.
After getting home Ekko Immediately took a shower and changed his clothes before cooking everyone's dinner.
" What should I do now then, im not really in the mood to play any games and I don't want to surf the Internet...wait didn't I get that reward a few days ago."
Ekko remembered that he had received a renovation ticket for beating all the records in the school health examination.
What the ticket did was renovate any part of the house or area you wanted and if for example, you wanted a vintage bathroom you would get exactly that.
Even if you didn't know exactly what you wanted the ticket would customize the thing or room to your unconscious preference.
" Might as well use it...mhhh! The girls said that they were a band, and this inn only has a dance area but not a music room for recording." Ekko thought as having a recording studio would be pretty cool.
So with a single thought, Ekko used the renovation ticket and the system informed him that it was already done.
Ekko smiled and made his way to the third floor of the Inn where the music/Recording room was now located.

Ekko whistled in appreciation as the moment he entered he was already amazed at how cool the interior looked.

" System you outdid yourself." Ekko complimented as he looked and explored all around.
The recording room had multiple other rooms attached to it like a small lounge area, and even a room with amps, wires, headphones, and all kinds of musical instruments.

As Ekko entered another room he looked around curiously as this room looked more chill than the other ones. This room even had color-changing lights, and futuristic-looking decor.

" I should test this room out before telling the girls about it. It will definitely be a surprise to them." Ekko thought as he quickly grabbed the equipment he would need and started a session.
" Guitar check, looper check, recording on check, microphones on...looks like I'm all set to start."

The song started with Ekko plucking the guitar strings with a catchy intro. Once those beginning strings were on repeat he hummed into the mic.
"Hmmmmmm~...Hmmmmm~...Hmmmmm!"
He then started to strum the guitar as he continued his humming, and as the song continued his humming became more high-pitched.
A small smile crept up on his face as he stopped his strumming and started tapping the body of the guitar.

As he continued to sing the lyrics his foot started to tap to the beat of the music. As Ekko performed and got into the music, he became more and more energetic.
"This is how it ends...

Ekko put the previous hums on repeat as he sang the next part of the lyrics.

Ekko put those lyrics on repeat as he began to strum the Guitar with even more ferocity.

With a burst of power, Ekko sang the last verse of the chorus, and all the moving pieces of the song Ekko had on loop completely disappeared only leaving Ekko's voice reverberating in the background.
Ekko continued to strum his guitar finishing the final part of the whole solo.
And finally, with one final strum, the song was over.
Ekko took a deep breath and smiled.
" Not bad..."
