Chapter 5: New HERO Summon
The audience were speechless, shocked, curious, and excited about the outcome of Yuji and Crowler duel.
[I can't believe it! Professor Crowler lost?!!]
Say Chazz gritting his teeth, as he gazed fiercely at Yuji.
On the hand, a boy and girl on the top podium also looking at Yuji.
"He really beat Crowler... that guy" said the girl with dark blonde long hair.
The boy beside him nod to her words.
On the other side of the podium where Jaden, Syrus, and Misawa were watching.
"What an interesting duel! Isn't that right?!" Say Jadeb excited.
"It's really like you said" say Syrus still surprised about the outcome.
"Hum" Misawa nod, "Using the effect of Absolute Zero to destroy the opponent's monster, and using Great Maju Garzett to gain attack power to set up an OTK..... it's really clever" say Misawa as he held his chin, trying to analyze the previous duel.
"Kuh, I can't wait anymore!! I want to duel!!" say Jaden as he looks at the arena where Yuji and Crowler were standing.
On the arena where Crowler and Yuji were dueling earlier.
"Good Game!" say Yuji, as he points his fingers like a gun to Crowler.
[Ai... lost?! Mei who had Ph.D. in dueling lost?!! Non, non, Non!!]
Professor Vellian Crowler had a very, very sour... expression on his face.
Looking at Yuji who were happy, and even DARE to point his fingers (even it was for compliment) is making him angry.
He felt that Yuji in front of him is like stepping on his Dueling Ph.D. certificate as he's rubbing the dirt on his shoe on it with a happy go monkey face.
[Signore Kusanagi!!]
Yuji who noticed the angry expression on Crowler sensei quickly retracted his hand, and giving him a 90° bow.
"Thank you for the guidance sensei" of course he doesn't forget to say a compliment, "I notice midway that you deliberately didn't go all out, if you had... the one who's winning isn't me"
Of course that was B.S, but hey as long it makes the other party happy it isn't wrong, right?
...right?
"Humph. Of course Ai won't go all out against an examinee, no matter what Mei is a teacher" snort him, as he nodded repeatedly to convince himself.
"Hmph! I knew it!!" sneer Chazz.
Even so, he can't help looking at Yuji. He felt a strong Déjà vu whenever he looks at his face.
The duel is over, Yuji won.
He then walks out from the arena toward the spot where Sakura is currently sitting.
"You won" say Sakura with a blank expression.
"Um. It's thanks to you who pray for me, I manage to defeat him" say Yuji smiling.
Yuji then raise his hand, Sakura who notice what he wants to do were smiling.
CLAP!
A High Five, for the two of them.
"Good work" tell Sakura.
"Umu" reply him nodding.
Yuji tilt his head slightly, confused as to why Sakura look at him deeply with her usual expressionless face without saying anything further to him.
"... do you want to go home? Or still watching? Ask Sakura.
Yuji hold his chin thinking, "Hmm... watching I guess" say Yuji, then he sits followed by Sakura beside him.
On the examination arena.
Vellian grits his teeth and clenching his hands as hard as he can, still frustrated because he loses to an examinee that he labeled as a fannulloni (slacker).
[Signore Kusanagi! Ai won't forget this!!]
Then another announcement was made
"Examinee Number 109, Jaden Yuki..."
Yuji who recognized this name raised his head slightly, "Oh, it's Jaden's turn"
Sakura tilt her head looking at Yuji, "Your friend?"
Yuji scratches his head, "Um, sort of. He crashed to me this morning and then-" he starts to explaining to Sakura of what happens before he got here.
"I see..." nod her.
Both of them then start watching Jaden who is going to duel Crowler.
When Crowler look at Jaden, there's one thing come into his mind.
[He's look like an Idiot]
Crowler then start introducing himself to Jaden, the previous duel he wasn't able to introducing himself after all.
"Eh? I was battling The Director of Practical Appliance of The Duel Academy? And I won?!!" surprised Yuji, as his eyebrows raised.
"You didn't know?"
Yuji shakes his head, "Nu uh, how should I know?!"
On Crowler's side, he was baffled watching Jaden's response.
[He's truly an idiot, no-ne]
He was looking at the teenage kid who is smiling happily like a fool, hearing that he would face him.
[Like a monkey who is given a banana] think him.
Crowler snorted, looking at Jaden's expression. He's then grinning widely showing his full white teeth, it would be hilarious if his grinning face would be printed on a card. Wait, it has, and it was a pot of greed.
"Sa... let's had a fun duel, teach!!" Shout Jaden, as the plate of Duel Disk begin to extend.
"Ai lost before, Ai can't smear my name any further!!" whisper Crowler.

"Moi turn, draw" this time the first move was made by Crowler.
When he saw the cards in his hand, he can't help grinning happily like a vicious pirate looking at the treasure.
[Kukuku, sorry but... it's moi victory]
"From moi hand, Ai activate the spell card Polymerization!"
The audience were excited to see what kind of monster that Crowler would summon.
"Observed!! The ultimate monster of Ancient Gear series!! The Ultimate Ancient Gear Monster!!!"
Dark cloud begin appearing on the arena, accompanied by the thunderous applause of the lightnings.
From the center of the thunderous cloud, a rusty mechanical robot slowly descent.
Body like a centaur, the upper half is the mechanized human body, the lower half is a quad pedal mechanized horse body.
The head is like a roman Centurion helmet, and the left arm is different in color and in shape unlike the rest of the body.
"A- amazing!" say Jaden looking at the descending rusty mechanical robot.
When the monster finally landing, it causes a heavy dirt smoke, making Jadeb instinctively close his eyes and holding his breath.
Crowler looking at his majestic monster can't help but to laughs.
When the smoke gradually disappear, Jaden can't help but feel a goosebumps. Unlike any duel he had until now, this is probably the strongest monster he faced.
Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem
ATK/ 4400 DEF/3400
During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. If this card is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Ancient Gear Golem" from your Graveyard, ignoring the Summoning conditions (anime effect).
The audience also speechless looking at the monster.
"It's just the first turn, and he already summoned a high level monster, moreover that monster is the combination of three Ancient Gear Golem! ...as expected of The Director of Practical Appliance" say Misawa.
Misawa folded his arms, he looks at Jaden who's facing the monster Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem "Now, show me what you're going to do Jaden Yuki, show me why you deserved to be Number 1"
On the other side of the podium, Chazz grits his teeth and look at the two of them with bulging eyes, shocked as to see Crowler' Ace Monster.
The other student also shocked looking at the new monster, especially the two on the top podium.
"Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem... it's really terrifying" say The blonde long haired girl, as sweats begin to form on her forehead.
The boy beside her nod, and he narrowed his eyes at the student who's facing it.
Crowler grinning viciously, "Signore Jaden, if you want to forfeit you can do it now"
Jaden shakes his head, his whole body is shivering from the excitement
[What a monster! Truly... dueling is really fun!!]
"Sorry, but- I can't back down from a challenge!!"
Crowler snorted, "Then I end my turn", say him looking at Jaden with disdain look.
Jaden then takes a deep breath, "My turn, Draw!", Jaden's pupil expand as he looks at the card he draws.
"Then, I activate the spell card Polymerization from my hand!!"
Crowler begin to narrowed his eyes, "Fusion?"
"I fused Elemental HERO Avian and Elemental HERO Burstinatrix! Come, Elemental HERO Flame Wingman!!"
The audience is in uproar again, especially Crowler, "Nani?!! It's a HERO again?!!"
Yuji stands up, surprise, "Another HERO user?! ...Just like me!"
Judai didn't stop and begin his move, "Then, I activate the spell card Lightning Vortex!"
Crowler mouth open in disbelief.
"By discarding 1 card, destroy all face-up your opponent controls!"
From the sky, multiple lightning strikes Crowler's monster, The Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem can't hold the lightning strikes, then it blew up to pieces.
Vellian Crowler were shocked looking at his destroyed monster, his eyes bulging and mouth hanging open.
He is so shocked that he missed the activation of his monster effect.
"Not yet, I activate card of sanctity!"
Jaden begin to draw until he had six cards on his hand, Crowler also do it too but slow like a snail.
Card of Sanctity effect: Each player draws until they have 6 cards in their hand (anime effect).
Jaden smile, he holds his card up high, "Yosh... At this moment, I activate another Polymerization! Come, Elemental HERO Thunder Giant!!"
Now his field is occupy by two monsters.
One is a HERO monster with Red Dragon Head on his right hand, and a white wing on his left shoulder.
The other one is a HERO monster who tall hero, with bulky yellow armor, and visored helmet.
"Battle! My HEROes attack sensei directly!!"
The Flame Wingman Shoot a fireball from his dragon head weapon, while Thunder Giant condense the lightning into a ball shape and then throwing it.
Crowler watch silently as the two attacks approaching him.
[HERO users... is truly annoying!!!]
BOOM!!!
Just like Pot Of Greed, Crowler really draw two (misfortune) cards... called Yuji Kusanagi and Jaden Yuki.

"Gotcha, What an interesting duel!"
say Jaden point his fingers and winking toward the defeated Vellian Crowler.
