Crowler's room...
"Ta-Da! It's done!!"
In front of him, a girl with twin tail hair who look like an elementary school student drops a bunch of paper and notebook on top of the table with dramatic fanfare.
The corner of Crowler's right eye twitched, looking at Kei's rude behavior.
Kei crossed her arms, and with a prideful look she asked, "What with the sour face? I told you I can finish the assignments earlier"
"Earlier you say...", Crowler let out a deep sigh as he started checking one of her papers.
[This assignment... isn't this the first assignment Ai gave you on the first day of the current semester? It's almost a month late!]
He then check another assignment he gave her.
"Nyonyo?!", Crowler widened his eyes like an owl, shocked to see the content of her notebook.
"Isn't this the assignment Ai gave you at the start of the semester last year?!"
Kei slightly tilted her head sideways, confused.
"Is it? Huh, maybe it got mixed in", told her calmly as if nothing was wrong.
Crowler's face become redder as he got mad by the second he spent time with her.
Quickly, he checked the other assignments of her and found out that the assignments he gave her for the current semester is only... one!
She only finished one assignment!
Most assignments she handed is from last year! Heck, there is also an assignment from two years ago that he remembers because he practically gave that assignment for the current first year.
"Mamma Mia...", whispers Crowler as he does a facepalm, expressing his disappointment.
"Signora Mavis... what's the meaning of this?", asked Crowler as he rolled one of Kei's notebook.
"Meaning? Is... there any?", replied her with an innocent look.
Crowler grit his teeth while looking at her with maddening eyes.
He didn't know if she is really lying or just straight out stupid, even though Kei Mavis answering him with an innocent expression belonging to that of a child, deep down he can't help but felt that the girl in front of him is lying and sneering at him.
Looking at her expression made Crowler remember another former student of him from Slifer Red with a stupid face.
Jaden Yuki: Gotcha, that was a fun duel!
Remembering his stupid face and catchphrase, he squeezed the notebook harder.
Having enough of her, Crowler rise from his chair and then pointing the edge of the rolled up notebook to her face.
"Signora Mavis! Out of all the assignment you handed over, you only did ONE!!", shouts Crowler.
The moment Crowler do that made Kei a bit startled.
She then held her chin, and nonchalantly asked.
"Ehhh? That's strange, you sure you aren't mistaken? TEA... CHER?"
Crowler do a facepalm. This particular 3rd year student amazingly manages to test the limit of his patience, and bring him to another mental level of headache.
He really wanted to smack that tiny head of her, but for an elite teacher like him that isn't the professional thing to do nor elegant.
With a deep sigh, Crowler took a pocket-size notebook from his drawer, opens it, then shows it to Kei his writing or specifically the assignments he gave to the 3rd year.
"Signora Mavis, this is the assignments Ai gave for the 3rd year! Among it, you only finished ONE!"
He continues, "Not only that, but the one you've finished is already pass its due! If you keep slacking off, Ai'm afraid that you must hold back a year!"
"Geh!", listening to him, made her expression sour. "Come on, give me some leeway! If it isn't because of me, Aster won't come to The Academy!".
"Gigguk!", Crowler was startled.
In order to employ After, a huge sum of money is required. It was so huge, that Crowler's five years worth of live saving wouldn't be even enough.
Forget about the money, one also need a connection to even reach him
Rather than using his own money or The Academy's fund, Kei takes the initiative to use her own money.
Albeit he doesn't know how she can make Aster agree to come and dueling those two, he certainly believes she got a channel or two.
Because the girl in front of him is a young duelist that is not only manages to beat Chancellor Sheppard and half of The Academy's teachers, but she is also manages to get a permit from the higher up to build her own building on The Island.
Kei Mavis isn't some normal student!!!
Crowler folded his arms. What Kei is saying was right. If it isn't for her help, maybe he'll stick to hiring Paradox Brother, then maybe Jaden and Yuji wouldn't be expelled.
Thinking about this, he can't help but letting out a sigh.
"Fine... the topic of you manage to graduate or not can wait until the final assessment"
Crowler sit again, then begin to tidying Kei's assignments.
Resting his chin on his crossed hands, Crowler continues.
"But Ai hope the remaining assignments will be finished before the end of the week"
Kei let out a huge smile, then give Crowler a salute like a soldier saluting her commander for his last departure from the army.
"Aye Aye teacher!", told her with a glee.
Crowler closed his eyes while pinching his nose bridge, glad that one of her problems almost solved.
"Now, let's talk about your... hmm?"
Crowler squinted his eyes, looking at the paper containing the result and score for the practical exam.
"Zero?! You got zero?! Wha- and you lost against a Slifer Student! Moreover, that student is the repeater Chumley Huffington?! How?!!"
Listening to his shocked expression, Kei just nonchalantly scratches her hair.
"Iyaaaa, you see the moment I realized who would I'm going to face in the exam... I lost the motivation"
"Then?!", shouts him, wanted to know the remaining reason.
With an awkward smile, she answered. "So, I ditched the exam... haha"
"You? Ditched the exam?! Why?!", shouts Crowler, glaring at Kei with a maddening expression as he brings his face closer to her.
Kei crossed her arms and nods, without a shred of embarrassment or even tried to lie, she answered.
"Yup! As for why... who wanted to duel against a weakling like him?"
Kei chuckle, then continues.
"You forgot? He was my opponent at the final practical exam last year! As you know, that time... I was completely massacring him"
Crowler nods, as the one who oversee their duel the memory of their duel is still fresh in his mind.

"I- I fuse Big Koala and Des Kangaroo in my hand, then fusion summon Master of Oz in attack position!"
A card is ejected from the extra deck, with a quick gesture Chumley took it then placed the card in the monster zone.
Moment later, a giant koala wearing a boxing attire with a vertical scar on his left eye emerges on his field, then doing a series of quick punches as to taunt Kei.

There is only one monster on Kei's field with only 300 attack power, plus there isn't a single card on the back rows.
So, Chumley think this is a very good opportunity to start the offensive.
Chumley waved his hand, "Master of Oz... attack Fluffal Rabbit!"
Master of Oz took a deep breath, then let out a steam from its ears like an angry chimney.
It then quickly step into Kei's monster zone, closing off the distance between him and the sacrificial rabbit. With a loud roar, Master of Oz then discharges a heavy uppercut that send Fluffal Rabbit to the stars.

"Yosha!", Chumley, clenched his right hand in delight. Proud that he can dish out 3900 damage in one turn.
[Just one more attack, I can win this duel!]
On the opposing side, even after receiving huge damage, Kei just standing unfazed while clapping her hands, giving Chumley an applause with a lovely smile.
"Wow... amazing! To summon a monster that exceed Obelisk's attack and drains my Life Points to 100, you're truly strong!! You sure you're a Slifer?!"
Listening to Kei's praise made Chumley bashful, he can't help but to blush while scratching his cheek.
"T- Thank you...", replied him.
Kei nods, "You're welcome. Now, can I start my turn?"
"W-wait... let me set a card first", said Chumley in his usual soft voice.
Chumley then sets a Mirror Force card, with this if Kei go for an offense, he can end it by destroying all her attack position monster, just like killing two birds with one stone.
"I... end my turn", declares him.
The moment Chumley announced it, Kei smile changed into a perverse grin belonging to that of Hyenas.
"It's my turn, draw!", said Kei Mavis.
"First off, I summon Fluffal Own in attack position!"
A circular portal appears on the ground, spewing glitter dust and fun symbols like smile emoticon, star, heart, and many more, which then a fluffy looking owl flies out from the portal flapping its warm-colored wings and then adjusted it glasses.

"Another low level monster... ", said Chumley, who didn't suspect anything.
"The effect of Fluffal Owl", said Kei while press the button on her Duel Disk, "When this card is normal or special summoned from my hand, I can add one Polymerization from my deck to my hand"
Her Duel Disk ejects a card, with a lovely smile she took it, then shows to Chumley the card.
"From my hand, I activate the spell card Polymerization!", said her smiling with a bit of dramatic tone.
A whirlpool of Red and Purple energy appears on the ground.
"Now by sending Fluffal Owl and Edge Imp Sabres to The Graveyard, I fusion summon a monster"
The fluffy-cute looking Bird of Prey and Row of Scissors who made a snipping sound in unison swirls into the whirlpool.
For an unknown reason, the moment Kei fusion summoning a monster, Chumley felt a very disturbing sensation filling his stomach.
"This sensation... what is it?", wonders him as sweats trickling down his back.
From the whirlpool, a plushie of a legendary Asian white tiger with many patches like scars slowly emerges from within.
Without a warning, a giant scissor impaling its abdomen, dividing it body into two parts, but that's not the end of it as blades of scissor emerges from it shoulders, rips and tears its forearms to replaced the limbs.
With playful attitude like a jester, Kei introduce her fusion monster.
"Jan-Jajan!!! Frightfur... Tiger!"

Looking at Frightfur Tiger, the disturbing feeling Chumley felt was getting stronger, it as if he unknowingly a very acidic drink that slowly burned his stomach from the inside.
Kei's smile become wider as she's looking at Chumley's fearful expression.
"Frightfur Tiger's effect activate! When this monster is fusion summoned, I can target then destroy the card on the field up to the number of materials used for its fusion summon", explained her.
Chumley's expression become pale after listening to her explanation.
"Destroy up to the number of fusion materials? Don't- don't tell me..."
Kei nods as she shows a V gesture using her fingers to Chumley, "Yup! I can destroy two cards on the field"
She then points her middle finger toward Chumley's face.
"Frightfur Tiger, destroy Fatso's Master of Oz and his set card!"
Listening to her order made Frightfur Tiger laughs, its laugh is so disorienting, like one's listening to a tortoise mating sound combined with an asthma patient gasping for air combined in full volume on television.
Like a cat threw up a fur ball from its mouth, Frightfur Tiger launched two spiked balls like underwater naval mines toward Chumley's monster and the set card, blowing it to bits the moment the bomb touched it.
"Nooo!", shouts Chumley.
"Kabloom!", Kei start to laughs as she saw Chumley's ace monster and his powerful Mirror Force trap card get rekt.
Without any card on his field, Chumley's breath become heavier.
He previously thought that with the combination of Master of Oz's high attack and Mirror Force as defensive shield, he can win against her in this year last practical exam.
But much to his surprise, it didn't turn out to be what he was hoping for.
With a simple effect, his two strongest cards are easily destroyed.
"It's not over yet, you know?", said Kei as she activated another card.
Chunley hasn't recovered from his shock, but Kei already start another move to kick his butt further.
"I activate the spell card Frightfur Fusion. This card let me fusion summon a Frightfur monster by banishing its materials from The Graveyard"
Kei pressed the buttons on The Duel Disk, choosing the cards.
"I banish Edge Imp Sabres and Frightfur Rabbit from The Game to fusion summon Frightfur Cruel Whale!"
Another whirlpool of Red and Purple energy emerges on the ground, sucking The Row of Scissors and The Innocent Rabbit down to the center.
"Fusion Summon!"
With a splash, a big whale plushie jumps from the center of the whirlpool, resembling the jump The Megalodon made to the boat to devour its dead kin from the movie The Meg.
"Come on... Frightfur Cruel Whale!"
A horizontal mark-like scar slowly appears on its throat, with a sound of flesh being ripped apart, the scar opens, revealing serrated teeth belonging to that of a shark and a pair of deep blood-colored lights.
Not over yet, a bunch of blades then forcefully burst opens the whale's stomach, creating a rib gate like a sick joke.

"L- lies... 3200 and 2500 attack?!", said Chumley, terrified looking at the two monster with the combined attack exceed his Life Points.
Kei squinted her eyes and her smile become more crescent-like by the second, as if she was a cat looking at the corned obese mouse, ready to mauled him.
"No... it's not over yet", Kei giggling.
She waved her hand, "Frightfur Cruel Whale's effect. I target Frightfur Cruel Whale on the field, then from my extra deck I send Frightfur Daredevil"
The Duel Disk ejects Frightfur Daredevil's card, then Kei placed it on The Graveyard zone while humming a short Nina Bobo rhymes.
"After that, Frightfur Cruel Whale that I targeted gained half the original attack of Frightfur Daredevil!"

"4700... attack?!", shouts Chumley as the fear setting in.
Chumley then stares at Kei's face, when his eyes met with her, he can't help but to gulp his own saliva.
[Ah... this girl... she's bad news]
Like realizing of what he had though, Kei covered her mouth, holding out the laughter after looking at Chumley's idiotic terrified expression.
"Battle...", sneered her.
Without any monster and Trap/Spell card to protect him, the two creepy toys begin bombarding him with an assortment of bombs they spewed out from their mouth.

Crowler lowered his head while scratching his head.
[That's right nanoné. Even with a mere 100 Life Points remaining, Signora Mavis here completely beating Signore Huffington!]
When the memory resurfaced, Crowler also remembered at that time Chumley was begging for her to stop, but with a delightful expression like a possessed human, Kei didn't say a word and continue laughing her ass off.
Crowler understand the feeling of not wanting to duel against those who are weaker than oneself, even so the practical exam is important because it's tied to one's grade and assessments.
Unlike one Slifer student who always sleep in class or outright ditched it, and didn't understand a single term about duel when asked, Kei Mavis
"Remedial...", whispers him.
"Huh?", Kei's ears moves, it is seem her ears picked up what was Crowler is whispering.
Crowler hits the table then standing up, "It's remedial! Remedial!!!"
"Listen Signora Mavis, if you don't want to fail in mei class, you must take a remedial for the practical exam!"
Said Crowler as he bring his face closer to Kei, pressing his right index finger at her forehead repeatedly like some kind of reset button.
"Cool... have anyone strong in mind?", told her calmly, even while Crowler pressing his finger against her forehead.
Crowler then held his chin, thinking about someone strong enough who can duel against and potentially can defeat her.
"Signore Truesdale?", told him.
"Kaiser or his younger brother?", asked Kei.
"Of course it's Signore Zane Truesdale! It'll be a bloodbath if I let Signore Syrus to face off against you"
The moment Kei listening to Zane's name, she let out a deep sigh.
"Pass... I don't want to duel against such a boring guy", told her nonchalantly, waving her hand.
"Actually... I've been interested in this particular person. Can you think of a way to make us duel each other? Think of it as my opponent for the remedial", asked Kei.
Crowler raises his eyebrow slightly, kinda interested in this particular person she's talking about.
"Oh... who's this person might be?"
Kei let out a crescent smile, she's then gesturing to Crowler to come closer. After Crowler bring his ear closer, she then speaks the name of that person to his ear.
"Oh Mio Dio!!!"
Crowler widened his eyes, after realized who the person she was interested.
"Signora Mavis... are you- are you sure that you want to duel against that person?", asked him, doubtful.
But Kei nods her head, "Yeah, why? Just because that person is younger than me, doesn't mean that person can't win against me"
"That is true, but..."
Kei sighs, it seems she needed another push to make Crowler agree.
"I thought you would agree, Professor Crowler, aren't those kids Yuji and Jaden manages to defeat you in a fair one on one fight? Plus, aren't THEY... MUCH... YOUNGER... than... YOU?!", sneered her.
"Gigguk!", Crowler gulped his own saliva, startled, as he remembers those humiliating memory.
Crowler then crossed his arms, then cough at least two-three times before saying.
"T- that's right nuoné, the important thing to a duelist is his or her skill, age has nothing to do with it", said Crowler holding his embarrassment.
Kei laughs looking at Crowler just outright agree to her words to hid his embarrassment.
"But will that person agree?", asked Crowler.
Kei nods, "That person will agree... but if not, you have a legitimate reason to make that person dueling me"
Crowler slowly nods.
"Well then, bu-bye", told her.
Kei having reached an agreement with the teacher, waved her hand and said goodbye.
"Wait, Signora Mavis!"
But before Kei leaves his room, Crowler wanted to ask the reason... the true reason why she wanted to duel against that person.
"Please tell mei... why do you want to duel against that person?"
Kei stops, she turned back facing Crowler, ready to answer his question.
"Well, if I have a reason then..."
With a smile full of mischief, she answered.
"I just do it for the Lolz"
