Chapter 22: Appointment with Ororo
It had been 2 days since Aegon had saved Jessica from becoming Killgrave's toy and already the girl was back to her old self. Aegon hadn't told the rest yet, but he still planned to, it's just that he had been thinking more about the girls' safety after what happened to Jessica.
He had no guarantee that he would be able to rescue them whenever they were in a bind or if he would arrive in time. So he was thinking of the ways that he could give them the methods to protect themselves. Of course, if one of them decided to leave him, it would be one less worry, but Aegon found that he liked the girls beyond their beauty and he would probably still care about them, at least a little.
After thinking for a while he found some possible ways, the first was the super soldier serum, but to obtain it he would have to wait several years for Dr. Wilfred Nagel to come up with a version of the serum that does not need vita rays.
The second option was the extremis virus, this was quite dangerous because there was a risk that the person who received it would not resist it, but for the virus to be developed there were still a few years to go as well and by then it was possible that he had learned some kaido.
The third option is the heart-shaped grass from Wakanda and in this one I had a particular interest because I knew where to find it and it has the same effect as the super soldier serum, the only problem is that I had to be careful with the reaction that I could have the goddess Bast if it exists in this universe.
Lastly, the easiest of all was a small spider he'd taken from Oscorp, they wouldn't think he was going to be anywhere near the spiders that gave Spiderman powers and he wouldn't take one, would he. The bite of the spider guaranteed the powers of Spiderman!
With the options at his hands, Aegon decided that he would give them this option after informing them of what had happened with Killgrave.
Apart from these options, Aegon also planned in the future to acquire metals such as adamantium, vibranium, uru, among others. At the same time investigate the Infinity Formula, the creation of the Sentry and Blue Marvel. In fact, he already had clones checking for Reynolds and Bernard. He wasn't going to allow any of these to exist unless he was completely sure he could eliminate them, they were too dangerous after all.
[THIRD PERSON POV]
Today was Sunday and incredible as it seemed all the girls had something to do. Aegon was watching the news which he did regularly unlike in his past life. Of all the news he had seen so far only one seemed important, it was an announcement made by Victor von Doon, a politician and businessman from the nation of Latveria.
The announcement was about the expedition to space with the purpose of studying clouds of cosmic energy that the scientist Reed Richards believed was the cause of evolution on the planet millions of years ago.
When Aegon heard the news he thought this was a good way to gain more power, which was not a bad thing. Evaluating if it was a good decision, he decided to send some clones to investigate everything related to the expedition. Having the ability to create clones was a blessing.
He was thinking of what to do for the rest of the day other than train with Yamamoto when he received a message from Ororo asking if he would like to meet her at the New York Botanical Garden. Aegon found this all a bit strange and sudden but he agreed anyway, he was curious after all.
It took him longer to get dressed than to get to the Botanical Garden, when he arrived he used the Search ability to locate Ororo and started walking towards her. He found her sitting in the shade of a tree, she was wearing a loose white dress that still couldn't hide her beautiful body and matched her hair.
"You look beautiful today." He told her as she walked closer.
[ORORO POV]
She was sitting up trying to keep my mind off all thoughts. I wanted for a moment to feel like I didn't have to worry, but I was interrupted by a voice. He knew who it was, Aegon. He was the only person she knew outside of the academy.
From the day they met they had started to get along very well and the boy did not miss the opportunity to seduce her. He hadn't been successful, but Ororo enjoyed company and could use that kind of company right now.
"Thanks, you don't look too bad either. I'm glad you came. I thought you might be busy with your girlfriends."
"I wouldn't miss this romantic meeting between us and today I have the whole day off, so I'm all yours." Aegon's answer made Ororo smile.
"And now that you smile you look more beautiful." He never misses an opportunity, but I think it's precisely her perseverance that I like about him, he thought to her.
He sat next to me, I thought he would ask me why he had invited him, but she was silent for a few seconds looking at the landscape. "It's a beautiful place, don't you think?"
"It is." She suddenly surprised me when she took my hand. "But our date won't just be here." he stood up and helped me up. "Come on it would be a shame if we don't see the whole place." I just followed him without letting go of her hand. A hand that made me feel safe.
We spent the whole morning walking in the garden and I must admit that I don't remember when was the last time I felt so relaxed, these last few months have been complicated in the academy, between studies, training, helping the teacher with the recruitment of others students to the academy and constantly preventing the Brotherhood of Mutants from further destroying the world's image of mutants leaves little time for ourselves.
Mutants, sometimes I think Aegon was right, we should have found a different word to define ourselves.
Now we meet at the Hudson Garden Grill, Aegon invited me to have lunch at this place. I've never had the chance before, it's a nice place.
"You know, you haven't asked me why I invited you today?" I asked him and immediately he answered me with that playful way that he shows sometimes. "I thought I finally accepted that you're crazy about me."
"Crazy about you. How smug." The truth is, if I like him, but it's just a physical attraction, ok, I love his company, but it's better not to mention this. "I'm seriously."
"I was not going to miss the opportunity to hang out with you, I have already told you before, I like you and I mean it. If you want to tell me the reason why you have invited me, I am all ears, otherwise I will continue to keep you company, the same goes on being a victory for me."
Ororo was silent for a few minutes, meanwhile the waitress brought their order. When they were alone she again she spoke. "Before I didn't believe you when you said you had 4 girlfriends and then I met them, I almost asked them how they accepted something like that, maybe they're just happy. Days later you introduced us to another girl, Felicia and I think everyone at the academy started to ask us if you weren't using some kind of mind control on them."
"Hey I wouldn't do something like that."
"I believe you, it also helps that Jean checked that they weren't under any mind control. Don't think wrong, it's just… don't get me wrong, you're handsome, but 5 beautiful girls agreeing to share you is hard to accept."
"Come to think of it, won't they be uncomfortable if they find out you're here with me?" I know I would be if my boyfriend was spending the day with another girl.
"Maybe, but I'm sure they'll forgive me, plus I think they already suspect that I'm interested in someone at the academy."
"Really?" I didn't expect that. "And who do you suspect?" I hope it's not me, I like girls and I don't want them to feel bad for me.
"Preferably from Rogue, but you and Jean are being targeted as well."
"Rogue? It's true that she's gotten pretty close to you, I understand why they would." The truth is Rogue wants much more than a friendship with him.
"Please everyone has figured out Rogue's intentions. I like the girl and she's lovely, but the reason she's after me is a bit forced so I want to give her time to think it over." I'm going to sink my teeth into that one of him too, was what the damned bastard really thought, but no one would ever know that.
"So you had noticed. Well I guess it was pretty obvious after all."
"Enough talking about others, today is our day. Tell me, what do you want to do now?" All this time they had already finished eating lunch.
"You said you were available all day for me, does that include your house too?" I don't know what came over me, but I want to enjoy a little bit of my freedom while it lasts and the more time I spend with him the more attracted I feel.
"Of course." He answered me seriously.
When the bill arrived, he insisted on paying and we went to his house, or rather penthouse.
Aegon found a secluded spot, opened a garage and began to explain to Ororo about this power she was unaware of.
They reached the apartment and Ororo threw himself into her arms and began to kiss him and Aegon reciprocated her actions and led her to the bedroom. When they reached the room Ororo separated from him and dropped the dress she was wearing.
