Chapter 18: Regret I
Alex entered the house and was greeted by his wife " welcome home honey, how did the meeting go," Alex did not respond and walked toward his son's room with a crazy look in his eyes, he kicked the door opened and saw his son enjoying his time while the maid was holding off her urge to cry
Chris was surprised by his father's sudden appearance, he quickly stopped what he was doing and grabbed his clothes laying on the floor
"fa-father, what are you doing here,"
"get out," Alex grumbled but could still be heard a little, the maid who heard him quickly dashed towards the door covering her body with her tattered clothes
" Chris, remember the slave girl you bullied," Alex stated with an expression suppressing his anger and panic
"yeah...wait, how do you know about that," Chris answered unconsciously
" tell me that you did a background check on her," Alex asked although he already knew the answer he hoped that it will be another girl and that she was only a slave girl but all his hopes were shattered when Chris told him that she was a former slave and was taken by some guy named Leon regard or something like that
Alex fell on his knees when he heard his son's reply, his hand holding his forehead preventing it from exploding from stress
"Father, what is it? you're scaring me," Chris asked, a little scared of his father's behavior
Alex started to laugh with his face facing the ground and his hands covering his eyes
" You.....," Alex mumbled
" huh,"
" YOU ARE SCARED!!!," Alex cries out grabbing his son in one arm and holding him by the hair with the other, leveling their eyes
One could tell that he was not sane from the look of his eyes
"WHYYY, Why were you so brave assaulting the little girl," Alex continues, at this point he was almost crying while his son just stared at him in confusion
" I have provided you with everything, EVERYTHING that you ever wished for, so why are you still causing me trouble," Alex started hitting his son in the face with his other hand still holding on to his face
Alex's wife Bella was waiting outside the room as she thought something was off with his husband, and as soon as she heard a rumbling noise from the room she slammed the door open and saw her husband with teary eyes hitting their son nonstop while Chris was trying his best to defend himself
she quickly pushed Alex making him fall from his knees then hold her crying son in her arms
"Are you out of your fucking mind!!!," Bella exclaimed
"what do you think you are doing beating your son like that,"
"SHUT UP, this is all your fault," Alex yelled back
Bella was shocked at his response as he had never yelled at her in all their years of marriage
" If you hadn't spoiled him for all these years then we wouldn't have come to this," Alex continued
Bella just sat there staring at him, words couldn't come out of her mouth as it was her first time seeing Alex in such a state
" That goddamn son of yours was such a dick that he provoked the dark lord of all people,"
" wha-what, that can't be, my son wouldn't do that," Bella exclaimed glancing at her son who was still crying in her arms
" Just ask him yourself, I don't have time for this, I need to talk to father, he may know a way to solve this," after saying that Alex rushed out of the room leaving his confused wife and crying son behind
...
And just like that, the night passed, and the next day Yuki was setting off to school accompanied by seven new transfer students
The students who were walking to the school kept glancing at the new students with a unique appearance
"You know, you can just walk beside me if you want, there is no need to walk behind me," Yuki asked the seven as they were following her at a slower pace
Thomas, the disciple of the first general and the acting leader of the seven, responded "Miss, it is only right for us to walk behind you, we were given instructions to-"
His sentence was disrupted as Itsuki, the disciple of the sixth general stridden closer to Yuki closing up their distance " then I will take up your offer," she stated turning her head once more and showing a playful expression
The other kids just silently walk beside her and were soon joined by Thomas as he later thought it made more sense to fulfill Yuki's request as she was the most important figure in their operation
And so they reached their school and went straight toward their classroom, as they walked past the classroom windows Henry saw that some of the students were looking at the door waiting for something to happen
He walked past the others and gestured for them to go at a slower pace, then he stopped in front of the door and slammed it open
At the same time, a bucket full of wet cement fell from above his head but was evaded and spilled on the floor
All seven stared at the cement thinking of what would have happened if they weren't there, and what they would pay if they let any of that happen
Then one of the bullies shouted at them " Oiii, who are you, and what the fuck you think you're doing,"
" Wait, are you her bodyguard, all of you, haha,"
then the whole class started to laugh thinking that it was useless for her to seek protection
" do you know that most of us are awakened and are called prodigies, each one of us can take on at least two normal adults without breaking a sweat, yet you hired some half-assed bodyguard," one of the bullies stated
Then one of them walked closer to Elizabeth trying to pull her to his side " well, that's fine it means more for us, hahaha," *urgh*
before he could even reach her Thomas grabbed him by the hand slamming his head down to the floor,
*crack**crack*
the next moment Thomas completely broke his left arm followed by the bully screaming in pain and crying for help
"Jacob!!! you son of a bitch you'll pay for this," one of the bullies shouted running towards Thomas, only to get his head planted on the ground
"Springdale Academy, this is what will happen if you provoke us any further, be good and stay quiet," Henry shouted
The students were now terrified to an extreme level, not from the scene in front of them but from the looks of Thomas and the other six staring at them with faint smiles as if they were toys
