Devin POV
"Please forgive her" I heard Kelly say "And why should I do such an absurd thing?" I asked "Just please, huh" She said as she took my hands and pouted cutely at me, I groaned and sighed, I can't refuse her when she's as cute as this "Just count today as your lucky day, you are retained, but when you repeat what you did today, you might not be as lucky as this" I said as I dragged Kelly out with me then their murmuring started.
*What the just happened now?
*Did the boss actually retain Sharon?
*Gosh, this is unbelievable, what Miss. Stephanie couldn't do, this girl did
*Who the heck is she? Is she his sister?
"Why did you do that?" I asked her immediately we reached the parking lot "Do what?" She asked feigning innocence "You made me do something which has never happened in history before, you made me go back on my words by retaining that lady" I replied "Well, it was simply just the right thing to do" She responded as she shrugged her shoulders "Right thing? You actually think that, that was the right thing to do?" I asked her "Yeah, I know that, that was the right thing to do even though the person behaves like an asshole, it always good to be nice to them, especially, you know" She said as she winked at me, this girl is just unbelievable "And moreover, you look cute when you get annoyed, I guess that I will always wanna get on your bad side everyday so that I can always be seeing your cute annoying face everyday" She said as she laughed and entered the car, what the heck is she doing to me, Dakar, Dakar, what the hell are the both of you making me do.
I entered the car and drove her to the restaurant that she was working before and she alighted from the car and immediately she ran and jumped in to the arms of one guy, I gripped the steering wheel in jealousy, who the heck is that guy that has the audacity to lay hands on her. I came down from the car after packing the car properly and walked in to the restaurant and she was still all mushy, mushy with him "Kelly, come here" I said, but she didn't come, when I saw her sitting on his laps and his hands were around her, I lost it totally, I stood up, walked over to them and yanked her away from his grip, she looked surprised as she stared at me "What the hell are you doing sir? She asked in a shocked tone "Well, I thought we came here to grab lunch and not for you to flirt with your lover" I replied feeling so damn jealous, both she and the guy looked at me and then at each other and burst out laughing "See, you are so funny, Tony here is my friend and not my lover" She said amidst laughter.
"Yes boss, am just her bestie and nothing more and nothing less" The guy said, I calmed down a little and said "Who cares, now can we have lunch?" I said as I took my seat "Okay, Tony, we would talk later" She said "But you still have a lot of explaining to do" The Tony guy said "Ok, my love, no problem" She said as she took her seat, did she just call him her love, I gritted my teeth together in anger as I stared at her, she looked so damn happy, am going to kill that Tony guy if this keeps going on "I have missed everybody here, that office of yours is boring, too boring for my liking, how I wish that I was still working here" She said sadly, so am boring, am going to show her how exciting that I can be "Just eat please, you talk too much" I said, just then one woman came to our table and said "Kel, why didn't you come to work today and what are you doing with this man?" She asked "Am so sorry ma, just that am now working for him. I thought that he already informed you" She said.
"Ohhh, am so sorry, Mr. Devin, I never knew that you were the one here, please don't count any offence with it, and please take very good care of my girl" She said " No problem, I will just that and even more" I replied, I opened my eyes wide in shock, I did not even know when that slipped out of my mouth "Thank you, I have to go back to my office now, enjoy your self Kel and have a nice day" She said and left, what the hell does she mean by that.
Kelly POV
Immediately he drove me to the restaurant, I hurriedly came down from the car and when I came down from the car, the first person that I saw was Tony, I screamed and jumped on him "Tony, I have missed you even though it was today that I stopped working here" I said "I was shocked when the manger assembled us all in the morning and informed us all that you have stopped working here that you were now with D'Corp, I was surprised and also at the time happy for you, and the bitches here were happy that you were gone but surprised that you could start working in that kind of huge organization and who is that guy that you came here with?" he asked "Well, he is my boss and the guy that I broke his rear mirror, the one that I told you about" I confessed , he gasped out loudly in shock and said "That rude brat that ruined my barbie's white dress?" "Yes" I responded "So, how did you end up working for him?" He asked, by this time we were already in the restaurant and he sat on the chair while I sat on his laps, well I was already used sitting with him like this.
"Tony, that's a lon...…" I was interrupted when somebody suddenly yanked me away from Tony's grip, I gasped to find my boss holding my hand what is wrong with him? And what is he trying to do? "What the hell are you doing sir?" I asked in shock "Well, I thought that we came here to grab lunch and not foe you to flirt with your lover" He responded, hold up! Don't fucking tell me that he is jealous, haa! I and Tony looked at each other then we stared at him as if he had grown eight horns on his head and busted out in uncontrollable laughter "Sir you are so funny, Tony here is my friend" I said amidst laughter and Tony testified.
He dragged me to s table and we sat, ordered and started eating, then the manager walked over to our table and said " Kel, why didn't you come to work today and what are you doing with this man?", I looked at her confused, didn't this jerk bag tell her anything about this? I thought she was aware about the whole arrangement "Am so sorry ma just that am now working for him I thought that he already informed you about this" I said in a bid to explain my self.
She immediately apologized when she saw his face saying that she did not know that he was the one and told him to take very good care of me and the idiot promised to do just that and even more, I stared at him in shock. I quickly finished my food and said "Boss, am full, we can now go back to work" He stared at me unbelievably with shock clearly written in his face "Are you for real now? After devouring the food as if there was a well stored in your belly, gosh! You can eat, and why aren't you fat nor heavy? Damn! You eat like a pig" He said, I gasped out loudly in shock, did he just open that rotten mouth of his and vomit all that to me, am so going to kill him, I stared at him with anger "Hey stop looking at me as if I have grown two horns, I know that am handsome, hot and sexy but you don't have to stare at me like that, please have some shame" That did it, I screamed and launched at him, I dragged his hair as hard as I could.
He shouted and carried me up effortlessly on his shoulders as if I weighed nothing "Hey! Let me down" He walked over to the cashier and paid and dropped a huge tip, then he walked towards the car, Tony stared at us in shock, I waved at him, he dropped me in the car and went over to the driver's seat, and drove off back to the company, I huffed in anger as I stared at him, we both refused to talk to each other throughout the drive back to the company, then he finally made an attempt to talk to me "Hey, stop puffing out like that, do you mind me telling you what you look like right now? Okay, I will gladly do that with all pleasure, you look like a bloated pig, ha ha ha" He said and laughed. We reached there and I refused to come down cause I was still annoyed at him, he sighed and picked me up and carried me and walked in to the building, "HEY, LET ME DOWN" I screamed.
