Chapter 7: - Disaster -
In a neat white room, a being of simply absurd stature sat in a lotus position, a face of pure concentration, weariness, and frustration, colored energies swirling around him like a disastrous whirlwind.

Last week I received a report from the external threat control headquarters, my gems reported that they received a strange unidentified signal from space, according to the Peridots, it was the signal came from some type of quantum sonar that uses an unknown energy and was sweeping the area looking for something, or so we think... We're in a very dangerous situation right now, for all we know it's possible that whatever is scanning this area of space is looking for us, though that's more of a guess than another stuff…
However, that doesn't take away from the fact that if we want to survive, we have to get a lot stronger, starting with me... last time i went out to check things, we already had the surface of the planet completely under our control, and had already mined at least 30% of the planet's resources, so the construction of stellar weapons of mass destruction and hyperspace ships began.
Gem production is at its peak and there are currently about 500,000,000 gems. It will seem exaggerated on my part, but I know that it is still not enough, and especially at this moment, I realize how weak we are...
Just the energy that swept through space earlier already gave us a lot of trouble and it was very dangerous, it caused great destruction in star systems close to ours, and that wasn't even a real attack method, but a simple scanner, I don't even want me imagine the types of weapons of war that the civilization we are facing will have.
I told my gems to investigate the different types of energy in this universe in order to strengthen us, since they, being created by me, have the ability to resonate with certain types of energy and absorb certain amounts to become stronger.
However, the results of the investigation were totally insane. As far as we know, although the basic laws of physics and the types of energy of this universe are similar to the original universe of which we have records due to the knowledge that I transferred to them and they came with me to this world. There are also many other types of energy completely different and that have never been seen anywhere before, as well as being very volatile and unpredictable, therefore, I am 80% sure that this is not the universe of the series…
Therefore, going back to the previous topic, I decided that the best thing to do was to become much stronger, and the fastest way to do it was to use my special ability to absorb as much energy as possible… Thanks to that, I find myself in this very difficult situation. dangerous…
The first 2 days of my training were good... and I even managed to reach a new level by being able to manipulate the energy inside me and a little bit also that of the environment, from that point, everything was going very well; but then, on the sixth day of my training I found it… An energy completely different from anything we have seen before and completely unnatural, it was so dense and powerful, but at the same time subtle enough to go easily unnoticed, and the best it is that it is everywhere, intertwined with the other energies, impregnating itself in the universe itself, that is what I think... it was so dazzling and beautiful, I felt that it was calling me...
And then… I did by far the stupidest thing I've done so far, absorb it… Who would imagine that this would be the origin of all my problems and my current situation.
As soon as I tried to manipulate a single strand of that strange energy and connect it to the power center of my gem to absorb it, it went completely out of control, and being intertwined with other types of energies, it dragged all kinds of strange energies from the surroundings to my body, creating a kind of energetic storm of which I was the center.
And not only that, thousands of countless strands of that strange energy tensed and in awe I watched as they weaved together and laced with each other inside my gem, merging and changing something fundamental within me, although not yet. I'm sure what exactly. The immense amount of energy alarmed all the gems on the planet and they even forced their way into my chambers to get me away from danger, but as soon as someone tried to approach my body, a violent storm of energy repelled them, violently attacking the intruders. .
There were a lot of gems that got puffed because of that, hundreds of them in fact. Many others simply broke. I'm not too worried about it, anyway, I left enough of my tears to repair any damage, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I feel very guilty right now for putting my precious gems in such a dangerous situation.
Anyway, I should concentrate on trying to control this energy so as not to cause any more unnecessary damage...
- 'Think, I can't just spread it and leave it as it was before, I've already tried countless times and I couldn't disperse it, it's already too intertwined with me to do it. I also can't release it by forcibly expelling it from my body, the amount of energy I would release with that method would just blow up the planet and draw a lot of attention, plus I could die and it still wouldn't work, the amount of energy I would release per minute is much less than what is entering my body right now' I thought in my mind

I had no other options, it was that or just die like a fool for trying to force things, taking the entire solar system with me in a super quantum explosion...
So, I began to weave the energies with the power of my mind in the most careful way possible, like a grandmother weaving a gigantic, endless scarf, using the strange energy from before as a base to hold it all together… If I were human, I'm sure I would. I'd be sweating profusely right now...
Once I finished arranging the energy in a more organized and coherent way, the whirlwind from before calmed down a bit, but not enough for it to stop being dangerous...
So, I just kept absorbing and processing the energy inside me. At that moment my whole body was destabilized, I was about to lose my physical form, I could only maintain myself due to my enormous out of will that I did not have before. At this moment my body looked like a giant mass of light that constantly changes shape into strange and meaningless figures, as if the slightest disturbance made me explode... and in the middle of that a small spherical gem that went almost unnoticed as its the center was devouring the terrifying amounts of energy around it like a hungry monster, giving it a cold and eerie glow.
So, another 15 hours passed, the longest of my life… by the time I finished absorbing what was left of the energy around me, I simply couldn't hold my focus any longer and my already unstable physical form simply shattered causing a thunderous explosion, leaving only a small gem of 3 cm falling from a height of about 7 meters...
- "MY DIAMNANTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!", at that moment our favorite little Peridorito appeared running into the room with big tears in his eyes and trying to catch the gem that threatened to hit the ground... Obviously with his null physical abilities and little synchronization worthy of a Peridot, the gem simply collided comically with his head making him fall to the ground on the spot, leaving the peridot with a strong dizziness due to the blow...
- "IT CAN'T BE… MY DIAMOND… WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW? WHAT IF IT DOESN'T REGENERATE?!" thought the peridot as she nervously walked from one side to another in the room with hundreds of other puffed or broken gems with the gem of her Diamond in her hands, protecting it as if it were the most precious and valuable object in the world...
- "CALM DOWN NOW, YOUR ATTITUDE DOES NOT MAKE THINGS WORSE 0X1!" shouted one of the Jaspers guarding the diamond room to the nervous peridot… - "Our Diamond will obviously regenerate, we just have to give him some time, apparently he spent a lot of his strength absorbing all that chaotic energy"

- "No buts!" Jasper corrected, "Shouldn't you be taking our Diamond to the research institute right now to have it checked for cracks or something?"
- "You're right..." replied the peridot and then left the room with the diamond in his arms and heading to the research institute of the base

However, at that moment the emergency alarms began to sound across the planet and all the nurseries and military and research bases went on high alert.
- "WHAT THE HELL, ISN'T THAT THE ENEMY ATTACK ALARM?!" shouted 0X1 dismayed...
- "IF IT IS!" replied the other peridot…
- "PUT OUR DIAMOND SAFELY IN A CONTAINMENT CHAMBER, DO NOT LET ANYONE TOUCH IT UNTIL IT REGENERATES! ¡I WILL GO SEE WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!"

The peridot ran for a couple of minutes to a portal that took him to the planet's control room...
