Chapter 20: CHAPTER-20
Inside the cab Alex switched to his visions towards the base and saw that Viper and a group of five other people were entering a small transport plane. There were twenty to thirty planes of same kind parked in the area, they entered one of the active planes and the aircraft slowly moved towards a huge opening in the walls. After the aircraft entered the opening, doors slid from the wall and closed the opening and it moved upward like an elevator while carrying the plane.
As it moved upward the surroundings lightened up and after 20 seconds, the platform exited the opening, and the plane arrived in an closed runway, which was surrounded by walls. The aircraft travelled on the runway and as it reached the end of the runway the ground became elevated and it took off from the facility.
Alex sent some Nanites to the outside of the plane to see where they were coming out from, after Nanites arrived outside the plane all he saw was, bright white sheets of ice-covered land for as far as he could see.
Alex couldn't see any kind of facility on the Ice-covered land, except for a mountaineous area filled with snow and the closing of the doors that the plane flew from. He then switched his vision to inside the cockpit and noted down the plane's coordinates -72.6904035165706, 7.006845151825694. After noting down the co-ordinates, he then checked on the Viper and the group of people and noticed that Viper was speaking to the group.
"This is a very important mission and failure means death. Direct orders from the leader. I categorize this mission under A+ rank, and that is the reason why I picked you all, it will be dangerous but the rewards are also given accordingly", Viper told the group and they all saluted in return and went silent. Alex smirked as he looked at them, then he made the Nanites enter the ears of everyone except Viper and destroy them from inside.

Just as the group sat down and were about to buckle themselves, suddenly with wretched screams and flailing bodies, everyone in the group fell down onto the deck and started to scream and writh in agony except for the Viper. Seeing them like that shocked Viper and she didn't know what had happened to make them like this, just as she was in shock, they all stopped screaming and with painful expressions on their faces their bodies stiffened, with blood flowing out of their nose and mouth. Viper looked at the people lying down and reached her shaking hand to check the pulse of a person and found him dead, then she checked every person's pulse and found that everyone was dead.
Her forehead was filled with beads of sweat, and a chilly wind passed by her body causing her spine to tingle with shock, she rapidly turned around in shock to find a gaping hole at the tail of the plane. Viper was spooked and swiftly ran towards the cockpit and found out the lifeless bodies of the pilots.
"What is happening…what the fuck is happening here!!" Viper screamed aloud in anger and shock, then she went back and found the hole was becoming larger like it was being eaten by something, she hurriedly opened the hatch to pick the parachutes, but except for the empty space there were no parachutes in them.
"Fuck, what's happening, where are the parachutes?" Viper cursed and returned to the cockpit and tried to contact the base to find that the radio transmission wasn't working. She then moved the pilot's body and sat on the seat and tried to control the plane, but the controls were stuck like they were locked, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't change the directions of the control. It was at that she knew that her end was ascertained.
Viper looked at the altitude of the plane and saw it as still raising and was at 20000 feet, she gave up trying to save herself and laid on the seat weakly with heavy winds assaulting her from the back of the plane. Nanites were devouring the plane swiftly and had already devoured half of the plane, after half of the plane got devoured it couldn't stay afloat in the air and due to weight at the front, it nosedived straight towards the ground. Viper looked at the rapidly approaching ice and closed her eyes, waiting for her death.
The plane nosedived with increasing turbulence and speed, and Viper felt like she was being pressed onto the seat and a considerable weight pushed onto her. After a couple of seconds of extreme shaking and violent sounds, the plane hit the ground with a loud bang.
BANG!!
Viper held her breath tightly expecting the blast and crushing force that will take her life away, after a few seconds of holding her breath she felt breathless and took a deep breath and suddenly stopped when she noticed she was still alive. She slowly opened her eyes and saw the plane was on the land and she was still alive and breathing.
Without even giving it a thought in an instant, she unbuckled herself and sprang away from the seat and rushed back towards the plane. She could see the ice-filled land not far away from her. She put more energy into her legs to reach to the end. She felt as if she was moving more faster than usual, just as she thought she was going to be out of the cursed plane, when her vision spun.
Thud!!
She came crashing down on to the deck loudly, as she fell she noticed it wasn't that she was moving faster, it was the metal surrounding the cabin being disappeared like someone was erasing it from existence. It was the last sight she ever saw as her eyes closed sending her into an eternal rest.
After half an hour, at the location of crash groups of armed men arrived on armed snow mobiles and skis. A person spoke into his radio contact, fully covered in camouflage clothing while carrying automated rifle.
"This was the last location shown on the radar before the plane disappeared. I want every inch of the area to be searched."
Everyone looked at their surroundings and except for ice, they couldn't see any kind of debris indicating a crash had occurred at that place. But, they could only follow orders and started to dig the ice to find any traces of the plane or any parts of it indicating that it crashed here.
