Everyone presents looked at the person in shock and stared at each other unknown as to what made that person get so excited.
"Selah what is it? Is everything alright?" asked an old man worryingly who was sitting beside Selah.
The voice of his fellow man-made Selah broke out of the emotional upheaval he was experiencing and flashed a radiant smile towards his friend and comrade in arms Jeremiah.
'"Yes Jeremiah everything is good and it can't get any better. Read this and you will know why" Selah was over the moon and spoke joyfully and shoved the file towards his friend Jeremiah.
'"Oh!! Let me see why you are so happy" Jeremiah took the file and eagerly read the two lines written on it and his reaction was even more fabulous than that of Selah.
"What the heck!!"
Jeremiah screamed in shock as his eyes widened as he stared at the file and then at the Saleh seemingly trying to confirm if what he saw was real or just a joke.'
'"What is with you two? Acting so shocked and happy just tell us what had made you so happy?" the person on the left side of Saleh spoke echoing out everyone's thoughts.'
Saleh stood up happily and spoke and spoke aloud.
"My friends the matter is of such joy and significance if you all can remember about the Guardian Angel, we funded to safeguard Sleeping Beauty. I just received information that Sleeping beauty has woken up and Guardian angel has been destroyed as to how it happened, I am also about as clueless as you are."'
'Gasp…'
'Everyone hearing that gasped aloud and started murmuring among themselves while most were happy some were not that happy at the news as they also heard that the Guardian Angel was destroyed. It was something they had to strain their pockets to get it built far away in the no man's land. But the news of the alien object sleeping beauty awakening also made them excited as it will be the first contact, they will be doing with a alien thing.'
'"Let us move to the Command theatre we will then know more about the situation" Selah said as he took the lead in walking towards his right where a secret door lead straight to the theatre.'
'After walking through the corridor for a few meters away they arrived before a big doorway which is the entrance of the command theatre normally this many people would not enter the theatre but it was a special occasion so they all about 20 members entered the Command theatre.'
'"Supreme Commander at the deck" Just as Selah entered the theatre the adjutant following him greeted aloud informing others of their presence.
'"Sir!!" Every officer stood ram rod straight and saluted towards Selah.
"At ease gentlemen."
Selah saluted back and spoke to the General standing near him. "So General Gerald Would you please fill all of us on the information about the circumstances of sleeping beauty and what has led to that." Saying that he pointed his hand towards the screen where a live feed of the base was showing on which the mountain side was crumbling on itself breaking the ice and sending shock-waves and avalanches throughout the mountain ridges and canyons.
'"Supreme Commander and respected Parliamentarian's please come with me to the meeting room there I will fill you on about everything from the start" General Gerald spoke respectfully and lead the men into the meeting room.
As they were about to follow him they all stopped in tracks and stared at screen not only them but everyone stopped what they were doing and watched in shock and horror as a section of huge mountain side came crashing down on itself like someone had broken its supports and it fell flatly on its bottom inside the hole where the base was supposed to be.
Even though no sound came everyone can visualize just how much of a shock wave that would cause and confirming to their thoughts immediately a cloud of smoke rushed out wards followed by super shock wave that rattled the inside of the mountain causing the outer side of the mountain to crack and form deep long ridges like someone has tired smash open a dried coconut shell.
The shock waves didn't stop there and travelled through the ground far and wide and wherever it passed chaos and destruction followed as the Ice-covered land couldn't withstand it and started breaking down forming long and deep gorges across the ice.
From the epi-centre of the destruction to the end a few kilometres away it felt like someone had tried smashing the land and breaking it apart as the entire area was filled with cracks that are from a few meters to hundreds of meters of long as they travelled in the ice.
Now everyone's faces were of shock and horror at what they had witnessed as their previous joy about finding the alien life nor the awakening of the Sleeping Beauty could calm their shock at the destruction they witnessed.
General Gerald was the first to recover his bearing and commanded to the officers. "Everyone back on to their posts I need a first-hand report on the magnitude of destruction and co-operate with the other agencies and deal with the occurrence of the earthquake."'
He then turned around and did a slight bow and spoke towards Selah in a lighter tone
"I am very sorry for what had occurred supreme Commander now if you would please follow me, I am sure the cause for this disaster would surprise and delight you very much."'
