Chapter 7: Temporary employee:
Dario's Pov.
Filming was ongoing. Laura was present.Actually she didn't have to be there but i heard she wanted to learn more about advertising.
It was during a break that i overheard some gossips.
"I think the vice president is great. Mrs.William made a right decision to employ him." One of the girls said.
Vice president?Who's the vice president.
"Yeah.Mr.Martin is young and capable.I heard that he was the acting president of one of the branches of The Anderson's company."
Oh yeah! He was and that guy is my dad's fucking spy.
Anyway i kept my thoughts to myself.I didn't want them to see me as a freak.The only thing i needed to do was earning Laura's trust so that I can stay in R&L.
Dan was becoming a threat.
Thirsty.
I felt the urge to drink something cold. Getting one was not a problem. The staffs were reliable.
The orange juice was doing the magic before it suddenly began tasting like a strawberry. I was sure the staffs must have accidentally mixed the tastes.I was not being paranoid...at least that is what i thought.Anyway the taste was now divine.
"Mrs William,"
One of the attendants acknowledged her presence.
Strawberry.
So that's the reason for the sudden change in the tastes.But it's not like i have tasted her.How will it feel like to taste her? My thoughts had started drifting away.And why was i suddenly feeling hot? I realized i had to control myself which proved to be hard with her next to me.That strawberry scent was not making it easier for me.I had decided to leave when I heard someone whisper, "dark eyes."
It admit it felt good knowing that my queen not immune to my charm.
How did i know?
Because that's the first thing she remembered about me.
Crazy.
I acted like i didn't hear anything and decided to continue with my escape plans.I needed to go away before they realize something was wrong with me.
Just as i was almost disappearing;
"Mr. Anderson."
Shit!
She was walking towards me.Okay I'll just hear her out.
"Thanks for your help."
I brushed her off with, "it is not a big deal. I love photography."
"Okay.I just remembered you were going to tell me something earlier before we were distracted by the whole photography issue."
She remembered.But at least now i have an answer you that.
"Oh yeah.In the morning i came to meet you because of what happened between my brother's car and Mr.William's."
"I understand.The police already said it was not your brother's fault anyway. We need to move on from that."
As we were still talking, a young lady who seemed familiar approached us.
"Joe requested for an extension to his leave. Family issues."
Yeah.She's the secretary.
Luck was on my side.
"Maybe i can fill in for him temporarily.I'm still free."
The secretary looked at Laura and nodded.
That was a golden opportunity and i couldn't let it slide.Laura gave me an appreciative look before asking the Secretary to help me with everything else I needed.
It's only temporary.But it's better than nothing.
I needed to thank Joe for this.Or maybe I could offer him a better job so that i could keep this one.
Genius.
I always knew i was one.

Laura's pov.
Dark eyes.
That didn't come out loud,did it?
I hoped so and being that nobody commented about it, i guessed it didn't.
I'm not mad at the Andersons.I don't have time for that.Our little conversation with Dark eyes ended with him becoming one of my employees...a temporary employee.
Just as i had finished giving Nora instructions, i received a text.Liz was here.I needed to leave.I really missed her.
"Laura!Laura!"
She was literally yelling while waving her hands.She has always been noisy.But i still love her. I waved back at her.I increased my pace in order to reach where she was.Hugging her felt good.I felt lighter...like someone was there to help share my burden.It was the first time i felt that way ever since Ray's death.I guessed i needed a hug from someone who understood me.
It was a long hug and i appreciated the fact that she didn't comment anything on Ray's death.She only said, "I'm not leaving town again.I'm here for you." Aaawwww!She was so sweet.
"So party tonight?"
It didn't take long for her to transform to Liz attitude. She loved partying.
"Carol said she was bringing some friends over tonight.It's gonna be fun." She added in a bubbly voice.
I missed partying and i really wanted to show up but...
"Leigh and Derrick needs me."
"I know but they can stay with Thomas tonight.The party won't take long."
I knew she just wanted to make me feel better but it was too soon to leave the children alone with someone they were not used to.I needed to be there for them. i promised to be there always.
"Not today Liz."
"I understand. You know i can't party without you,"
Pout.She always does that. "and because you can't leave the kids alone why not take the party to your place. I promise no alcohol and loud music.It'll only be like a small gathering."
That was acceptable.It was a good offer provided that i could be with my kids.
"Cool."
My evening thankfully was going to be great.Thanks to Liz. She always got my back.
