Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Caine touched his cheek, which now had a hand print and had now turned red. 'Just you wait bitch, I'll teach you a lesson.' Caine thought, letting out a smile on the outside, but inside he was cursing Stacey and he just wanted to slap her back.

"I'll be downstairs my Lady." Caine said nonchalantly as if the slap was nothing, he turned around and walked out.

Courtney's mouth was still hanging open, still surprised by Stacey's sudden outburst and slap on Caines cheek. "What was that?" Courtney asked.

Stacey took a deep breath and sat down on the bed. "He deserves that and a lot more worse!" Stacey said bitterly.

"Okay…umm why?" Courtney asked, her eyes focused on Stacey. "If it was me I would have understood, cause I really hate that guy…but you….he's your future husband."

"I don't want to marry him. Gwendolyn is threatening to harm Arthur if I don't marry that Idiot." Stacey said, monitoring her childhood friend's reaction, she continued, "I had no choice but to make Arthur sign the divorce papers. If I didn't Gwendolyn and Caine would have gotten Arthur killed," Stacey said finally letting out the tears she's been holding for a long time.

Courtney gasped in shock, as her heart instantly melted, "Gee…Stacey I'm sorry…. I didn't know something like this was happening to you Stacey, why didn't you tell me earlier, I would have done something to help?" Courtney asked, putting Stacey's head on her shoulder while comfortingly caressing her hair, "I'm so sorry dear.."

Stacey wiped her tears and looked at Courtney. She had never asked anyone for help but now she had decided to swallow her pride. "I need your help, your dad is the governor, I'm sure…."

Courtney cut Stacey off, by putting her fingers on Stacey's lips.

"Don't worry I'll talk to my dad about it….I promise sis…" Courtney said convincingly. But she was unsure if her dad would help, cause he was pretty shady himself.

Meanwhile downstairs. Caine was seated on the sofa with a sad expression, his left cheek had a red handprint.

Sitting next to him was his mom Grace and his sister Kathy. A lot of guests had already left.

"Gwendolyn this is unacceptable, your stupid granddaughter just slapped my son, I demand that you let me teach her some manner's." Grace demanded glaring at Gwendolyn.

"Mom, stop it!" Caine shouted at his mom, "You're not going to touch my future, my wife."

Mrs Gwendolyn stood up and walked up the stairs, "I'll talk to her, I'll make her apologize to you dear." Gwendolyn said confidently, but deep down she was not so confident.

'Stacey, Stacey Stacey….I'm not like your stupid soon to be ex husband, if you slap me, I'll slap you back two times,' c

Caine thought to himself, sitting back on the sofa nonchalantly.

Meanwhile outside the Roth Villa. Arthur was still standing near the main gate, apprehensively looking at his watch every five minutes. 'Well it's dark now….' Arthur's thoughts were disturbed by bright light, in no time a dozen rolls Royce pulled up next to him.

Victoria, who was standing on the terrace with her husband Lawrence, was dumbstruck to see the luxurious Rolls Royce's and the limousine outside the Villa's main gate. "Honey, who's that?" Victoria asked curiously.

Lawrence looked at her , and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know who…." Lawrence trailed, as he fixed his eyes on the logo on the Rolls-Royce's and the limousine, all had the S Logo. "Honey do you see that logo?" Lawrence asked.

"Yeah, it's the Stark logo! Lawrence, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Victoria exclaimed in joy, like a teenager

"I know Caine promised to introduce our family to Mr Stark but this is too soon!"

Both Lawrence and Victoria were thinking the Duhamels were responsible, after all part of the deal was that the Duhamels will use their relationship with the Stark's to help the Roth family become a top 10 or top 5 family in Angeles city.

"What are those worthless guards waiting for? Shouldn't they open the door for the Rolls-Royce to drive in?" Victoria said impatiently, and also feeling mad at the security.

"Calm down honey, there also might be another reason those Stark car's are here." Lawrence said worrisomely.

"You're Thinking there might be a possibility someone from the family offended someone who they shouldn't offend?" Victoria asked with a perplexed look.

Immediately after saying that, both her and Lawrence were startled as they saw a familiar figure nonchalantly walk to a limousine and get in. "Is that, Arthur?" Victoria asked in shock, her and Lawrence looked at each for a second.

"Nah!" They both said in unison. How could a useless poor man be affiliated with the Stark's?

"Took you long enough!" Arthur said agitatedly, getting inside the limousine.

"Jared…." Arthur stopped his sentence midway as he was startled to see who was inside the limousine. He was expecting to see Jared inside the limousine, but to his surprise it was not Jared sitting in the limousine. Instead it was a beautiful redhead. She was dressed in a black short dress that exposed her beautiful thighs.

"I'm sorry for being late Mr Stark, but we drove here as fast as the Rolls Royce could go." The redhead said, looking at Arthur with a beautiful smile. 'Wow his clothes are bloody.' the redhead thought, maintaining her smiley face.

The car started moving.

"Umm it's alright…." Arthur said feeling nervous, cause he just yelled at this beautiful girl, now she's going to think he's an asshole. "Jared sent you?" Arthur asked, stealing a glance at her perfect thighs.

God She was hot!

Noticing Arthur's glances on her thighs, the redhead blushed, after all he was still cute even though his clothes were bloody and shabby, "Are you alright master Stark?"

"Yeah I'm alright." Arthur nodded nervously. Looking out of the window. But he couldn't help but still a few more glances at her.

"By the way I'm Dawn," The redhead said, nonchalantly, pouring wine onto a glass. "Wine Mr Stark?"

Arthur stretched out his arm and took the glass of wine, "Thanks….you can call me Arthur." Arthur said with a smile, hesitantly taking a sip of the wine.

Living in the Roths Villa, wine was something he never tasted. He was married to Stacey when he was 18, so there were a lot of things he never experienced.

"You're not much of a drinker are you?" Dawn asked, blushing.

"Nope…" Arthur replied, slightly smiling. "You might not believe me, but this is my first time drinking," Arthur said, making eye contact with dawn.

"I see." Dawn replied, not believing Arthur. A cute guy like him definitely looks like a drinker, a Playboy, and a….

"Did Jared have to send so many cars to pick me up?" Arthur asked, interrupting Dawn's thoughts.

"No Master Christian Stark sent us to pick you up." Dawn said casually.

"Grandfather is back? Are you his secretary?" Arthur asked with a serious expression on his face. His grandfather was one of the reasons he stayed away from the stark wealthy.

"Well from now on, I've been appointed as your secretary by your grandfather, Mr Stark?" Dawn said with a smile.

Arthur flashed a brief smile at Dawn, and looked through the window. Now he was having second thoughts about going back home. His grandfather was someone he wanted nothing to do with, because he was the reason his parents died. But he had no choice but to go back, since he was the only heir of the Stark consortium, his dad would want him to inherit it.
