Chapter 4: Mt Justice

"Okay, this is most awesome day," Markos said excitedly, with his Russian accent he looked like an adorable excited giant husky. Batman just looked at him like he was looking at a scrub. The reason being this was the first time he had ever gone through a teleportation machine! He looked at the giant tube and wondered just how it worked.

"This is a zeta Tube. It uses Zeta rays to transport materials both organic and inorganic to another zeta tube," Batman told him the simplified version.

"Zeta tube, huh? Zdohruhvuh!" Markos exclaimed, not even realizing he just spoke a Russian word, a language he could swear on his life he could not speak a single word before. Just then, a red colored robot riding a red Tornado glided over from a hatch above them. Markos could feel its gaze on him but he didn't mind it. Why? This was also the first time meeting a robot, let alone such a highly intelligent robot. It even had powers!

"Batman, who's your new friend?" Red Tornado asked when he landed.

"This is Piotr Rasputin, a person of interest to the Justice League. He has agreed to stay here in Mt Justice until the League finds out more about him," Batman answered. Red Tornado turned his metallic towards him.

"Welcome to Mt Justice, current base for a Justice League associated team," Red Tornado said amiably and stretched his hand out to him for a handshake. Markos was still reeling in shock at such an intelligent artificial intelligence.

"Markos has lost his memories and thus this might be a shock to him seeing an artificial intelligence like yourself," Batman explained to the mentally frowning Red Tornado. "Where's the team?"

"They decided to take a team exercise and headed to Happy Harbor,"

"Hmm, I will stay till they return in order to introduce their new cavemate," Batman said and just then, Markos finally got his voice.

"This is artificial intelligence, yes?" he asked Batman who nodded. "Most fascinating. You should have brought me earlier, there is so much fascination in here." He then looked around and realized everything looked so futuristic.

"I might be happy been imprisoned here," he said, a wide smile on his face as he walked around.

"I will show him around, make sure he is not lost," Red Tornado told Batman who nodded. Red Tornado went towards Markos. "If you are to live here then you will need to know your way around. Since the others are out, I will take you around."

"Spasibo, robot," Markos said and followed Red Tornado.

"Okay, this is the kitchen," Red Tornado said leading him inside the sophisticated kitchen. Markos looked around in wonder.

"Zdohruhvuh," Markos exclaimed, walking around the spacious kitchen. He checked each drawers, memorizing what were in them before going to the giant refrigerator. "Whoa, you can fit whole elephant in."

"We have speedsters in here and they eat as much as their bodies can turn into calories, which is a lot," Red Tornado answered. Markos nodded absent mindedly before pulling out a full chicken.

"Then I should stuff myself before speedster comes, no?" he said as he started eating immediately. If Red Tornado would show emotions then he would show a flabbergasted look for the shamelessness of this guest. He then signalled for Markos to follow him.

"This is the gym of the base. Because it was the base of the Justice League previously, the gym has some of the best equipments around," Red Tornado said and was going to explain about the different equipments when Markos walked passed him, chewing the last bit of the chicken. Red Tornado could even hear him crushing bones.

"You have weights reaching sixty tonnes? Nyet, are those five hundred tonnes weight plates? How is mountain still not destroyed with these weights?" he asked out loud.

"Zatarra Zatanna our residential magician had out a spell on the mountain to bear all these weights. Together with Kryptonian technology, we have the most stable base here," Red Tornado explained. Markos turned into his metallic form before picking two five hundred tonnes plates.

"This is second favorite room," he said as he lifted them up and down with one hand.

"Okay, moving on," Red Tornado said, afraid Markos might stay here for a bit longer. Markos followed him, still lifting the plates with his left hand. They walked for a bit before getting into an underground water cave.

"This serves as the base's harbor. It is mostly for Atlantis ships to dock but the League have a submarine which they used to dock here," Red Tornado explained. Even with the metallic face, Red Tornado could tell almost immediately that Markos was bored of this place. So, he did not linger before taking him to the residential rooms.

"This is where the team lives, for those who will be living in the mountain. As for you, you are welcome to one of the empty rooms," Red Tornado said before pointing at a room specifically. Markos knew the room might have surveillance but he didn't care. As long as he could live in here and pump iron all day, he would endure it. There was no best place like this one where he could grow strong.

"This is the hanger," Red Tornado said, not using too many words because he was sure Markos would be bored anyway and he was right. "That is the entire base, you can feel at home."

"I will," Markos said before going straight to the kitchen. In his previous life, he could only eat conservatively due to being poor. But now, his appetite had grown and there was a whole fridge filled with goodies.

He did not hesitate and brought out all the good things inside the fridge. Steak, eggs, vegetables, fruits and other things. He boiled ten eggs together with the steak as he enjoyed the ice cream which felt nice as it slid down his metallic throat. When the eggs and steak was ready, he devoured them all with large bites. He was so busy stuffing himself he did not see or hear the supposed team when they returned, talked to Batman then came to the kitchen only to see him devouring the last of their food.

"Piotr," Batman called out, making him turn around with a mouthful of lettuce. With a struggle, she swallowed the lettuce before putting down the head down. His eyes were however attracted to the stunned Robin.

"Oh, Batman junior. Nice to meet you again," he said, making Robin embarrassed, Kid Flash in stiffles, Superboy frowning while looking at his muscles, Aqualad in wonder about him and Miss Martian having a heartache at the mess he had made in the kitchen. "Oh, wow, you have green girl in team? And a boy with fins! Wait, why does boy with angry face look like he wants to fight me? And why does yellow spandex boy's face look so punchable?"
