~Third POV~
Elsewhere in Menagerie the homeland of the Faunus, a figure dressed in an undercoat hides her identity as she looks at the Faunus enjoying their everyday life.
The person soon reveals themselves to be Blake as the light of the sun began to cast down on her as she gets emotional seeing her home island, "Menagerie… I'm finally home. Shame it's not at the best of circumstances."
Flashes of Blake's family fighting with her soon enter her head as she frowns recalling it shaming herself, "Sigh… I was so dumb… why did I ever leave my parents on a bad note… Right… for my love for Adam that drove me away."
Blake could only blame herself for the outcome of what happened before she began to hear rumors going around the place as she finds a place to stay here for her time in Menagerie in peace.
"—did you hear the rumors?"
"Yeah, something about kidnapping happening?"
"What? No about some Ghost rumor?"
"Ghost? Your crazy man where did you hear that."
"Didn't you hear someone saw it in one of the abandoned Zodiac shrines? I think?"
"You think! Ha! I bet it's made up."
"Ghost that comes around the islands?"
"—Yeah crazy right?"
"Some say it's at the shrine of the maiden is next?"
"Yeah, the chieftain says he'll investigate it at Indigo Waterfalls –"
That was as much when Blake stopped listening to the rumors going around Menagerie at the moment.
Blake hearing the news took an interest in this rumor as she began to mumble to herself in a curious tone, "Hmm… Maybe I can use this time to investigate this manner myself. I better see this ghost for myself and see if she isn't a threat to the peaceful Faunus on this island. Sounds like something I would like to do."
Smiling at the idea of having her own goals she began to search for info regarding the info…

Returning to the real world after some training inside Jack's own <Image Training> Jack managed to fight some more opponents and as well as earned a few levels while his clone manages the ride.
Stopping by on a nearby uninhabitable island with no Grimm life Jack and Koromaru began to set up camp while Jack smiles at the sight readying the food.
While he does so he makes sure to increase Koromaru's stats as he was still within his own party making sure to keep him alive by putting some stats into him.
A blue screen soon appeared while Jack began to make adjustments to the points distributed to Koromaru with the more likely hood of surviving.

A shining golden hue of light surrounded Koromaru while Jack observes his sleeping dog whimpering a bit before calmly going to sleep close by Jack's side while he observes the broken fragmented sky, "Whew… welp. We are very close to having a private home Koromaru. And when the time comes, we will have a home of our own soon enough."
While talking to himself Jack merely mumbles to himself while his <Shadow Clones> to defend the area while wrapping himself in blankets mumbling to himself, "Yeah… a home to call my very own… Zzzz…"
Sleeping under the night sky Jack soon fell asleep…

Ah man yesterday was certainly great sleep.
"Woof!"
Glancing my eyes to Koro I began to pet him with my open hand while my clone drove, to the seat making sure we make it to Merlot Island with excitement in my voice, "I can't wait. A home to call my own after I take out that crazy doctor."
*Static*
That was when my attention went towards the static on the radio when one of my clones began to turn it up while we hear an old man's voice coming out from it, "Beep! Beep! Ahh, that's better. Sorry, but the reception is always so bad all the way out here. I hope you're enjoying the destination on my island. You're the first visitors I've had in, well… you are the first to come that is."
Immediately my eyes widen seeing the island dead ahead of us just when the radio voice belonging to Merlot spoke to us.
The island is situated somewhere in an uncharted location and featured a large laboratory complex.
The island also has multiple radio towers, allowing those on the island to connect to the CCT. The island has many metal fences. The island also has big wooden stakes planted into the ground. The outside of the island also has a dock as well as many crates and barrels.
Wonder who's the buyer for him to get that many, materials needed?
The island was populated by Grimm, Merlot's mutant Grimm, and his security robots. The island naturally produced a mysterious radioactive substance that Merlot used for his mutating serum.
Many of these toxic pools have pipes that collected the ooze and sent it to the laboratory complex. The terrain of the island is mainly sandy with the plant life being similar to that which was found in deserts.
That was when I was out of my thoughts when I heard Merlot talk to me through the radio speaker to me, "Oh where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself. My name's Dr. Merlot. You don't know me, but I can take a good guess as to who you are. Perhaps a Huntsman after me or a thief after my hard work? Hmm…?"
Listening to his voice I hold the urge to grit my teeth hearing this bastard but soon calmed down since that wasn't the goal, but I replied all the same, "Nope. A huntsman-in-training. Beacon Student if you want to be specific really. I happen to know quite a lot about you doctor. After all, you were one of the causes, of Mt. Glenn failing because of your experiments."
Silence soon held the room before Merlot began to question me about it more on the curious side, "Oh ho! I must admit I never expected to see anyone figure that out. You seem too young to be a revenge seeker. Although…"
The next thing I hear is Merlot speaking to me with a hint of excitement in his voice towards my direction, "Nevertheless, I'm thrilled you're here. You might be exactly what I need for a very important… experiment. For such a terrific Beacon student such as yourself, this should be an easy test, right?"
Raising my eyebrow at this I see a launch pad rising up at the harbor on the island while my Koro growls at the doctor while I smirk to take on the challenge, "Ok then doc. How about one student and hunter pet against an island controlled by a mad scientist? I say we have good odds of winning."
Hearing a burst of laughter from the other end of the radio speakers with Merlot taking it with an actual challenge, "Hahaha! Well then boy I do hope you and your little dog can provide me with great data! Now then I left the launch pad on to the harbor just for you. I prefer to watch you squirm a bit for my Mutant Grimm."
*Thud*
Finally, it was time.

My Bullhead landed down on the harbor launch pad with Koro at my by my side with my clones leaving out of the Bullhead while I used <Deep Pockets> to hide my Bullhead inside my inventory.
While I step out, I began to observe the area all over around me while this place looks normal but with me using the <Observe> skill I can see the Mutant Grimm around these parts of the Vale variant of them are all over the place.
"Grrr…"
Hearing Koro growl it was time for us to get to work while hearing Merlot's voice through the speakers near the harbor, "Welcome to my island test subjects! I hope you provide me with a challenge for my cute little Grimm!"
Tch.
Clicking my tongue, I began to use <Observe> to see numerous names pop up out of nowhere while is see the Mutant Grimm popping out growling at me and Koro.
The first to show up is Mutant Bewolves coming towards me.
This Beowolf variant is massively different from its normal and Alpha brethren: it's significantly larger, wider, and more intimidating than a normal Beowolf, and is far more threatening in groups than an Alpha Beowolf.
It's hulking from hunches, breathing heavily and abnormally for a Grimm. Glowing green spikes jut out of its back and arms, and neon green stripes can be found all over its body. Its white skull is the most armored part of its body, with its eyes blue/green, instead of the usual red/orange.
"Growl…."
The Mutant Bewolves are growling at me and Koro readied my weapon's Red Riot and Destiny's Ward in my hand and so did all of my clones cracking my neck and seeing all the Grimm in the area.
Taking my attention towards the wave of Grimm coming at us some of my clones began to go the water sea and made contact creating water constructs thanks to <Water Attraction> skill while more are being formed.
Smirking at this I found where Merlot is hiding while I hold Koro on my back catching him off guard when taking care of this hard and fast, "Ok Koro. Stay by my side no matter what. And activate your semblance when we get inside ok?"
Koro tilted his head but not before nodding his head and barking in agreement with my words along with a nod.
"Woof…?"

*Fwoosh*
Using <Petal Burst> to the harbor controls terminal it was time for me to work my magic. With Koro holding on I began to rush towards the nearby terminal and used <Mechanical King> to immediately get the whole entire network.
My eyes widen in surprise I smirked at this while I heard my clones begin to battle against the Mutant Grimm.
Something I'm going to need to do to clear out in the near future.
<Technopathy> I began to locate where Merlot is located and denied any of his control for his machines and immediately found the servers controlling his robots and video footage of him and his lab.
The many walls in the complex were covered with pipes, cameras, and computer screens. Most of the floor tiles were hexagon shaped, with some having holes containing spikes to impale intruders.
And Dr. Merlot is an elderly man with disheveled gray hair, a matching mustache and beard, and prominent eyebrows. His left eye is robotic and glows red and around it was noticeable claw marks, likely from his Grimm experiments.
His right arm was also robotic dark and metallic and has red inner circuits. He wears a light gray jacket with a high collar and a red shirt underneath. On each sleeve of the jacket is a dark gray hexagon shape.
Now then, time to clean out Merlot's forces by hijacking his very own robots that are with him.
*Zzzz*
Controlling the robots of his I began to smirk at this while his expression was surprised as I locked him out of his technology and his research while looking at his final words, "Hmm… Ah! No, I created you, worthless pieces of metal how dare – wait nononono! You are a student of Beacon don't you – ACK!"
Soon enough I have control of his robots and I began to take control of this island. And seeing through the security camera servers I began to command the Merlot Robots to kill that piece of shit by tearing him apart by hand.
Cruel and unneeded but…
After seeing how he toys with someone's life like that in the files back at Merlot Industry Building Facility he has this coming…
And hopefully, those that died by his hand will be glad to see his end won't be swift.
The last thing Merlot should've done is allowed me to enter this place freely with my <Technopathy> and <Mechanical King> giving me all the keys I need to hijack everything I need to do.
Not like he could have known this was the only way this would turn out this way.
Merlot Industries used robots as its security force. Doctor Merlot used these robots as he continued experimenting on Grimm on his island.
Two types of robots have been seen, red ones wielding a bladed staff and white ones wielding a chaingun. Both androids appear to utilize hard light dust, allowing them to take the punishment that not even the most modern Atlesian Knights can endure.
These robots are used as enemies in the video game RWBY: Grimm Eclipse. After Merlot activated the self-destruct mechanism for his personal Island, all of these robots were likely destroyed with it.
Now then it's time to clean the house.

But turning around to see some Mutant Grimm coming around I turned off my screen for the time being.
I can collect my rewards later but now I have to clean the house of these lousy Grimm tenants…

Rushing towards them joining the battle with my controlled robots and my dog I yelled out having some fun, "Hippity Hoppity get out of my fucking property!"
Time to clean out the pest.
