~Third POV~
Training to be a Huntress at Beacon Academy was everything Yang and Ruby ever wanted they first accepted to be in Beacon Academy.
Even with all the weird conspiracies and spooky power struggles they face – even with ancient myths and rumors of war Beacon Academy is the place where the both of them belong.
Returning home to Patch Ruby and Yang finally appeared home they both yelled at their dad, "DAD!"
Tai seeing them with a smile yelled back at them at the same time, "YANG! RUBY!"
"Arf! Arf!"
"Arf! Arf!"
Hearing the sounds of their dogs Zwei returning getting some fresh air returning to him but Tai smirked seeing this leading to one conclusion for them during their semester break…
Homestead work.
*BAM*
Slamming on the ground Yang began to be slamming out the carrots with a smile on her face and talked to her sister helping her, "When I said I wanted to work on my tan I didn't mean Farmer's Work!"
*Woosh*
Swinging her Crescent Rose around and swiping out the potatoes Tai yelled at them while helping out his girls, "Oh, girls don't worry about making up for lost time! I've had help since you've been away – Since Jack was out, I managed to get our new helper for our farm. Meet Clark has been just super."
Just as Tai mentions Clark's name there comes a young man with short wavy black hair and blue eyes. He wears a black crew neck t-shirt under a golden 'S' shield emblem. He also sports a short-sleeved blue jacket with yellow cuffs and red trimming and lining as well as a pair of blue jeans and brown calf-high boots. Finishing the outfit off with a pair of black fingerless gloves.
Seeing Clark Yang was the first to greet him with a smile on her face while giving Clark a handshake, "Ahhhh, the real reason Dad hasn't been up to his eyeballs in corncobs and squash by now!"
Ruby glances at Clark as she began to greet him and thanks him for helping her father out, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Clark! So sorry you've been stuck doing our chores since we've been off training at Beacon –"
Before Ruby could continue any further Clark stops her from being respectful talking to her, "Shucks, think nothing of it! Takes all sorts to make a world, and we need Huntresses to help keep those monstrous Grimm from overrunning the villages."
Clark hands Ruby over a sunflower Yang smirks seeing the chance to tease Ruby by getting a small rise or joke around, "Maybe after the workday's done, Ruby can show you some of her best moves later, eh? Eh?"
Ruby turns her head over to Yang being innocent about her words flying over her head she replied back defensively, "Yang! Don't embarrass our poor guest! And my moves are extremely cool, and we don't want to hurt his feelings!"
Clark doesn't mind as he begins to be playful with them talking about his Semblance with a smile on his face, "I don't see why not! I tucker out pretty fast after sundown, on account of my Semblance."
Getting interested Ruby was next to ask in her curiosity about Clark's semblance while they all do the chore work with Tai helping as well in the progress, "Oh, what's your special ability, Clark?"
While helping to chop down trees Clark responded to Ruby's question about what his Semblance does, "Well, hah… as long as I'm in the light of the sun whatever Dust can do, I can do better."
<Sun Empowerment>.
<Sun Empowerment> is Clark's Semblance it gives him super strength, speed, heat vision, and flight. His Semblance can only work from the light of the yellow sun meaning that during the night time he can't use his Semblance and according to his knowledge he can't store the sunlight up to use his Semblance during the nighttime.
Next, they start to clear out the sunflowers on their fields Yang asks the next question to him, "Dust is just fuel though, right? It's what powers all machines on Remnant?"
Nearing the end of the day everyone began to clean up creating a small campsite to cook their lunches for the day with Clark explaining further, "Yup! Dust can fuel a tractor, but I can outrun a tractor and haul just as much as one, too. Dust can keep a house warm, and I can make my own heat."
*Pew*
Proving a point Clark used his semblance called <Sun Empowerment> to manipulate the Fire Dust properties to create optic heat beams at the sticks igniting fire making Ruby surprised seeing it, "Clark that's – Amazing! You have multiple abilities like our friend Jack!"
All of them sat down while Tai went away to put away his tractor and axes while Yang began eating the fish, they caught talking to them, "Man, Blake would've loved these fishes. So, your semblance only works in the daytime? That's a mighty specific superpower. We can't charge you up like a solar panel then. So, you run all night long?"
*Chomp*
Clark taking a bite of the freshly cooked fish replied to Yang's question with a bemused smile on his face, "Not to my knowledge. But who knows really? In the world of Remnant… wonder never ceases."
Like that they all began to clean up taking all the excess wood, sunflowers, and vegetables to Tai's truck while he told his girls he would be gone for a few hours, "Gotta get this down to the village on the coastal coast! There was a Grimm attack a few weeks ago and any help is welcome."
*Brrr*
Turning on his truck as Tai left, he also gave his girls some final words while driving off, "See you, girls, in a few hours! Yang don't burn the house down, at least until I'm on the way back!"
Like that Tai left leaving Clark, Ruby, and Yang alone for a while as they began to be left alone with their own business.
Yang was the first to talk to Clark suggesting helping search for some berries and making him stop washing his face with fresh water, "Hey, Clark, wanna go for a walk in the woods? We're gonna gather bramble berries, I'm makin' cobbler for dessert!"
Clark collected a nearby axe arming himself with the two huntress-in-training with a smile on his face while talking to them, "Sounds great! And Ruby, maybe you can show me some of those moves?"
Ruby merely giggles at this suggesting to agree but unaware of the dangers they would encounter soon enough from this friendly gathering.
Entering inside the deep forest in Patch Ruby began to question Clark why he hasn't joined Huntsman Academy with curiosity filling her voice, "Clark I don't understand how you're not already enrolled at Beacon Academy. Or any academy for that matter. Are you not old enough? Or do you not want to be a Huntsman?"
Clark replied to Ruby in a respectful manner to her with Yang searching for the bramble berries, "Oh, no, I'm 16 but I, er… well, I'm not sure Beacon would have me."
Getting curious about it Ruby asked wondering why someone like Clark hasn't joined, "Oh? Were you born somewhere else?"
Clark replied to Ruby while looking at the animals living in the forest helping the search in the process, "Well… I'm… not from here. And the other than around folks I trust, like your dad, I try not to let my semblance be known."
Yang turns around confused as she replied to Clark's answer Ruby with a bemused look on her face, "Wait really? You do know that Semblances are part of ourselves it's not unusual to express yourself. You have a reason why you don't show your Clark?"
Clark thinks for a bit before he finally replied to Yang's question relenting in how it became for him to reveal his Semblance, "Not too long ago I went through something… daunting. My semblance warped boosted my aura and became as powerful as it is today. It scares people, even good people. And folks can get a bit… nasty… to someone who they don't think fits in. And I'm… not sure where I really belong…"
Just as Clark continues to explain Ruby soon comes close to one of the bushes getting some berries but something else catches her attention, "Vale, Vacuo, Mistral, and Atlas… they've been at each other's throats a long time. I'm sure one of them would love to get their hands on 'The boy with the power of dust.' A farmhand on patch better mind his business if he doesn't want his origins called into question – something even worse could befall him."
"HWAARGH!"
Suddenly catching their attention Yang turned around to see the Grimm and Clark soon viewed the Grimm holding his axe as he eyes suddenly began to turn neon as if hypnotized by Yang talking to him while Ruby fights off the new Grimm with her Crescent Rose, "Its okay Clark! Watch carefully farm boy, 'cause I didn't say Ruby had the best of moves just out of loyalty to my sister…"
*Cling*
*BAM*
While Yang was fighting off the Grimm with her fist forcing them away Ruby blocked an axe strike from Clark while giving her notice of his actions, "Clark! Yang, he's been – I don't know hypnotized by that neon Grimm!"
*BAM*
Cracking a skull from the neon Grimm Yang comments on this while Ruby attacks Clark heading straight towards Yang's direction, "You showed us your semblance farm boy. Now it's time you see ours. Ruby stop being a lady and sock him for his own good!"
"On it!"
*BAM*
*Woosh*
"Whoooo!"
Following Yang's instruction, Ruby attacked Clark sending him towards Yang as they crashed and allowed Yang to activate her semblance explaining and apologizing to Clark, "I'm really sorry, Clark, but in addition to the cobbler, I make one heck of a hangover cure. Watch close farm boy – my semblance is called <Burn>. Its equivalent strength I absorb what they hit me with… and pay it back – WITH INTEREST!"
*Brrr*
*BAM*
Launching an uppercut sending Clark flying the two sisters began to attack the neon Grimm avoiding the eyes while Clark manages to break free from being hypnotized able to see what was going on before he realizes what he was doing thinking to himself, 'Wait a darn second… I'm flying! Maybe I can help these ladies out with the Grimm with my heat vision.'
*PEW*
Manipulating the Fire Dust properties Clark began to use his Semblance <Sun Empowerment> to create optic heat beams from his eyes as the Grimm easily burn up seeing the Grimm particles fly off in the distance.
The two sisters stop with Yang questioning what happened while finally realizing where Clark was, "I uh… didn't think I hit them that hard? Clark? Clark ya up there?!"
Before Ruby could question more they both heard Clark's voice as he floats down with the sun behind as if descending, "Oooh, do I have a headache… why are y'all looking like that? Is there anything, er… wrong?"
Ruby was the first to speak to Clark questioning how powerful his semblance is in a shocked tone, "I think you might've downplayed that semblance of yours, maybe a teeny–ting bit… there…"
Yang covering her eyes began to question with a playful smile on her face to him questioning where he was from, "Where did you reckon you were from again? Or do you have amnesia but with a powerful semblance?"

Elsewhere on the beach of the Mistral Kingdom of Argus relaxing on patrol Pyrrha glances at the sea with a sigh on her face talking to herself, "Sigh… Still back home and I'm taking the time to relax on a mission. I wonder if I should take a moment of a break after this mission with my mother?"
Upon hearing Pyrrha's voice the Huntress with neon-colored eyes smiles happily at her, "Sure… as soon as we get by the reports happening here…."
Pyrrha shrugs her shoulders at this with the Huntress leading her towards the beach area letting Pyrrha go towards asking her to block the attack, "Are you sure this – what are you doing!"
*CLANG*
Blocking with her shield against a veteran Huntress's attack with neon eyes Pyrrha backed behind the water unaware that multiple eyes glowed neon color underneath. Pyrrha's attention at the Huntress attacking her, "What has gotten into you! Why are you trying to attack me in broad daylight – AH!"
*Swoosh*
Before Pyrrha could respond or act she was suddenly dragged to the sea by multiple hands grabbing her by her feet forcing her to enter the water and struggling to get out…
*Splash*
Before Pyrrha could respond or act sea creatures and water Faunus soon dragged Pyrrha down to the sea with multiple one-eye starfishes that began to pounce in Pyrrha's direction before she suddenly stops struggling altogether…
