Chapter 161: Chapter 161: Moving Forward
Hey, guys thank you for reading all this way to this point of the story but I have some things to say today.
First I'm taking a small break for this remaining week to relax for myself along with writing more time for my Fic along with having some time writing others just so that I don't over stress myself.

Chapter 161: Moving Forward
~Third POV~
With everything with the White Fang Vale branch dealt with Team RWBY and Team JNPR handling them up above tied up and Winter overseeing the group.
Qrow goes over to Glynda seeing how they managed to take care of the White Fang grunts captured seeing a view of Atlas ships coming as he took a swig getting Glynda's attention, "Ah. Thanks for the drink they say. Sigh… any signs of Neo, Roman, and Hazel?"
Glynda sighs in defeat as she responds frowning at the scene they are seeing, "Sigh… no. It seems like they managed to escape. Roman and Neo will take some time for them to resurface but… Hazel Rainheart on the other hand…"
Qrow frowns in agreement taking out two copies of the <Eye of Grimm> that Jack gave to him recalling the info he got from Jack, "Heh. Yeah… Hazel works for the Queen alright. I can literally sense the magic of this. The ability to boost a person's personal strength by 3 – 5 times their own power huh? Oz is not going to like this."
Glynda agreed with a nod while looking at them with one hand as Qrow continues to explain, "At the very least we got to know another member of Salem circle at least. That's a plus and thwarting her plans using the train to make a hole in the wall of the Vale Kingdom. Also, we might have to deal with more forces of hers with Oz making a new plan to deal with her."
Glynda could nod glancing at the first years with some concern on her part responding to Qrow in a sad tone, "True. Even though Ozpin wanted them to experience what's it like to be a Huntsman and Huntresses despite it not being the end of the year for them to handle an extermination mission."
Qrow for his part nods in agreement at Glynda's words glancing at the conflicted expressions on their faces with Jack seemingly trying to calm them down as he finally spoke, "Yeah… but they do need to learn the hard way. Because there is no easy way of doing this. But…"
He soon smiles lightly with him witnessing Jack calming his teammates together and responding to them that their failures will only serve to motivate them to never do it again.
To never make the same mistake and learn from it to never feel as depressed as they are now to better themselves to be the best they can be.
Qrow sees some small smiles on their faces thinking of the choices they made he notices Jack's mood around his friends, "That kid… he certainly knows how to create just the right mood bring everyone their spirits up. He tries to help their own insecurities of their actions today and use them as a means to motivate them to be better."
Glynda glances at them with a small smile on her face before lightly chuckling a bit catching Qrow by surprise, "Haha… he certainly makes that kind of atmosphere around others. He seems like a beacon to those in need and almost makes me want to spare of him from becoming a living target practice with Amber."
Qrow raised an eyebrow at that last remark before Glynda confide what happened with Jack playing a prank on Amber with wide eyes as he spoke out impressed, "Whoa… the kid managed to fool Amber and get you angry too boot. I have to say I'm impressed even… if only it wasn't for the fact, I could concur with your wrath. I'll be sure to see his funeral."
At that, the two laughed lightly at their sense of humor.
However, Qrow made sure to keep his eyes on Jack while he frowns inside his mind as he began to think to himself, 'Still… even though I felt magic coming off from the pendant I still some coming from the kid himself. At first, I thought it was my imagination but… when he killed the criminal and sometime soon pass, I felt it. I felt magic coursing through him even if it was for the briefest of moments.'
Glynda began to reply to Qrow wondering something in her head as she spoke out, "Qrow… I would think you would chase after Hazel and you let him go?"
Pushing her glasses up Qrow sighs at this when he responds back in a defeated tone, "Sigh… not as I could. The guy somehow teleported away. It was magic but he was no maiden, but I did see him use an artifact before he blinked out. Couldn't chase after him if he teleported again."
Glynda nods in understanding cursing under her breath, "Sigh… I'm really starting to hate magic."
Qrow chuckles at Glynda's reaction to that since he has the magic to transform into a crow.
Qrow planned on giving the info to Ozpin about what he encountered today.

Outside the area of Mt. Glenn at one of the buildings away from everyone was Raven returning to her normal form shaking like a leaf feeling incredible fear when she first felt the pressure of her soul.
Raven managed to retain her senses again glazing below in the distance with a hint of fear in her eyes recalling Jack <Spiritual Pressure>, "What the hell is he?"
Raven saw the fight of the White Fang members against Jack and how fast he ended the leader of the Vale White Fang branch too fast for anyone to notice but for some veteran Hunstman and Huntresses to see but react was a different story.
However, another thing became present inside Raven's mind recalling how when Jack got stronger, she scowled at him feeling a familiar sensation in her, "And how the hell does he have magic? It's faint. But I can easily recognize it even if it's for the briefest moments."
What Raven got observing their missions is more questions regarding Jack Nights while she soon opens up a portal back to her home base.

The red portal soon appeared thanks to her Semblance <Kindred Link> allows her to create portals to instantly travel to people she has a strong emotional connection with and can cover vast distances through them.
*Shiii*
Before Raven could respond her eyes widen seeing she was suddenly surrounded by the royal blue aura before she could comprehend what happened next…

She was suddenly assaulted by a barrage of <Shigan> topped with <Power Augmentation> powering <Constant Speed> soon blue lightening danced off from Jack's body when he finally shows himself as he talked to her, "Sorry Raven. But I can't have you return back I need something from you. Also, thanks for the level-up."
*Thud*
Raven fell down unconscious when she was furiously attacked with clear bullet wounds on her falling down without a chance to fight back.
Without having a chance to react to Jack's speed he began to open up his <Fusion> condition getting Raven Semblance via completing the condition by surprise attacking her and didn't give her a chance to run away.
Opening up his skill list Jack sees what his new skill could do on the blue screen in front of him with a smirk on his face, "At least I have a way to connect with those I can fast travel to. Now to deal with her."

Using <Kindred Spirit> and a <Shadow Clone> opening a portal to Koromaru back on his home island the clone carried Raven with some aura cuffs nodding his head what to do next, "Ok boss. I'll make sure she can't harm or escape."
Jack nodded as the portal soon closed up with him smiling and returning back to his group.

Returning to the group with Qrow and Glynda soon joining with the first years with a serious expression on her face, "Mission accomplished first years. Congrats on a job well done. What you have done or done here today has made sure the Kingdom of Vale is safe."
Team RWBY and JNPR nodded in agreement with some in doubt making Qrow speak up about the importance of why they did a good job and feel good about themselves, "Listen kids I know you guys didn't expect the seriousness of our jobs. But as protectors of people and pillars for all to show we do what must be done. Just imagine if the White Fang managed to create a hole in the Kingdom's defenses. It would draw in Grimm to kill off innocent lives to innocents, parents, or children. What you did is good today. So, enjoy it."
Hearing Qrow's words everyone nodded in understanding feeling prouder of their work despite the setbacks they had all gone through.
Winter soon comes into the party with groups of Atlas robot soldiers on standby as she calls for everyone to leave, "Everyone! Job well done for your hard work today. Knowing the safety of Vale Kingdom walls and stopping the White Fang from their terrorism has made Remnant a safer place. Now come along we can all get you returned home now."
Everyone nodded at this feeling rejuvenated with everyone agreeing soon walked behind their Huntsman and Huntresses with Yang to speak out tired in her voice, "Man… that was a very tiring experience and eventful one. Talk about ending things with a… yang?"
Ruby, Blake, and Weiss all groaned at that joke figuratively and mentally painful to them, "Argh…"
Team JNPR on the other hand was tired with the exception of Jack casually being behind breathing in a sigh of relief, "Sigh… finally we can call this a day. Maybe we can use this time to relax after this and some training for the Vytal Festival coming up."
Hearing that all of them perked up at the news of the Vytal Festival soon approaching Pyrrha turning her head towards Jack, "Right we still have the Vytal Festival to take care of. Will probably have to try our hardest for it, right guys?"
Everyone nodded at this with Jack agreeing with Pyrrha speaking out to them, "Yeah… after everything that's happened, I think it's time we should use this chance to train to each our own."
With the Volume 2 event ending Jack was left to his own things before the Vytal Festival happened.
With everyone walking back Jack managed to recall everyone's thoughts with him thinking to himself in a curious tone, 'Hmm… Got to deal with the SDC CEO soon enough and Team SMMK tailing me. And got to handle the Fall of Beacon soon. Maybe it's about time to power grind but first I'm going to need to take a Relic. Good thing Raven is a good girl to deliver herself to me and I want to get a skill from Jinn. I really hope I get her <Time Stop> skill so I can begin to fuse. Ah… time for me to get busy.'
