Chapter 196: Vytal Festival (15)
~Third POV ~
"Yeah!"
"Finally the Semi-finals!"
"Go Team JNPR!!!"
"Go Team NDGO!"
The sound of rapid cheers was heard throughout the Amity Colosseum's seats with each person cheering on for the upcoming fight happening tonight.
People and students in Amity Colosseum's seats along with the rest of the cheering crowd, their screams being drowned out by the announcements.
Port over the broadcasting system begins to speak out excitedly, "Now, for the moment you've all been waiting for! The one-on-one finals!"
In the center of the battlefield's stage, Jack Nights smirks confidently as the camera pans down the line of final fighters, a few new faces mixed in with Penny Polendina, Nebula Violette, Trish Sapphire, and Jack Nights at the other end of the line.
Port back in the announcer's box with his co-host spoke out excitedly, "Barty, why don't you explain the rules?
Oobleck replies with the same amount of enthusiasm to his co-host talking to the crowd, "Ah, it's quite simple, Peter. Instead of a bracket system, each round of the finals will be randomly determined immediately before the match takes place!"
Port nods his head with all to see through the hard light screen shown above Amity Colosseum, "Much like any good hunt, there will be zero time to prepare!"
Oobleck agreed with a nod and begins to show the upcoming match, "Ah, yes, yes! Now, let's see who our first match will be!"
The energetic doctor points out to the screens above the stadium as the roulette starts spinning, this time for competitors instead of biomes.
The random selection is watched by the owner of the Crow Bar, a group of Human and Faunus kids, the visitors, and workers at the Cross Continental Transmit System before it gets back from the worldwide audience glimpses to reveal the first showdown.
The randomizer soon stops showing the faces of Jack Nights and Nebula Violette on the screen with two coming out as Port announces the names, "Jack Nights the favored winner of Vale and Hero to all, and Nebula Violette leader of Team NDGO of Shade is certainly a crowd favorite, but this lovely lady is going against the Hero of Remnant!"
Hearing this Jack eyes Nebula as did hers with an evident blush on her face.
Nebula has lightly tanned skin, indigo hair brushed over to her left side, and olive eyes. She wears a high-necked, tight-fitting gray shirt with dark gray accents, along with a long, lilac coat with one long sleeve and the other rolled up. She also wears a leather bandolier with a steel gray pauldron on the right shoulder, which also appears to hold her weapon.
She wears a slanted dark gray belt on the second notch alongside a breastplate that matches her pauldron. She wears gray pants with dark gray boots with light gray laces alongside dark gray forearm-length gloves with the left glove being fingerless and having a cuff. She also has a dark gray band around her right elbow with a smaller band on her upper left arm.
Ruby cupped her hands to make sure her encouragement is heard from her spot alongside RWBY, JNPR, and SSSN, "Break a leg, out there Jack!"
Everyone's eyes were glued onto the battlefield with Port speaking out to the combatants, "Would all other combatants please leave the stage!"
The rest of the lineup does so, and Jack starts walking up to Nebula in the middle as the floor around them opens once more, with a ring of spotlights rising up to automatically fix their lights on the remaining two.
Jack gets closer readying his M.V.S. in his hand while talking to Nebula congratulating her, "You certainly have made it to the semi-finals Nebula. I have to say congratulations on coming this far."
Nebula tosses her weapon a crossbow smirking and trembling with excitement speaking out to him, "Yeah I made it far. I also and the rest of the Vacuan students thank you for saving our sorry hides during the whole crap with those bastards."
Jack nods at that laughing lightly remembering his recent achievement defeating The Crown and replying back, "Haha. Yeah, I bet most would. Still good work getting to the semi-finals thus far but I'm afraid this is going to be where I beat you. Better luck in the next Vytal Festival Nebula."
A tick mark appeared on her but smiles holding her weapon in hand along with a few Dust on her person speaking out, "Yeah, yeah smart ass. I've seen your fights but I'm not going to back down and what you said to the other Vacuan students calling us weak when we got brainwashed. You at least expect us coming, for you after that remark."
Pausing on that Jack did mock the rest of the students that got brainwashed and wondered if Nebula or another student from Shade would've been in the finals.
Shaking his head off the idea he just simply get ready for the match with one thought in his mind, 'Guess me and Penny are going to have a rematch this time around in the finals. Heh… I can't wait for the chance. Better to end this quick and prepare for our fight before the fall.'
Both fighters face the crowds one last time, then slowly start advancing on each other, arms raised defensively until their hands can almost touch, as the final countdown commences with Port yelling out, "Three! Two! One! Fight!"
Nebula was the first to back off immediately, but Jack's own fist was coated in a white aura shaking and vibrating as if it was going to burst Jack merely said a few words before Nebula's eyes widen seeing a large white explosion occurred, "Sorry Nebula but I'm afraid I'm ending this in one punch."

At the moment Jack swung his fist at the center of the battle arena causing the attack he used creating a tremor fist by using his skill <Vibration Manipulation> to vibrate air enough to travel through pushing anything in his way.
Or rather a skill he gained from one of his clones training away <Vibration Manipulation>.

It was a skill that was created on the side showing the effectiveness called the <Vibration Emission> skill pushing everything away from Jack hereby causing Nebula to defend using her aura but ultimately was defeated in one punch.
*Thud*
Hitting the back of the Amity Colosseums walls and forced out by the ring out Port was the first to be shocked seeing this match end in one move, "Oh dear! Nebula Violette has been eliminated by ring out in one swell move! Truly we are seeing Jack Nights not pulling back from before the previous matches alright!"
Oobleck soon agreed to leave the crowd a bit stun and more so Nebula got defeated like nothing stun her ego a lot gritting her teeth and not doing anything at all.
Oobleck soon began to call out the next match with Jack leaving to the boys' room to recover his aura for the next match, "Well folks that were anti-climactic. Ahem! But anyway, with Jack Nights leaving to recover for his next and final opponent we will have Penny Polendina against Trish Sapphire please come to the arena."
The crowd was left in silence for a while before returning to excitement of who's going against Jack Nights while every one of Jack's friends was left surprised by the abrupt end like that but also curious if Penny could win against him.
While behind the scenes the students and professors are secretly making bets with the majority picking Jack to win while the minority think that the android Penny would win with Ironwood on Penny's side.

Whew~
Man, that was an easy fast win of my life!
The quest is soon going to be over soon and I for one can't wait for when the real challenges start.
The Fall of Beacon or Battle of Beacon is going to happen, and I can't help but feel nervous about what's going to happen next.
I made contingency plans in place as well as have my Future Foundation YoRHa combat androids on standby along with some Knightmare Frames at the ready in case things get hectic around these parts.
What else…
Oh right!
Have the Nuke at the ready as well as rebuilding project Kiryu 2.0 at the ready when everything hits the fan.
Having enough time and thanks to Azmuth memories of machinery and alien technology knowledge I began to work on my Kiryu 2.0 after using some drones to find the remains of the original Kiryu my first mechas fighting robot.
The only time I used him in a fight against an Alien God was the best time to use a super powerful replica of Godzilla owning that fight but with my newfound knowledge and newer resources…
I can rebuild Kiryu better, and stronger, I have the technology and unlike the first, this one has to have two more forms.
The first form is the basic Kiryu, the second form is Dust Arc Reaction powered muscle with nanomachines soon, and finally World War Kiryu in the case I find myself battling an enemy of kaiju attacking as a group.
Hehehe…
I'm willing to test it out when Salem releases her own Wyvern creature to stop the fucker down for size.
But fortunately for me, I have the universal pause button known as Jinn in case things start to get out of hand which just so happens that I use her to power my new and improved Kiryu 2.0 for a newer infinite energy when I personally pilot it.
I mean Atlas used theirs for a floating city?
For me, I use it to power a highly dangerous mechas giant monster that has flight capabilities along with the usual Absolute Zero spans along with highly plasma elemental attacks with some nanomachines missiles to infinitely span out against my enemies.

"Ring out! Trish is eliminated and Penny Polendina will advance to the finals!"
Opening my Scroll seeing a betting pool about me winning the Vytal Festival I smirked evilly knowing the results I'm going to do…
I'm about to make a whole lot of people's Lien out of commission.
Checking the cameras through Vale's security network I smirked seeing my puppet Jacques along with all of his corrupt partners coming to the nearing end of the Vytal Festival now landing as I grinned wickedly at this.
The perfect excuse to get rid of cancerous weeds in one fell swoop.
And I don't mean just the Atlas I also mean others across Remnant making Roman and Neo taking over the massive criminal empire of the four Kingdoms that much easier for me to monitor and control to a degree.
Hehe… it's almost time to settle with that annoying Spider Gang soon enough.

Listening over the intercom system smirking at this and viewing my Scroll with my friends texting about the upcoming fight or to be a rematch with Penny this will be the most exciting thing to happen… it's about time I settle the score with Penny.
