Chapter 8: Forgotten Scars
Maxwell "Ellen?"
(Tuesday)
(Maxwell's apartment)
Ella "I ended up sleeping in your apartment because of the rain, though I never expected you to remember everything so quickly senior Max"
(The night before Maxwell and Ella were together in Maxwell's room. Maxwell who was the student council president and also Ella's boyfriend was tasked by the Headmaster to prepare the class 5 students for their international high-school draft exam that was upcoming. However Ella, Maxwell's girlfriend was adamant on Maxwell teaching her alone and after she showed her persistence to Maxwell he eventually gave in and taught Ella there in his room, not long after the couple started to practice together it began to rain heavily outside and then the lights went off, Ella saw this as an opportunity to make her move on her boyfriend as she had originally intended coming into Maxwell's room in the first place, as she gathered up the confidence she began to move closer to Maxwell as if she were possessed she eventually climbed onto him and then without a moments hesitation giving into his male instincts Maxwell kissed Ella, and that night after he kissed had Ella Maxwell heard something he thought he'd never hear again, a name he had long since forgotten that he had left behind in his past. As soon as Maxwell heard that name he began to shed tears without even realizing it and with the mention of that name only one person came to his mind.....Ellen. Maxwell then remember a piece of his past he had let go)
(Yesterday)
Maxwell "Ellen?"
Ella "Max!?"
Maxwell "That name.....where, where did you here that name and why does it sound so familiar" Maxwell gets up and pushes Ella away.
Ella "You remembered Max" Ella says as tears run down her cheeks. "I cant believe it"
Maxwell "W...What are you even saying Ella, what do you mean remembered and why did you just call me Mahi. Oh damn my head hurts so much"
Ella "I thought you had completely forgotten....."
Maxwell "What are you even saying, tell me what is happening right now God as soon as I heard that name my head started hurting like crazy"
(Ella immediately hugged Maxwell and sighed in relief then she said in a tearful voice "I won't even leave you again")
(Ella then got Maxwell a bottle of water to calm him down and then they both sat on Maxwell's bed and Ella began to tell Maxwell all about the incident that happened on Gally beach 8 years ago)
Maxwell "So tell me what is this all about"
Ella "Okay then I will tell you. It was back when you were in middle school in Back Ray elementary, the 10th of January eight years ago the school had embarked on a field trip to Gally beach, and it was on that day everything in your life fell apart"
(The 10th of January 2011)
(On a bus to Gally beach)
Maxwell "Wooo it's been so long since we went on a field trip, I'm so excited aren't you Ellen"
Ellen "Hahah don't get so excited over a school trip Mahi you might just scare off the tourists"
Maxwell "Don't be mean Ella, you know I've been looking forward to this"
Ellen "Hahahah okay I guess I'll stop pulling your leg then"
<Ella "we were so happy back then and we did everything together, even if we got bullied by the bigger students in our class it never made us sad because we had each other. I was always very shy back then and could never say anything that was on my mind I was an absolute nerd that the the girls in the class felt happy to intimidate and bully because I would never speak up, but whenever I was with you I would always smile and laugh and I also remember that you used to love drawing and you'd always make a drawing for me everyday and it always made me very happy, and on that day in the Gally beach something beautiful happened">
(On the Gally Beach)
Maxwell "I wonder where Ellen went all of a sudden, we were suppose to spend the entire day together" Maxwell wonders around the beach looking for Ellen when he bumps into one his classmates.
<Boom!!>
Maxwell "Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you"
Drake "Hey you damn Idiot can't you see or something, you almost pushed me over and got dirt on me, your lucky I'm in such a good mood you dweeb or I would have you lick my shoes right here on the beach, hahaha". Drake notices what Maxwell has in his hand. "Oh I see, so is this why you hit me you dweeb, are those Juni flowers....don't tell me you were planning on giving them to someone, I mean who in their right mind would date someone like you"
(Juni flowers are a breed of flowers usually used by lovers to show their love for each other or to confess love)
<Ella "I didn't know about your confrontation with drake that day and you didn't even bother mentioning it because you never wanted me to worry, and even though you didn't have much strength you would always stand up to bullies, that's just how you were">
Maxwell "How do you even live with yourself...."
Drake "HUH?"
Maxwell "Do you just find pleasure in belittling others on a whim, is that fun for you? someone like you can never know what real happiness is, I mean how could you when all you do is follow Paxton around like a little dog always looking for his approval when even you know he doesn't give a damn about you and in reality your no different from me just another person afraid of bullies like Paxton but unlike me you decided to join him rather then get bullied yourself, even though you see me as a pathetic loser at least I live my life being true to myself and being truly happy and if you ask me you guys are the real pathetic losers, now please excuse me I'm looking for someone important to me"
(Those words that came out of Maxwell's mouth annoyed Drake so much but he couldn't even raise a finger as Maxwell just left him there speechless)
(How dare that little piece of....urghhh) Is what Drake thought to himself with a large grin of aggression on his face.
(Maxwell then went around the beach looking for Ellen until he finally found her by a convenience store)
Maxwell "Ellen!! hey where have you been I've been searching all over"
Ellen "Really can't you stay five minutes without me Mahi? I told you I was going to the toilet didn't I?"
Maxwell "Well that doesn't matter now come quickly let's go to the beach I have something to show you"
Ellen "Really? well fine we don't have much time left for the trip though so we better go quickly"
(On the beach)
Maxwell "Hey Ellen, do you want to go to the same high-school with me"
Ellen "Huh? what brought up such a question"
Maxwell "Just answer"
Ellen "Mmm well of course I do" Ellen blushes.
Maxwell "And after that the same college"
Ellen "Hmm....well yeah"
Maxwell "And after that will you stay with me after college "
Ellen "Maxwell what's gotten into you, you know we might not even end up in the same high-school talk less the same college, you know how ruff the acceptance exams can be so why are you asking me all this It's all in the hands of faith"
Maxwell "Well even if it's in the hands of faith, even if we don't go to the same college or the same high-school I still won't forget you"
Ellen "!!"
Maxwell "Even if we faith is against it I will wait for you Ellen because I want to stay with you, staying with you makes me happy and it also makes you happy and I like to see you happy so no matter what obstacles are ahead I want to go through them with you" Maxwell brings out the Juni flower. "So no matter what the future hold lets make sure we do it together, what I'm trying to say is....I love you Ellen "
<Ella "I was so happy when you gave me the Juni that I almost cried, without a second thought I replied "I love you too and I will do anything to remain by your side" but of course those were just words perhaps I was caught up in the moment and drifted from reality leaving all my weaknesses behind I felt so strong like I could truly do anything by your side, but in reality I found out that those words were easier said than done and that I was still the weak girl I always was, because what happened after that beautiful moment made it all clear, how cruel reality truly is">
(Later after the trip in Back Ray elementary)
<Ella "I guess we were too negligent and too over optimistic thinking everything would go well we were on cloud nine after the trip, but I guess it's like that one saying from Murphy's law, it says If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something, and indeed we did overlook one very important fact......the fact that Drake would be overly pissed at Maxwell for the speech he gave him, we thoughtlessly believed that he would stay quiet, and of course he didn't. A few minutes after school had ended some of the girls in our class called me to have a little chat and me being the coward and weakling I was I just followed them, and as soon as we got there I was dazed as I saw not only the girls put also Paxton and his group all there, I was scared but I couldn't run away and that's when they began harassing me ">
Paxton "So I heard that we have some new love birds in our school, hahah you guys are so stupid really I can't help it but laugh, I mean of course the two losers of the school would be together I'm sure you tell each other your all I have and crap like that to give yourselves a little bit of comfort from the hell that is your life"
<Ella "I now that I did a lot of dumb things back then but one thing that I regret the most is believing the words Paxton said said that night, I didn't even question it for a second he made all the beautiful things Maxwell said to me sound like less than a pathetic dream and I just cried believing that was the truth, meanwhile Drake had sent one of the students to tell Max that I was waiting for him, you then did as they planned as you came running to meet me but by the time you arrived the girls had already beaten me up pretty badly">
Paxton "Would you look at that he actually did come to meet her I thought you were Just joking when you told me you saw them on the beach Drake hahaha, anyway you little damn bitch I heard you called out one of my people on the bitch trying to give him a speech about happiness with your pathetic life as it is how dare you, since your all bent on happiness anyway then why don't I give you a little flash of reality by dealing with your lover. Drake!! drag her over here"
(drake carried an already beaten up Ellen over to Paxton)
Drake "Sure boss Ill bring her over"
Maxwell "Hey stop it please don't do this she is already injured enough" said Max in a shaky tone.
Paxton "Oh shut up!, since you guys are so in love I wonder how it will feel when you see your precious girl get raped right in front of you"
