Chapter 12: Kay and Miss Dora.
After almost a week Kay was about to call Miss Dora then she thought that it wouldn't be a good option.Miss Dora will must think that how obsessed I'm about this marriage.
Kay was still thinking that what should I do now?This question was roaming in her mind.After thinking a few minutes she finally called Miss Dora.It was a Monday morning.
*Phone rang*
Kay : Hello.
Miss Dora : Hello.
Kay : Kay this side.
Miss Dora : ohh..my child Kayyy (she said in a pleasant voice)
Kay : yeah,it's me.how are you?
Miss Dora : All good...all good what about you my dear?
Kay : I'm also doing well.
Miss Dora : I was about to call you.
Kay : Is everything is alright?
Miss Dora : ah...yes actually I wanted to ask you about your answer (she said in a hushed tone of voice)
Kay : ab..about proposal??
Miss Dora : yes.
Kay : It means that David haven't told you yet.
Miss Dora : David.....
Kay : I think he haven't told you about the meeting of us.
Miss Dora : a meeting...?(she asked her in a questioning tone)
Kay : Yes,actually...I met him last Saturday in the park he was there with Harry and we had a little chat.I just wanted to meet him before taking any kind of decision.
Miss Dora : ohh...I see.
Kay : Please don't mind actually I thought it would be an inappropriate thing to ask you for a meet up with him.
Miss Dora : Naah...nahh (she smiled and said) all okay,even it is really satisfying to know that you both already met.By the way how was your meeting?
Kay : (she blushed and said) it was good.
Miss Dora : Really.What do you think about him,I mean it's a yes or....or no?
Kay : He's good.I....I liked him.It's a yes.(she said in a blushed tone)
Miss Dora : (in a pleasant voice) ohh thank goodness.Congratulations dear.
Kay : Thank you...thank you.same to you.
Miss Dora : Dear child, I wanna meet your parents to decide and final the dates for the engagement.
Kay : My..my parents...(her tone was full of anxiety)
Miss Dora : yes,your parents.Is there any problem?
Kay : No,not at all.
Miss Dora : Ask them for a meet up then.
Kay : sure.
Miss Dora : I'll wait for your response.
Kay : Actually they are out of city right now so it is not possible for them to meet you now.
(she was making excuses)
Miss Dora : Ohh,I see.So now?
Kay : You have to wait for a while.
Miss Dora : when are they coming back?
Kay : Next week may be.
Miss Dora : May be?
Kay : let me clear it to you.Actually after my divorce my parent's always quarrel with me because they still think it was all my fault.I had to compromise at that time so.....they always blame me for it.
Miss Dora : ohh,its okay.
Kay : But,I already told them about you and they're satisfied with my decision.
Miss Dora : well that's really good.
Kay : the thing is that I have to wait for them.As they'll come back I'll let you know about it and we'll decide the dates.Is it okay?
Miss Dora : okay..okay no worries.
Kay : Thanks for understanding me.
Miss Dora : As an elder it's my duty to make it sure that my children are comfortable or not.
Kay : That's so sweet of you.I actually have to go to restaurant I'll call you later.
Miss Dora : sure,Take care of yourself,Good bye.
Kay : Take care you too,Good bye.
*phone cut*
Miss Dora was extremely happy she called Lara.She was doing preparations for the lunch.She came to her,Miss Dora told her about the chat with Kay.They both were very happy as well as excited.
David came back home Miss Dora asked him about the meeting with Kay.He said that it was an accidental meet.He wasn't supposing any meeting.She came to him and then they had a chat.
Miss Dora asked him that what kind of a chat they had.She was teasing him.David excused her by saying that he's not interested.But she insisted him so he just said,
"she's not a bad option as a caretaker of Harry and as I told you don't expect anything else from me",and left.
Miss Dora was worried about his future because he wasn't ready to except Kay as his wife he just want her as his son's "baby sitter" or "a caretaker" but not as his wife.
Lara was the one who always make her calm and relax.She was the oldest servant of Stevenson Family.She was very loyal.Miss Dora had only one friend and she was Lara.
Miss Dora and Lara both were deep down not satisfied with the statements of David.
On the other hand there was Harry a child without mother.He was growing up.David and Harry both had an adorable bonding because after the death of Maylie, David spent most of his time with Harry.
At that time Harry was of two and a
half years old.He wasn't that sensible.But he was attached with Miss Dora,Lara and his dad David.
Kay haven't told anybody about his son.He was 4 years old.Kay was so selfish she always thought about herself never about the people whom were related to her.His son's name was Kevin.He was so innocent just exactly opposite to her mother.
