Chapter 10: Iwa's Plot
Again, just like how it was with Hayate, I was greeted with nothing but silence.
'No way am I going to greet any of them if I ever run into them again in the village.'
Looking closely at them now, I noticed something strange.
One of the surviving members of our team was none other than that Hyuga.
'If he was alive then why did we fell into such an ambush and lost so many of our comrades.'
"You..." I pointed at the Hyuga. "Why didn't you inform us about the ambush?!" I said in a stern tone.
He flinched at my sudden confrontation.
"W-what do you mean?"
'Is he seriously feigning ignorance??!'
I tried my best to suppress the thought of lashing out at him. Nothing good will come out from that. He will have answer to the village's authorities anyway. But.....the fact that he will try to act as if he didn't even make a mistake. That was just aggravating.
I get that people make mistakes, but they should own up to them.
"What 'What do you mean' were you not given the task to spot the enemy and alert us for any possible ambush we may face. That was your ONLY JOB!!"
A tick mark appeared on his head as he said "Listen, Kid. I don't need this from someone who doesn't even has a year of experience as a ninja."
"You.....DO YOU EVEN REALISE HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED BECAUSE OF YOUR IGNORANCE YOU USELESS PIECE OF SHIT!!" I yelled at him.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY??!!" he grabbed my collar.
"I CALLED YOU A USELESS PIECE OF SHIT. DID YOU ALSO LOSE YOUR HEARING? HAVE YOU MADE IT YOUR MISSION TO BE A COMPLETE DEAD WEIGHT??!!" gripping his hand with my strength until I heard something cracking.
"You little...how dare you!...."
"ALRIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH!!" we heard our captain's shout and let each other go.
"You both can quarrel among yourselves as much as you like but only after we have completed our mission."
He sent a stern look at the Hyuga and said, "Katsu! You will be given appropriate punishment after we return and you better have a good explanation for your actions."
The said Hyuga looked down, then turned and walked away mumbling something.
I was still very angry at him. Luckily we have a few people or prisoners I can unleash my anger on.
I had captured three Chunins of our enemy alive. We had to get at least some information out of them. So we have to tortu-- I mean interrogate them after going to safer location.
I let the squad captain know about the three chunins and then we carried them on our back and then began our journey back to the leaf.

We continued our journey till sunset and we were already very close to the village now, It will hardly take us 1 more day.
After we were done setting up our camp, we lit a fire, cooked us some food and rested for a while. During that time we all also conversed about our next course of action as well as new team formations now that our numbers were reduced to single digits.
I could tell that the Captain had a lot of questions for me and my abilities but he didn't ask me anything. I guess he knew that even if he had asked, I wouldn't have given him a proper answer.
"Captain, I think we should get on with the interrogation now." I voiced my thoughts out loud
"No. We will first return to the village and then let the Yamanakas worry about it." The Hyuga Chunin said.
This was by far one of the most stupid thing I had ever heard.
"Right now, they are just dead weight. It is true that by catching live prisoners we can use them as tools for negotiation. But, according to our current rate, it will still take us 1 more day to reach the village. If during this one day, the enemy begins their attack or operation or whatever, we will suffer huge losses." I replied
"Hmm. Alright we will got through what Shirou has suggested." Captain said after thinking about it for a while.
"Wha- but Captain!" Hyuga said
"While they can be used as tools for negotiation, it is much too early for that and besides, Shinobis are willing to sacrifice their lives for their village. That dammed Ohnoki won't negotiate with us just for these 3 no name Chunins. At least not until he has used everything up his sleeve and has been defeated." Captain firmly stated as he didn't want any more discussion on the matter.
"Also you, don't pick fights with your teammates." He told the Hyuga while patting his shoulder and later getting close to his ear he whispered something in order to not let anyone else hear it but I heard it. I heard it loud and clear he said "especially him."
Hearing this made my lips curl upwards involuntarily.
'This certainly brightened up my day. Now let's go torture some idiots.'

If you can't tell, I am running at my full speed right now. Yupp running at our full speed when the sun had already set a while ago. Why? you ask.
Well to tell you that I am gonna have to back up to a few hours ago when everything was going peachy. The captain took command of the interrogation, trying methods of torture I never really knew existed. It was a pity that I wasn't able to get in on all the fun but I was getting a kick out of it by just watching it.
All until one of them finally break and coughed up everything he knew about their plan and their current status.
And it is much better than what we expected it to be. In fact saying that was an understatement. They were only a few moves away from calling a check on us.
Apparently while we were busy fighting them at our borders. They had sent a huge portion of their force to the Land of Rice and had already set up a proper base as well as a heavily guarded supply line.
You can probably guess where I am going with this right?
Yupp this is the information about the battle without which the storyline for 'Naruto' wouldn't exist.
Their supply line was "The Kannabi Bridge".
'AGHH!!! If only I had known that the kannabi bridge was in Land of Rice, I wouldn't have had to wait till the end of this mission to know what's what.' I screamed mentally
Though it wouldn't have made any difference either cuz' I can't just go to the Hokage and tell him about their base in the land of rice and that there will be about 3 thousand shinobis invading our land in just 2 days.
Oh yeah this was also the information we got. Iwa was planning to launch their attack on us in 2 days by sending 3 thousand shinobis into our territory. This was why they had sent that recon team which we had fought.
And also what was the main contribution that led me to rush to the village at once was that the Captain said that I had to go since I am the fastest and will probably reach the village even faster than any summoned animal used for communication.
'I mean is it bad to have speed? Why aren't you as fast as I am aren't you an elite jonin and the Captain. Don't you feel embarrassed at the fact that you are slower than an 8 year old?'
'Ughh I am so mad.'
'Could have done this shit in the morning after breakfast as well but nooo run on an empty stomach after fighting an entire squad of shinobis who could have killed me if not for my system.'
'And I am so mad right now that I have started monologuing right now and that too to bunch of people who have enough free time to be reading fanfics right now.'
"FUCK THIS SHIT!!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs while running.
