A new season is starting "
Osaka, 7 years ago.
"Oh. Finally this work is done." Andini mumbled. She stretched her body. Tried to loosen up the stiffness of her little muscles. Hours of taking photos made her muscles became tight. She was quite busy that day. And she was little bit tired
The tiring work was finally finished. After a busy week, Andini took some photos of the cherry blossoms and the beautiful view of the city.
" Tired but fun at the same time. ' Andini said to herself.
Andini gatherd up all of her photography equipment. She removed the lens from the camera, cleaned it first and put the two devices into the large black bag beside her feet. Her tripod and all the equipment she put neatly into another bag.
She smiled happily as she looked at the surrounding area. What a beautiful sight this was. Around this area, cherry blossoms were blooming everywhere. It was an extraordinary beauty. She felt surrounded by true happiness.
"Ah, how beautiful life is. God, I am so blessed!" she was grateful.
Even though Andini went to Osaka just for work, but she enjoyed it. It was true what people say, if we loved our work, happiness and satisfaction were the rewards.
Andini came to Osaka on behalf of some of her co-workers who suddenly couldn't go to Osaka because there was something very urgent, and she would replace and represent them as photographers. At first, she hesitated and decided to reject it, but in the end, because of the persuasion of her friends and a dream of seeing the cherry blossoms blooming directly in their habitat, she finally decided to go to this Land of The Rising Sun.
"Japan, I will come to you." she said then with a smile. She was grateful that she had learned Nihongo, the Japanese language. Because she loved Japan so much and always longing to come.
"Hi, Ms. Andini, thank you for helping us in this work. It is wonderful and it is an honor for us to work with you," said Hasigawa as he bowed respectfully.
Then Andini bowed and said: " It is also an honor for me to be able to help and cooperate with you Hasigawa San and the others. I really admire your work which tells a lot about the beauty of Japan. You really are a great photographer. Never once dreamed of meeting and collaborating with you Hasigawa San."
Hasigawa Takahiro was one of the best landscape photographers in Japan. Andini had long admired his work. That was why she was so happy when Tita, one of her coworkers told her that she would be able to work with Hasigawa Takahiro. She almost screamed with joy at that moment. She hugged Tita and nodded in agreement. That was one of the reasons Andini accepted this work trip, besides the reason to see the cherry blossom in person.
Then they, Andini and Hasigawa continued their chat.
This work was in order to establish cooperation in the field of photography where later Hasigawa san would hold an exhibition in Indonesia, precisely in Jakarta and Bali later. This collaboration was deliberately built to establish strong ties between Indonesia and Japan. Where later there would be an exhibition of the culture and beauty of Indonesia and Japan. This collaboration would later continue to several beautiful areas in Indonesia. And later would be base in Bali.
"Ah, Mrs. Andini, tonight we will have a party to finish our work. We are waiting for you to come at 7 pm tonight." Hasigawa stated.
"That will be fun. I'll be there at 7 tonight. Thanks for the invitation. I'll be there, Hasigawa san. See you later at the party." Andini said.
"After this, where are you going?" he asked her.
"Ah, I want to take a short walk around here just to enjoy the atmosphere of Osaka before return to the hotel." Andini replied.
"Then please continue. See you at the party." Hasigawa and the others waved at her.
Andini waved at them too.
"Ah, how happy I am." she said.
It was such a relief after all this was over. There were still three days left before she returns to Indonesia. To her homeland.
Andini walked slowly with a smile. She felt the joy and pleasure of being able to come to Japan and see the cherry blossoms in person. She looked up at the blue sky. Took a few more photos of cherry blossoms against a blue sky background with her smartphone camera. Then continued to walk. Alone.
Then in her heart she said, "I hope I will find someone here. Lord, I beg of You."
She stopped for a second. Closed her eyes. And smiled. She loved Japanese people. She was crazy about Japan.
A cold wind blew against her face. Created another sensation in her heart.
God heard her prayers. And so the universe too.
