Chapter 44: Apprehension of the Eternal
Away from San Meili's gaze, the fox with hair like the night watched the air crackle and distort around San Meili, and finally showed some reaction. Its tail wagged slightly, and soon it was possible to see that the fox actually had two tails.
Noticing the fox's reaction, Lu Bao Shi, who had been flying next to San Meili the whole time, stopped his flight and looked at the fox. Noticing Lu Bao Shi's gaze, the fox just looked at her with a look of superiority, as her brilliant black eyes shone on this dark plain. Lu Bao Shi's wings also glowed slightly, and soon she followed San Meili again.
A small, irregular hole appeared in front of the fox, while its tails still danced in the air. From the hole, it was possible to see the eternal, walking slowly as it sucked up all the life around it, creating a trail of death. The eternal didn't seem to notice that the fox was watching him, or if the eternal did, he didn't care. He continued to sing his macabre song, while his claws scratched at the trunks of the now dead trees.
With a look of disgust, one of the fox's tails swished and the crack in the air vanished as if it had never existed. Soon, the fox stood still as a statue, watching the battlefield unfold.
The fox watched as San Meili was hit by fireballs, claw cuts, and was bitten as he advanced relentlessly toward the tree where Jorge and Hellen stood.

I know I have to work on this issue of my anger, but I can't do that right now. Right now, my only focus is to get to Hellen and Jorge. I notice that Lu Bao Shi got distracted half way, maybe the eternal one has picked up the pace, all the more reason for me to be faster.
BOOM
A pillar of earth came up from below, taking all the air out of my lungs and throwing me into the air. Just in time, Lu Bao Shi arrives at my side, and helps me create a dark root that acts like a spring, cushioning my fall and pushing me away.
My body is tired and wounded, but I feel deep in my being that my spirit is burning like the flames of a phoenix! Climbing up the trees, I approached the first magical beast, the one closest to the ground. It was a Winter Gibbon, a magical beast that spends most of its life up in the trees, with Ice element, an element that works very well against the Plant element.
With each passing day, the more I hate the monkeys.
By the time the Winter Gibbon realized my arrival, it was already too late for him. This species may be 13 feet tall, but this one is only 8 feet tall. Wrapping myself around the Winter Gibbon's body, all the spiritual energy that was already circulating in my body without stopping converged in my mouth.
Nature's judgment!

A sound of something exploding was heard, and just then the Gibbon's body fell, without its head. Looking up, I realized that George was wounded, with splinters of wood falling every time he defended, and Hellen was holding a staff in one hand, while in the other was a wooden sword. She was chanting a spell with her runes, which made me even more anxious. It is necessary to understand that Hellen's runes are flawless, there is no side effect, only for those who used the runes.
These runes demand a lot of energy, and some even use life force. The fruit from earlier only restored Hellen's energy, but did not cure her of all the effects of using runes on a Rank 9 magical beast. Why put so much effort into it? I mean, if it were any sensible person, she would have run away by now. Why is she still here, still fighting? What does she want to prove? Doesn't she know that her own safety is the most important thing here?
I simply completely ignored all the other magical beasts still in the tree and those trying to climb up, and went to the top, where Hellen and Jorge were, moving as fast as I could.
This is when I miss my arms and legs...
Come on, faster... faster, GO!
The time seemed to drag on, Lu Bao Shi who was flying next to me seemed to almost stop, the Blood Bat that Jorge was desperately fighting, the War Ant that Hellen was facing with all her strength, even the shock waves from my mother's fight seemed to have slowed down...
But my mind was not willing and could not process this information now, my full attention was on the magical beasts that were attacking Jorge and Hellen. My body didn't seem to be very affected by this strange state. Maybe it is just something in my mind, the excess spiritual energy I am using every second.
Jorge was on a lower branch, so I reached him first. Thinking at high speed with my body still moving as fast as I can, I looked at Lu Bao Shi who was above my head flying slightly. She seems to know what my intention is.
Blood bats are bloodthirsty creatures, warriors from birth. In wars like the one the magical beasts are in these days, Blood Bats are usually used as killers, because their stealth and lethal attacks are relentless. Their only weakness is that they are fragile, with little defense. To avoid having their weaknesses used by their enemies, they usually travel in packs.
Apparently, the war did not allow the old fart, but known as the matriarch, to send more than one. Knowing her weakness, I will take advantage of it. This blood bat was 7 feet (2.13 m) tall, with red fur and black skin. Scary claws and deadly fangs.
Bang!
Just as Jorge throws a punch and the Blood Bat deflects, I see my opportunity to attack!
Instinctively, I end up merging into the branch I am on, sinking into it. By the time I reappeared, I was already below the Blood Bat, which was hovering a few feet above the branch. Without wasting time or catching my breath, I create small roots, which together act like a spring and push me upwards. As soon as I am at the height of the Blood Bat, I create a blue mushroom, an incredibly deadly mushroom. But guess who has almost total immunity to any poison? That's right, some crazy person, because I don't!
I create the mushroom inside my mouth, the only part that doesn't have some kind of cut. Along with the smoke released by the mushroom, I use Nature's Judgment, as a way to amplify the power of the blue mushroom's poison, thus creating a kind of bomb.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM
What I didn't know is that using both was like throwing fuel on raging flames! How the hell did this thing explode? Nature's Judgment is usually like a beam of green light shooting out of my mouth, at best it is 1.5 inches thick. This thing I used now, it was more like I was spitting blue flames from my mouth, even the branch Jorge was on was destroyed!
Holy shit, Jorge! Propelling my body downwards, I catch Jorge while Lu Bao Shi helps me to create a new branch to support us. Right away, Jorge on my head and Lu Bao Shi flying above me, I go to the War Ant confrontation. I need to give a piece of my mind to Hellen, if not, she will keep doing these risky things and putting her own life at risk!

"Ram-buh-tin-ga... soraba..." The humming of the fearsome creature was the only thing to be heard in this lifeless forest.
The Eternal with its arms discomfiting to its humanoid figure was still feasting on the life force around it, when it suddenly looked forward to the San Meili battlefield. He found the black serpent annoying with its Plant element, but it wouldn't be too annoying. After all, he would die in a short time.
But when he looked at Amanda, a white serpent that seemed to glow even without light around it, he shuddered slightly. This one mile long white snake was dangerous! He couldn't let this snake live a single minute longer! It may be weak, but he still remembered how he felt when he was enslaved so many hundreds of thousands of years ago.
Having made up his mind, the Eternal's body shot up from where he was standing, creating destruction where he passed. He still looked at Amanda, who was fighting against two Rank 9 magical beasts and several other Rank 3 and 5 magical beasts, and yet she was winning! He would not let another anomaly arise among the magical beasts!
