Chapter 213: How It All Started

"What is this?"

As the bright blue light that was spreading out from her faded, Stella noticed that a great transformation had taken place in her. She noticed that her body had changed into a pale, glowing blue substance that no longer resembled human flesh. The bits of her hair that she could see hanging down her shoulders had changed into writhing tendrils of water.

"This is your power, Stella," Serac said. "You can absorb mana you come into contact with and use it as your own. It was only possible for this power to take residence in your body because you were born with that special condition that left your body devoid of mana."

Stella looked at one of the bubbles that had formed in the air around her and touched its surface gently with her finger. A reflection could be seen in it that played one of her most cherished memories of her time with Rune during their childhood.
