-In front of Crimson wish hotel
"The target will come out soon get ready and let's go over the plan again" I said to the other.
"There are 4 of us: one E, one E-, one F- and one G-. While there are 5 of them with 4 F+ and 1 E+. Normally this would have been a losing battle, but the academy offered us some equipment since this is a difficult task. First, we will use the smoke bomb to blind them. I will try to knock two of the F+ rank down and I will procced to occupy the leader while you guys deal with the other two. Once you are done, you are to help me with the leader. If the worst were to come and we can't capture them, we are to eliminate them. Failure is not an option."
"Any objection?" I said as I looked toward Ruby as I thought she would not like being ordered around.
None of them nodded and didn't have any objection. Soon out targets came out.
"Make sure your gears are okay especially your thermal googles. Once the targets reach the point the mission will commence."
We made sure to analyse their route beforehand and found out a good spot where we could fight them without being notice or them getting any reinforcement. We followed them as stealthily as we could. As soon as they reach the point, we threw the smoke bombs and commence the assault.
I used [Flash Step] to get to the 2 target that was close to each other and knocked them out with [Mad Demon's art]. As their rank was lower than mine I, it was not that hard to knock them out. The other started to engage with the two remaining F+ ranks while I used [Flash Step] again to dash toward the leader and use [Flash Destruction] but without coating it with the flames, as I wanted to figure out his strength and save my mana, however my attack was blocked.
"Tsk, are the association that short-handed that they have to send weakling to fight me, or they are just that confident?" The leader said.
Leid was a magic swordman he so he could use low level spell to restrict the opponent's movement while Theo would fight the villain. On the other hand, Ruby could handle one herself without much effort but still had some troubles as she didn't have any experience.
[Sword art: Second Form: Ice Rose]
The sword art that Ruby uses is the [Ice Empress Sword Art] which she got from her mother. As the name suggest, it is a sword art that make use of the Ice attribute. It is the complete opposite of my [Mad Demon Sword Art]
She had successfully frozen her opponent's legs and knocked him out.
[Magic: Bind]
Leid had cast magic while Theo charged toward the opponent and was about to knock him out. However, their opponent successfully broke free from the restraint and coated his mana before doing an upper swing. That caught Theo off-guard. When he thought he was about to die a figure appear behind his opponent and knock him out with her heavy sword, it was Ruby who had a disappointed look on her face as the two of them couldn't handle one opponent. Without wasting any more time, they quickly rushed to Alan's direction.

"CLANK! CLANK!"
Our sword kept clashing against each other. Normally I wouldn't use my weapon to defend myself, I would rather dodge as clashing weapons could dull the blade, but I had no other choice as my opponent was faster than me. However, as the battle went on, I was starting to get the upper hand as my stack would increase with each strike. But I couldn't use an enhance attack as even though if it had an attack of an A rank, it would had been useless if it was blocked or it missed, it would have also been more preferable if I could had capture him rather than killing him.
"No wonder why they were confident you're pretty skilful" the leader had a smile on his face, however it soon disappeared as he realised that his under linings were defeated and the others were coming this way. He was going to take out to the strength boosting drug in his dimensional storage.
Seeing this I used [Flash Step] to get beside him.
[Second Form: Flash destruction]
This time as well I didn't apply my flame attribute to the strike and nor used my stack to enhance the attack. My sword that had reached his neck was barely blocked by him. I let go of my sword and instead use my stack to enhance my hand and Karate chop his neck making unconscious.
"I-impossible, h-how" These were his last words before his consciousness faded.
"Ha ha. You took him down?" Ruby spoke while panting
"Barely. Let's tied them up and asked for the instructor to come pick them up" I replied back
"Okay!"
"Still why did they give this job to student. The others got easier ones." Theo complaint about the academy's decision.
"They probably wanted to catch these guys using us so that they wouldn't use the Strength Boosting Drug as they would have underestimate us" I replied
"I guess that does make sense. If stronger Heroes were to come capture them, they would have probably used those drugs before the fight started"
As we were tired, we sat down waiting for the instructors to come and pick up the targets. Even though they were the one that gave us this assignment they were quite shocked as no one was injured. Soon we reached the academy and let out a sigh of relief as we successfully completed a high difficulty mission.

-Back at Luxion Academy- Instructor Irene's office
"Good job to all of you. You all exceeded our expectation. We apologise for this unbelievable assignment that we have given you so you guys will be given additional point. Go and take a rest now"
All of us were happy for the additional point we got and left the office. The risk was somehow worth it.
While returning to my room someone approached me.
"Are you really sure to let them take the credit? You dealt with three of them while I dealt with the other two." It was Ruby who was somewhat disappointed at Theo and Leid for leeching off of us
"They did their best. This mission was hard to begin with. If the difficulty would have been lower, they would have been more useful. Instead let's just be happy that we succeeded without any injuries or casualties "
"You're still too soft. No matter how strong you are that weakness of yours may be your downfall."
"No. You're softer than me, remember that" I gave Ruby an expressionless look before I continued on my way without looking back.
"What do you mean I'm softer than you? Hey!"
