Chapter 19: Her People
It's Fiora's last day in Italy. She was at her house packing her stuff then she suddenly remembered something, grabbed her phone and made the call. "Hello! Umm Can we meet today and it has to be today because i don't have time." said Fiora on call. After a little pause she made plan to meet someone at a restaurant in evening then she hung up.
Layla was in her room texting Fiora when someone knocked at her door. "Come in." said Layla and put her phone away. Daniel entered. "Madam new weapons arrived in a warehouse. When will you visit?" asked Daniel. "Umm wait." said Layla and picked up her phone and made a call. "Hey! Are we meeting today in evening?" asked Layla to Fiora on phone. "No! not today. I have to be somewhere." said Fiora. "Where?" asked Layla. "somewhere." answered Fiora. "Are you cheating on me?" asked Layla smiling. "Stupid No! Just some important work left to complete. I will be free till dinner. Let's meet then." said Fiora on the phone and hung up. Layla made the cutest upset face. "Daniel What do you think she is upto?" asked Layla and scratched her head a little. "If you want me to check then i will be on it." answered Daniel. "Noo! That wasn't my intention. Why are so serious all the time? Did you ever laughed in your life?" asked Layla. "Sorry madam to disappoint you. I will laugh from now on." said Daniel. "How cute!" said Layla and laughed like crazy. Daniel tried to put a fake smile. "Okay! don't try so hard. I will visit warehouse in the evening." said Layla. "Okay madam I will prepare everything then." said Daniel and left the room.
In the evening, Layla visited warehouse and Fiora got ready and went to restaurant as she planned. She was waiting for someone sitting there and after few minutes Noah appeared. Fiora waved at him. He saw Fiora and walked to her. You came!" said Fiora. Noah sat down and drank a sip of coffee. "It's cold." said Noah. "I ordered it ages ago." told Fiora. "Then get me new one. You are rich." said Fiora. Fiora signaled her guard to bring some coffee. "Why did you call me here?" asked Noah. "There are few things I wanted to tell you which Layla will never tell you." said Fiora and started explaining him all the story that how they planned to use him for their revenge and then how they used him again to lure Gace to Layla's place and that was the main reason for Layla's bad reaction on your proposal. "Wow! You people really consider yourself something. You both are so mean." said Noah. "I know it's alot to take in but consider yourself in her shoes." said Fiora. "Well i wouldn't have betrayed the one i love atleast." said Noah. "I know you are flabbergasted but Layla really loves you and her feelings are genuine." said Fiora. "It's too late now." said Noah and stood up to leave. "You know what she feared the most...It was you leaving her. She didn't want to see you leaving her behind. That's what she said so please think about it. She is being firm but she is broke inside." said Fiora and Noah left after listening to her. Waiter brought the coffee. "What should i do with this now? You have it." said Fiora to the Waiter and left after giving him some money.
Layla came to Fiora's house at night. Fiora arranged the delicious food. "Did you make this all?" asked Layla. "I am not that competent. I just made the dessert." said Fiora. "Ohh now i am excited about the dessert especially." said Layla. "Let's eat now." said Fiora and took spoon in her hand. "I will really miss you but no I am already missing you." said Layla. "You can visit me anytime and I will come to see you too." answered Fiora. "Who will manage here?" questioned Layla. "I already sold everything including factories and land. It's just this mansion." said Fiora. "Who bought it?" asked Layla. "I don't know him personally but there is this mysterious man. No one seen him but he is really powerful and growing so speedily in this buisness. He is specifically known for his interest in arts. He owns half of Italian art museums. He offered me handsome amount of money so I sold him everything." answered Fiora. "Wow he seems really mysterious. Don't you know his name?" asked Layla. "Yeah What was it? .....Umm Alec Salvador." said Fiora. "He is interesting. I should meet him. I think he will be beneficial for my buisness." said Layla. "Don't! I heard he is really strict and don't spare anyone especially his enemies." said Fiora. "Girl I will become his friend not enemy. What if he is strict? I will melt him." said Layla and started laughing. "Stop now! Don't ever try anything funny. You will get hurt." said Fiora. "Seriously You are taking me light. I can bring him down if i want. Don't challenge me." said Layla and smirked. "Okay! fine Your highness." teased Fiora. Then they both ate their dinner, enjoyed some wine and slept.
Next morning Layla and Fiora woke up and had breakfast together. It was the day when Fiora's leaving the country. Both were little sad. They packed everything and left for the airport.
"Are you really leaving? I can't believe this." said Layla standing in the airport. "Just give me a big hug." said Fiora. Layla hugged Fiora and just then Layla's phone started ringing. "Who is calling at this important moment?" said Layla and picked up. Layla heard someone on the call. "Just give me the address." shouted Layla on the call. Layla hung up and she was really shocked and frightened. "What happened?" asked Fiora. "It was Daniel. Noah is in hospital. Someone stabbed him and he is really injured." said Fiora panicking. "Go! hurry up." said Fiora. "But what about you?" asked Layla. "I am okay. I will go when they will announce my flight. You should go to him. Don't waste time." said Fiora. "Okay then call me when you will arrive there." said Layla and ran towards the exit. She was about to sit in the car when she remembered something and called one of the guard near her. "Go to Fiora and make sure she will safely get to her plane. Don't leave her side or i will cut your head." ordered Layla, sat in her car and left.
Layla reached hospital, met Daniel and he showed her the room. Layla saw Noah covered in alot of wounds. He was barely breathing. "Who did this?" asked Layla. "He has been working for some thugs since the day he left from here. I think they did this to him." said Daniel. "What they do?" asked Layla. "They gamble and also do small thefts." said Daniel. "Do you know where they are?" asked Layla. "I checked. They own a small gym in Sicily where they run their buisness." said Daniel. "Gather everyone! We are going there." said Layla. "But it's Marco's territory. We are forbid there." said Daniel. "I don't care." mentioned Layla.
Daniel prepared everything. Layla along with her people went to Sicily while Noah was unconscious. Daniel took her to their destination. Layla was standing infront of the gym. "Kill everyone. Don't spare a single soul and bring their boss to me." ordered Layla. Guards entered and knocked out everyone. They captured their boss and binded him to the pole. Layla went to him. "Why are you doing this to me?" asked the man. "Why did you touch him?" shouted Layla. "Who?" questioned the man. "Huh he doesn't remember. I am asking about Noah." said Layla. "Oh that boy. He punched my man." told the man. "You messed with the wrong person. You will regret this. You harmed my person and I will make you disappear without a single trace." said Layla. "I am sorry. Please spare me. I will never do this again." said the man. "I don't care." said Layla and shot in his leg. Man shouted loudly in pain. "Ops Is it painful?" asked Layla. "alot!" said the man panting. "Did you think about this pain when you stabbed him?" questioned Layla. "I am sorry. I will serve you my whole life. Please give me a chance." pleaded the man. "I don't want a garbage like you to serve me. Sorry!" said Layla and shot in his another leg. Man shouted again in pain. "I am sparing your life but don't forget I am always watching you. If you ever lay your finger on my people. I will make you pay." said Layla to the man and left. Daniel followed her. "Don't get him treated. Make sure he will lose his both legs." ordered Layla then she wear her sunglasses and sat in the car.
