Chapter 30: CHAPTER THIRTY:JASON MACANN IS THE FATHER OF YOUR CHILD
Anna was already prepared for anything and that includes Jason, she is very much aware that Jason's parents are wealthy and have a lot of connections but so was her own parents.
Even if she has to kneel and beg her mom she would do anything to protect herself and her child.
There is no turning back!!
Anna got back to her apartment and wasn't really surprised when she found her door already opened knowing that there is only one person who was practically living with her all in the name of work.
Ever since the last time manager Gu threatened to fire Stacy due to incompetence in her job so he claimed, she had sworn to torment Anna's life by not letting her out of her sight not even for a minute which doesn't suit well with Avianna just that she didn't have any choice.
Avianna does wonder at times if Stacy was her personal assistant,nanny or even a spy because right now she feels like she can't even have a moment of silence in her own apartment without hearing a tiny voice singing only God knows what and that annoys her.
Avianna walked into the house and as expected Stacy was in her kitchen cooking and humming only what she could understand to herself, the aroma of the food made her go closer to check for herself what Stacy was actually cooking.
"And what do you think you are doing in my kitchen Stacy" Anna teased.
"Swimming maybe,"Stacy jokes, knowing that Anna asked the question for no reason at all.
Anna can be quite playful at times most especially when she is not working or when she is in a good mood which doesn't happen often.
"Do you care for any?" Stacy asked, pushing the fruit drink she was having while waiting patiently for the food to be ready.
"Nah thank you, I don't feel like drinking anything" Anna said.
"So how did it go with Jason? '' Stacy asked, trying to start up a conversation. "Hope he didn't give you a hard time?" she asked again not even giving Avianna the chance to answer any as she continued "Though it will be nice if you give it a thought and try accepting him back, Anna seriously look at the big picture here is going to be a hit and bring many deals for you darling, can't you just forgive him and move on with him just this once" Stacy suggested although she knew this was going to change Anna's mood but at least someone had to talk to her about it because that is what everybody is expecting being that Avianna Queen is the nation's beauty while Jason is the most popular male model in country A and they look perfect together.
"Just like everyone at the company is anticipating the photoshoot tomorrow, so is the whole country eagerly waiting for your engagement announcement with Jason" Stacy added.
Surprisingly Anna did not say a word to Stacy or even try to shut her up all the while she was talking, giving Stacy the hope that she was actually listening to what she was saying.
"While you don't announce the engagement yourself Stacy at least that would make you less useless' ' Anna replied as she hissed and walked out of the kitchen straight to her room.
What the fuck was wrong with everybody?Gustavo is trying to get her and Jason together against her will obviously for his selfish reasons and here also comes Stacy spilling the same nonsense.
What the fuck is even special about Jason?!!
Nothing anybody would say will ever make her allow Jason to come close to her life and talk more of being in a relationship with him not just for her but also for the safety of her child.
Anna noticed that her phone was ringing, she looked at the familiar number and knew who it was immediately but then why was her mom calling, Avianna wondered but then she picked the call hoping that her mother had had a change of mind.
Avianna picked the call and was greeted with that cold stern voice that never seems to change even after so many years.
"Avianna, who is the father of that bastard you call a child?" Mrs. Avery Queen asked just as she heard Anna's voice.
What?!! Why would her mom ask her who the father of her child is all of a sudden? Does she know something or was she being curious?
Avianna almost hissed out loud as she rolled her eyes wondering if her mom would ever stop bothering her life.
"You don't know when to give up mom, do you?, I have told you before and am going to say it again leave I and my child alone, I am not interested in your company and moreover you don't expect me to throw away my years of hard work just for a company that am not even interested in, just learn to accept defeat mom"Avianna said sarcastically.
Avianna has always hated the fact that the woman she calls her mom also wants to mess up her career. What kind of mother doesn't wish her child well?.
"I am giving you the last chance Anna to answer my question,who is Sophie's father?" Mrs Avery growled in anger.
"How do you even get to know my baby's name? Anna asked while shocked, almost tearing up.
Until when would her mom let her be? What is she trying to achieve by ruining her life? How far was her mom willing to take this?
"I don't know what exactly you are planning but just know that I am going to protect my child with everything breath in me" Avianna responded.
"Likewise how I would protect you even when you are acting foolish, who is your baby's daddy? " Mrs Avery asked again with all seriousness in her voice.
"That, you will never find out so get a hold of yourself mom and let me be" Avianna yelled this time out of frustration.
Mrs Avery Queens smirked over the phone.
"And what makes you think I don't know that Jason Macann is the father of your child foolish girl".
