Chapter 5: Caster in Blue

(A/N: This sounds weird but try to comment as much as possible, it helps out a lot.)

Fuyuki City,

Ryuudou Temple,

Luke POV,

Luke looked at the servant pointing his weapon at him with a small grin on his face, "Me? Nothing much." he said slightly tilting his head to the side as he eyed the wooden staff clearly, the person standing in front of him was one hundred percent the Caster Cú Chulainn, this man was originally summoned as a Lancer in the Fuyuki Singularity but Odin, who had forseen what would happen, made him into a Caster by use of some unorthodox methods.

Bottom line is, this man was the Caster servant who appeared in the Fuyuki Holy Grail War in the timeline which became the Fuyuki Singularity or Singularity F, in the events of Fate Grand Order. This explained a lot of stuff to be honest, it explained why none of the entities capable of noticing him had done anything yet.

Alaya would be too busy saving humanity and Gaia would be too busy trying to end it. Zelretch well....he didn't know what the old troll was up to. "Yeah that sounds like bullshit." Cú slightly chuckled pulling back his staff, this man was too unnatural to be a normal human. "It is what it is." Luke shrugged, not even slightly scared by the fact that the man in front of him could possibly kill him without much effort.

"You, are you a magus?" Cú asked curiously, he didn't have a master at the moment because the last one met an.....unfortunate accident courtesy of Odin. "Not really." Luke answered closing his eyes, he wasn't really a magus nor was he interested in becoming one, he wasn't interested in using people like that.

"Do tell what a servant found so special about me." Luke asked with a small grin, he couldn't really do anything else at the moment so this would be his course of action. "Ho? So ya do know about the war." Cú said with a thoughtful look on his face, this man claimed to not be a magus and yet was for all Cú knew, aware of the Holy Grail War.

"Course I do. Was lookin to conjure up some hell myself but guess I can't do that without a servant." Luke shrugged, he was actually thinking about just buying some guns somehow and going to town on the masters rather than the servants. Cú slightly grinned as well, "Well ya seem like a nice fellow." this guy seemed like someone he would get along with!

Luke looked up in thought for a few moments, getting a servant for himself would probably be the best course of action for now. This servant standing in front of him right now was probably masterless as well if the events of the game were anything to go by. Thinking about it logically, Caster was probably the best servant he could get if he was going for the long term.

Seeing no real harm, he went for it immediately, "How about contracting with me?" Luke asked curiously with a smile on his face. The grin on Cú's face froze for a few moments when he heard those words, he didn't really have a master right now and was tasked with combating whatever came this city's way. Having a master would allow him to use his full power and would certainly be advantageous, the downside would be the fact that he would technically have to obey commands...but he was a servant anyway.

He couldn't really see any disadvantage to this. "What are yer thoughts on innocent bystanders?" he asked seriously, he had no problem killing an enemy but attacking innocents was something he wasn't willing to do. "I've got nothin to do with them." Luke replied slightly confused, the only people he liked fighting and beating up were those that came at him, not those that didn't do anything to him...he wasn't crazy after all.

"That's good." Cú nodded thoughtfully, a magus, yes that's what he believed Luke was, that was actually concerned about not doing anything to innocent bystanders, a magus that was practically radiating magical energy to some extent, a magus that fought with fists, this man seemed like his ideal master! It was someone he could guide towards the right path.

"So?" Luke asked with a calm look on his face, he wanted this guy as his servant. "I'll be yer guide then!" Cú announced resolutely, this magus would do for now. If he was a dishonorable fuck then Cú could only lament his own lack of insight since the man hadn't forced him at all.

"Great." Luke smiled in slight excitement, having a Caster servant would be great seeing as he could at least have his magic circuits activated like this, which would allow the use of Magecraft. Furthermore, he could also find out his own Origin which would grant him a power unique to himself. "Now ya know how to make it right?" Cú asked folding his arms, any Magus should be aware of contracting.

Luke smiled smugly, "Don't have a clue." he said almost proud of himself for it, he didn't know shit about magecraft after all! Cú looked at him slack jawed, "You weren't kidding?" he asked incredulously, this man wasn't a magus? "Yeah..no." Luke shrugged, he didn't even try to learn anything, but in his defense, it hadn't been a single day since he came here.

Cú facepalmed at the man who was to be his Master, he genuinely had no knowledge of magecraft! "At least, tell me you've activated your Magic Circuits?" is that was the case then, they could form the contract right now without need for further complications. All he got in response was a bland silent stare that said, 'No.'

Sighing in defeat, he shook his head helplessly, "C'mon, we should activate them in a more secluded area." he said with a sigh, why go so far? Well, he had already decided this man was going to be his new Master. The Hound of Ulster doesn't turn back on his words! "Let's go." Luke said nodding and turned in a direction completely opposite the one Cú was moving in making the Servant grin, this guy did know how to be a Master alright.....Now if only he had his spear.

Cú took on his spiritual form to preserve mana and followed behind Luke as he walked towards the forest around Ryuudou Temple. "What were you doin there though?" Cú asked curiously making Luke shrugged, "Lookin for Masters or Servants." he replied honestly, revealing this information would do more good than harm, it would build trust between the two.

"You know, you should be more careful with who you're revealin information to." Cú said with a sigh, he was a little too honest. Luke chuckled, "And you're gonna rat me out?" he questioned looking at the sky, crushing grass with each step. He had gone off the path and entered the woods. There were trees as far as the eye could see here making Luke nod in appreciation, nature had it's own place in his heart of hearts.

"I suppose not." Cú replied with a chuckle, this guy was something for sure. A few minutes of meaningless banter later, they had arrived at what Luke presumed was a place far off from civilization. "Here's good." Luke said nodding in confirmation, this place was as good as any. Once his Magic Circuits were activated, they could form the contract.

"Got it." Cú appeared behind him with a hand on his shoulder, he wasn't going to do unnecessary shit like have him lie down to ease the pain or something like that. Luke noticed that he didn't mention this fact as well but he was glad for it, a man takes pain head on! Pain and Injury were important parts of success and moving forward!

"Brace yourself." Cú said simply before running some magical energy through Luke's systems as the man grinned while also gritting his teeth in pain. Magic Circuits are 'opened' once magical energy is run through them for the first time and the feeling at that time is then used to activate them again by the magus himself and is called the "Trigger". Visually, activated magic circuits appear as a separate but visible system of nerves.

Luke's "Trigger" was him visualizing a lighter being lit, simple and easy. He himself was a simple man after all! Cú whistled in surprise, "The hell's this?" he muttered out looking at the sheer number of magic circuits Luke possessed, even then they were less surprising when compared to the Od this 'monster' had.

He was sure even this war's Saber had 1200-1800 units of Od, perk of being a Caster, but then again the girl was quite weakened. Luke however, had over 4000 units of Od. He could tell because he opened the Magic Circuits. This man had 100 Magic Circuits and the quality of those was no joke either. Each single one was capable of processing 100 units of Mana/Prana putting his maximum output somewhere North of 10,000 units of magical energy!

This was total bullshit!

Cú chuckled dryly, he was pretty sure some average magus would cry tears of blood if they saw the sheer capacity, amount and output Luke had. To say he lucked out with this guy, would be an understatement, with this monster supplying him with mana, he could spam his Noble Phantasm who knows how many times before even making the guy sweat.

After he informed Luke of the amount, Luke chuckled before it turned to full blown laughter. As expected of him, he was amazing in all departments! However, this reaffirmed his belief that transmigrating had in fact, altered his body as well. If he remembered correctly, Od was the energy produced by the body itself and was limited to humans, animals and similar living creatures. In simple terms, it was something like Chakra from Naruto and could be used for Magecraft. Once depleted, it would be refilled by the Magic Circuits automatically.

Prana/Mana was the natural magical energy present in the atmosphere and was used by Magus to perform spells in most cases. The amount that could be used at a time was determined by how much of it a person's Magic Circuits could handle and his could handle over 10,000 units of it, making him as Cú had said, "monster" by all means. Prana/Mana was raw energy which was given proper form by Magus through the use of spells.

Cú, just now noticed something off, and his eyes widened in shock, way too much, way too much Od was being concentrated in Luke's eyes at the moment and they had actually started glowing instead of the usual red color. "Oh Shit!" he quickly moved out of sight to protect himself from any immediate danger, after seeing the magic circuits on this guy he had reason to believe that it could be something detrimental to servants too.

"Huh." he remarked seeing nothing happened, he was sure the guy had Mystic Eyes.....maybe they were more buff oriented ones? Luke looked at him confused for a few moments before turning his gaze away as a nauseous feeling overtook him. "Hey you al....." Cú trailed off looking at the cracks on the ground.

The area shook, trees cracked, the ground was ripped apart, plants were uprooted, cracks spread over everything and in the next instant, it was almost as if everything within a certain radius was being forcefully distorted. That is until, everything did a full circle devastating a whole section of the forest. (A/N: A sample in the chapter comments)

"Holy shit." Cú looked at the destruction brought about by his Master with a slight smile on his face, it was nice having a strong Master. Luke forcibly shut down his Magic Circuits making the red lines going across his body disappear instantly and fell to his knees, before looking up with a grin on his face....

"Hot damn."
