Chapter 2: CH 2
"I won't allow this." A man who was in his mid-50s shouted.
"Your acceptance doesn't matter dad. I love my husband and son and if I have to choose between the house of Nyx or them, ill choose the latter." Replied Rhea with a determined face.
"Y-you imprudent brat"
Rhea's dad raised his hand to slap her but was startled by the dominant aura that was released from a man behind him. He was very familiar with this aura.
Rhea's dad turned and bowed down to that man. He was none other than Silas Hatzi patriarch of this family and Rhea's grandfather.
Silas Hatzi was in his 80s and one of the strongest humans alive in the universe.
Silas was standing in front of rhea while staring into her eyes he asked "Is this your final decision?"
"Yes," she answered without taking a second.
"Fine if that's what you want."
Listening to the patriarch answer everyone's jaw dropped. Everyone presents there had bewildered expressions on their faces.
Silas was known as a cruel man who would sacrifice anyone for the reputation of the family then why did he agree with Rhea's choice, everyone has this question in their mind. Obviously, they did not ask the patriarch as they have no guts to do that.
Even rhea was confused because she knew her grandfather's mentality but she left the room quickly before her grandfather would change his mind.
As soon as rhea left the room, Silas glared at his son with a murderous gaze. He waved his hand and the shadow below him moved to his son and grabbed him by his throat.
"You can't even control your own daughter you useless shit."
The pressure coming from his body was immense. Everyone presents in the room fell to their knee and some even shut their eyes and ear in fear.
"I'm sorry dad, please forgive me this time. I'll make sure to keep her under control."
Silas let go of his son's throat.
"Don't do anything useless. This time ill personally takes care of this situation. Call the Perils for the meeting. I have to personally apologize to them for breaking the marriage." saying this he left the room.
1 WEEK LATER
The perils arrived at Ardere through a teleportation portal. From the portal came an old man who was wearing a golden armor like the sun which shone brightly and was very beautiful. He was head of the peril family called 'Ran Peril'. Peril family was also famous by their other name 'House of Hestia' as their power was related to goddess Hestia.
Following him came his son who has an annoyed expression on his face. His name was Mike Peril, he was a guy with very high ego, since the age of 3 he thought himself as the superior being who was above all the others. He would always get what he wants from the female to luxury items etc. His father always taught him that if you want something that is not yours then steal it from other. When he first time meet Rhea at academy, he wanted her. It was not just an attraction, It was more of an obsession. When he heard about Rhea being married to some guy, he wanted to rip him apart. He wanted that man's head him front of him.
Silas welcomed them and brought them to his palace. Silas was good friends with Peril, in the past both fought together against the Demons and helped archangels.
"Did your daughter really marry someone without your permission? Looks like you fear among your family has decreased since you are getting old."
Ran mocked Silas. Though, this didn't anger him. He stood from his seat and walked towards the window where he saw his granddaughter playing with his son and replied,
"Don't worry, I promised you that your son will be married to Rhea which means he will get married to Rhea. I will not kill her husband because if he dies, she will rebel against me. Instead, I will make him a prisoner and with his life on the line she'll do everything I say."

Rhea was happy with her husband and son. Her son was 2 years old and rhea also had another good news, she was pregnant again.
This news angered the patriarch of the family but he pretended to be happy as he was about to execute his plan.
Rhea received a mission from patriarch personally but since she was pregnant, her husband decided to go in her place. It was a small mission which was supposed to be carried for 4 to 5 months. She wanted to stop her husband from going but he insisted on it. He wanted to make patriarch think that he is deserving person and not some weak guy who would always be under his woman's protection.
Rhea asked him to be safe during the mission to which her husband replied with a smile, "no need to worry dear, your father is personally accompanying me so I will be safe. There's no need to be worried."
Since then, 6 months passed, there was no news of Rhea's husband.
Rhea was getting impatient with each day passing. Then one day his father returned from the mission alone. She saw that her father was missing one arm and there were small scars on his face. Rhea asked him where is her husband to which he replied
"He was captured by the demons and is currently a prisoner at black water planet."
Black water was a planet were all the heinous criminals, fallen angel, vampires and other supernatural beings who were danger to humans were imprison.
Hearing her father's reply, she started laughing,
"HAHAHA...… do you really think I would believe your bullshits."
She suddenly rushed towards her father and kicked him on his calf's making him fall to his one knees and then she grabbed his head with both hands.
From her hands, a dark smoke started to manifest and it was seeping into her father's nose, eyes and ears. Rhea started seeing memories of his father during the mission.
She saw there was fight between her husband and father in which her husband dominated the fight and cut off her father's arm. Rhea's father then threaten him that if he doesn't give himself up then the patriarch himself will kill Rhea with his son and unborn child. He knew patriarch was very strong and neither he or Rhea was currently on the patriarch's level to defend themselves so he decided to give himself up.
Rhea's father then contacted to the keeper of the black water to take Rhea's husband and imprison him there. Later, he contacted patriarch and told him the whole situation to which patriarch replied,
"Good work."
