Chapter 11: Talent Appraisal
Looking at the familiar scene my heart was filled with nostalgia, i walked down the teleportation disc and entered the city, the whole city was lively and filled with tall buildings, this may be a backward kingdom but then also it is most powerful kingdom in the surrounding and technological development was of same level as that of earth.
Even though Arcania bursted into pieces it still had civilizations still residing on it and after millions of years of development the technological progress of the world is way higher than the Earth, this kingdom is considered a primitive kingdom in the world but then also it is way advance than the whole Earth.
I called a cab and went to most luxurious shopping mall in the city and bought a new pair of clothes and the only platinum grade storage ring they had, it sure sounds like wasting money but i assure you i am not wasting any money as the place I will be going has these clothing requirements as it is a place only for the rich.
I then went to have a haircut in a salon, after the haircut my looks have completely changed, stylish hairstyle with medium size hair which are now dyed white and beautiful pink eyes and wearing a luxurious suit, i smirked looking at my reflection in the mirror, in my previous life I didn't want to be recognisable in the game as many incidents of real life murder were reported in which enmity between the victim and the murderer were based on games, so i altered my looks at the start of the game to an average looking man and it was also one of the reasons i remained single my entire life.
I always wanted to dye my hair with a white colour but my parents didn't allowed it but after having in the game they won't complain to me.
I called a luxury car for myself as i can't buy any car, phone or such facilities without any identifications which i am yet to create.
I arrived at the tallest sky scrapper in the city and was greeted me with respect looking at the clothes i was wearing, i gone through a machine and manual check to see if I'm carrying any weapon with me and was asked to give them my storage ring as it is not allowed inside the building and i gladly let them have it.
This whole building belonged to the 'Adventurer's Organisation ' a million year old organisation formed after the death of Tyrant Azazel, the whole Arcania got blew up and how can its conciousness won't be angry, no mater what you are no one likes to get brutally harm because of someone else's disputes.
The seven strongest ones what everyone calls them, even if they were on right side she still enslaved them and as they were immortal all of the 7 strongest one became her eternal slaves and started this organisation for helping out players by relaying things Arcania provides and maintaining peace in the world.
Every kingdom is necessary to have atleast one of these buildings, the main headquarters of this organisation is situated in the biggest country of the whole world at United Refredia Empire(URE).
It may be an organisation for maintaining peace in the world and helping players but in truth it only helps 'good players' who are wealthy and have high talent, in my previous life many people wanted to check out on the building went to enter it but the guards humiliated them as they weren't wearing nice outfits, as i said in this world only respected people are either those who are rich or powerful.
I entered the first floor of the building and went to reception desk,
"Hello Sir, how may I help you?"
"Hello I'm here for my talent appraisal and want to register myself as an Adventurer"
"Yes sir, would you like private appraisal or public"

I took out the amount she mentioned to me and gave it to her.
"Yes Sir, please follow me"
She stood up and began to walk and i followed her we entered a giant room, it was full of futuristic machines and equipments, i wasn't surprised as i already have been here and seen more futuristic devices, all of the equipments here are made in URE whose technological feats are way more than this kingdom.
I stood in front of a large crystal and put my hand on it and as i put i got a weird feeling in my hand and a holographic screen popped up in front of me

"Sir, would you like to register your talent in our database?"
"No I don't want to"
"Ok sir please follow me to another room to create your ID"
I let her lead me to the next room, the difference between public and private appraisal were that public appraisals cost less and data will be recorded in the database and anyone who gives money can view it, whereas in private though they are more expensive but we have option to choose not to record it.
Inside the room i sat on a chair which seemed a bit like advance machinery, this was a lie detector test and everyone who wants to make Adventurer's card have to go through it.
"Sir can you please tell me your name"

The receptionist looked at me with wary,
"Don't worry it's not any taboo race, i just want to keep it a secret"
"Oh ok"
The taboo races are what you can say an evil race, they are some races which are said to be taboo by the world as they are dangerous or someone of it has done any grave crime which is written down in the annals of history and always tend to create chaos in the society. These races are very few and are continuously hunted down by the adventures and are not allowed to register as an Adventurer.
I don't want my race of spirit emperor known to the world as it would cause a a lot of commotion, it is a lost race which is either extinct or lives in seclusion and haven't been seen for trillions of years.
When the Arcania was first born the first race she created was spirit race and it's opposite ghoul race.
The spirit race is responsible for maintaining nature and ghoul for its destruction, both of the races are each other's enemy and exact opposite.
The spirit race are most noble and talented race in the world and is very loved by Arcania especially the spirit emperor race a race which is born to rule the spirits with all of their best traits.
The spirit race is said to be extinct but in future people find out the region they lived at but after spirit clan asked them to leave them alone everyone backed off, spirit race is highest and most noble race and in some places even worshipped, the alien who choose the spirit race was also given an offer to become the pope of the holy land, the biggest religious organisation of the Arcania and he took up on it. The god which prayed to was obviously Arcania, She is the only True God of the world and created all of the races but she disdains all the creatures who aren't part of spirit clan and didn't give a shit about what the world and only interferes in the matter when things get on her nerves.
The rest of the test went on with questions that are there any legal charges ever placed on me, and other things and my registration was completed and i recieved an Adventurer's card which was linked with the bank account i opened in the Adventures Organisation.
Adventurer's Organisation also serves as a bank, the biggest and most prestigious bank in the world and transferred all of my gold in it.
Why? Because we all the players will drop every item we have on our body once we die in the game and money too that's why it is advisable for put it in the bank, but my biggest reason is that after merger all our advantages as game will be gone and the gold coins too if they are not materialised before the game.
No matter how many coins you have on you, if you don't get them out of status they will all disappear that's why it is advisable to store them in the banks, it caused a lot of problems for those who didn't have any bank accounts and were forced to live in poverty.
I'm now a H grade 9 adventurer the lowest grade, the Adventurer's are divided from H,G,F,E,D,C,B,A,S,SS,SSS and EX ranks with 9 stages in each of them, the humans in my last life just reached D grade in 30 years and the true strong and most influential Adventurers of the world are at EX and SSS grade.
For improving your rank you need to clear quests issued by the guild.
After recieving the caed i bade farewell to the receptionist and entered the third floor which is for shopping and why obviously for getting my occupation and vice profession.
