A few minutes back.
As Izanami fell unconscious after Shun released the seal locking up her spiritual energy, she opened her eyes to find herself standing on a sea, similar to an ocean.
'This must be my spiritual energy, wow, it is enormous. And I must be in my mindscape. Mine is small though. I've seen aunt Ria's and it's almost impossible to see the end, and according to her, papa's own is even more spacious.'
Although she couldn't feel the depth of the sea, she instinctively felt that the amount was large enough.
'Now what to do? Father didn't say anything about this. Hmm? Something is wrong.'
As she was thinking of how to go about this, she felt a certain pressure acting on the walls of her mindscape.
Crack
The wall of her mindscape continued to shake and crack marks began to appear.
Crack
The cracks continued to propagate and she immediately thought of something.
'Can I meditate and stop this? But if I stop this wouldn't it be detrimental? I don't know about this and papa never told us anything about this. But if it's similar to how those cultivators breakthrough, then breaking this and rebuilding it would be the best course of action.'
As she was thinking this, the mindscape finally reached its limits and subsequently shattered
'Oh no... Well, here goes nothing.'
Boom
The mindscape cracked and she felt a searing pain from deep within her very consciousness. It felt like her brain was being pierced by tiny needles and she couldn't do anything about it.
She managed to grit her teeth and tried to ignore the pain. Shun always told her that pain is merely an illusion borne from the mind but she was currently in her mind so the pain was unbearable.
Although she found it unbearable, she still managed to keep a clear mind to observe what was going on.
As she looked at the sea in her mindscape, she saw it flowing out from the place the landscape shattered.
Bearing the pain, she plunged herself into the sea to allow herself to be carried.
She didn't know why she did this, she only felt that the pain would lessen if she did this and she followed her feeling.
As she plunged into the sea of spiritual energy, she felt her entire being refreshed. Her mind cleared up and she couldn't feel the pain any longer.
She felt a little lethargic for a moment before the feeling left her. She further submerged herself into the pool of energy and allowed it to carry her along.
As she flowed with the pool, she suddenly felt like she could see every nook and cranny of her body, even to the tiniest detail.
She felt surreal at the feeling it made her feel like she was looking at the night skies. Her body gave her the feeling of a God overseeing its creation.
Every cell, vein, organ organism, and blood vessel. Everything in her body appeared in her brain like data and she didn't feel confused about any of them. She instinctively knew what they were and their role in her body.
"Wow. Papa and mama must feel like this whenever they meditate, and aunt Ria too. And they've locked this away from me." She said to herself.
As the energy continued flowing through her body, she suddenly looked to an area and felt another sea of energy rushing toward her direction.
"What is that!?" She exclaimed in horror.
If the energy she was flowing with can be called flexible, calm, and easygoing, the energy coming toward her was the direct opposite. It gave her the feeling of sturdiness and rigidity like every other thing should give way to it.
Unfortunately for her, she couldn't control the direction in which the spiritual energy was flowing and before she could come up with a plan of action, they collided.
Agh!... Ah?
She screamed in horror at what would possibly cause her pain, but surprisingly, she didn't feel anything apart from a slight shift.
'What's going on?' She thought as she felt around her once more.
This time, she felt herself in another environment dissimilar to the previous one and also not the one she felt colliding with her spiritual energy.
As she felt this new energy deeper, she found that both the gentle and mild spiritual energy and the sturdy and rigid energy from before were mixed in this new sea but she didn't know what it was. Also, she didn't feel safe with this energy.
She felt that any careless action could lead to her possible demise. How she came to that conclusion baffled her.
'This must be the essence energy from my physical body. Papa said once physical energy comes from their body so this must be it. Also, this rigid feeling I'm getting from it is similar to what I feel from brother whenever we fight.'
As she reached that conclusion, she suddenly startled and looked around her once more.
'This... This couldn't be my chakra now, could it?'
This conclusion caused her to almost squirm in escexcitementt something suddenly struck her.
'If this is my chakra, why do I feel danger from it? This is not how it's supposed to be. Something Is wrong. Could I have been wrong somewhere?"
As she was deep in thought, she suddenly felt another foreign energy pouring into her body from nowhere. Nowhere because she couldn't determine the source, she only felt it suddenly came from nowhere.
This new energy gave her a homely feeling. It was she was back in her mother's embrace after a session of hard training from her father.
It felt soothing for lack of better word.
As she reveled in this feeling, she suddenly heard.
"Nagi, Nami, ...."
"Papa?" She asked confused at the sudden voice.
"If you can hear me....."
She heard Shun's instruction and immediately knew what went wrong. She shouldn't have left her mindscape in that horrid condition and it seems like Shun already knows what is going on.
As she thought of those weird cultivators Shun always made her read, she realized what she had to do.
It wasn't that this energy was dangerous to her, it was that the energy was too volatile, chakra itself is a combination of both energies and is meant to be used with proper control.
Lack of control or worse still, no control at all when handling chakra could lead to dire consequences. Worse still, she was in her body where chakra is overflowing. One mishap could lead to an internal injury.
As she analyzed this all, she calmed herself down and remembered that feeling she felt when she submerged into her spiritual energy and tried to gather all the energy currently around her into a ball.
She learned this from the books Shun gave her and when she asked why they always do this, Shun always replied, "They need to create a foundation for their future energy. This stage is a stage where all the cultivator's essence is brought as one and formed into a core. You'll understand in the future when that time comes, you'll know"
She felt that the time for that was right now. Although she doesn't have a practical example to learn from, she felt that all she had to do was gather all these chaotic energies into a ball.
With this thought, she started controlling the strands of energy she could come in contact was covering with to form a sphere around her.
Althdoneb she felt herself being covered by these energies, she wasn't alarmed, instead, she continued. As time passed, the rate at which she gathered these strands of energy became faster.
As she felt her control over the strands of energy increase, she did what her father told her to do and sent several strands to her mindscape.
These strands of energy contained all three energies present in the world and more. This other was the World's essence, though she wasn't aware of it. Only Shun had an inkling that this energy existed.
{A/N; In case you're confused about the World's Essence I used there, dint bother thinking too much about it. I'll explain it in upcoming chapters}
This energy that went to her mindscape immediately resumed work as soon as they entered. Due to her will or intent to heal and strengthen her mindscape, these strands of energy started doing just that.
They broke down the remnants of her mindscape and began creating a new one.
This new one was larger, sturdier, and more beautiful. The walls of the mindscape had a mixture of colors and were spacious enough to be called a sea of consciousness.
After the construction was done, the energy remaining was abysmal compared to the size of the mindscape but she felt it was alright. After all, as far as she still exists, she would recover.
As that was taken care of, she resumed creating her very own chakra core.
She noticed a substantial difference in her refining speed. With her mindscape repaired, there was better communication between her and the energy around her and with that, the speed increased.
...
It was unknown how long it took for her to form her core but to those outside, close to 4 hours had passed.
As Shun was knowledgeable on the inner workings of cultivation, he knew that should they take the core route or by a route at all that has to do with refining energy, it would take time for them to accomplish it.
With that thought in mind, Shun created a pavilion with his wood release and created enough seats for everyone to make themselves comfortable.
Shun opted to cook for them to which they were overjoyed. Ashura and Indra's children had been looking for their parents and in order not to set off any panic, Shun brought them here.
After the meals, they began discussing things pertaining t various subjects of which Shun was the main speaker.
A lot of questions were thrown and Shun answered them to the best of his ability.
Shun then subtly brought up the idea of puppetry to Hamura. It was a known fact that the possessor of the Tenseigan could possess a puppet body more easily than a Rinnengan user, so Shun brought it up.
Hagoromo and Hamura we're interested in the topic, unlike the others. Indra was only interested in things that could make him stronger, Ashura was barely interested in anything, Kanna and Miyako, and Hanami, Hinami's mother discussed their lady's things together with Hinami and Ria.
Hinami and Ria used the opportunity to show off their prowess in the medical field. Ria with her healthy poisons and Hinami with her potions.
Hokuki was surprisingly interested In the medical talks being held by Hinami and Ria.
Hinami even created a beauty-maintaining potion sometime back and was currently showing it off.
Shun once asked, "Why do you even bother with that if you'll never get old?"
And she replied in one simple sentence, "You never know, Shun, You never know."
Well, currently, her mother, Kanna, and Miyako were interested in it so... whatever.
The children were with Shun's clone who was telling them exciting scenes from the various manga in his head. The clone would sometimes use illusions to show some scenes.
As all this was going on, the transformation of the two kids was almost coming to an end. Shun could feel it Haoromo too. Even Hamura could feel something different from the two kids.
To them, it felt like a bloodline similar to theirs and their mother was being awakened in the children while something even stronge was merging with it.
'I can feel something from the kids, Shun'
Shun heard Kaguya from his mindscape.
'Hmm? What's that?" He asked confused. After all, the only thing he could feel from the children was an aura similar to his own and if he were to someecukate, they were awakening something from his bloodline.
'I don't know, but I feel it has a connection to me somehow.' Kaguya said.
'Well, they're your great-grandchildren soo...'
'Well, you're right, but I think this may be because of you.' Kaguya said.
'Well, of course. They're probably awakening their eyes, or their body would become immortal like me or they would form a chakra core or even open the entire inner gate.' Shun went on in pride.
Kaguya sighed and said with a slight smile, 'It's not that, but maybe... I think your gene is merging with the Otsutsuki in them and creating a new bloodline.'
'Oh? Isn't that great then?" He asked. His pride becomes even more pronounced.
'It is, quite great, in fact. They may have a higher bloodline than the Otsutsukis but it remains o be seen if they will be immortal like the Otsutsukis. They'd eventually die someday.' Kaguya said, telling him the hard truth.
Shun's joy Immediately plummeted. He had forgotten the issue of his immortality as It relates to his children. He may live forever but they won't. They will indeed have their own lives and decide whether they want to grow old and die or they want to live forever.
'It'll be their choice Shun said curtly.
'Yeah' Kaguya said, ending the topic, they both looked at the kids lying on the bed, each to their own thought.
