Chapter 27: Terrorist(2)
Ayaka yawns as she lies on the couch, swiping through her social media on her phone. She looks at the clock on the wall and realises it is 10 pm.
"I should get to bed soon," she mumbles. The television opposite the couch is switched on, broadcasting a drama that Ayaka enjoys watching.
Suddenly, the show is interrupted by an emergency announcement.

A loud blasting repetitive audio plays and a screen telling the viewers to stand by slides up.
Ayaka places her phone down and raises her brow.
The "stand by" screen cuts and a group of news reporters is shown, a man and a woman. The man stares at the camera with a bleak expression before his colleague says "We apologize for the sudden interruption, this is an emergency announcement issued by the Minister of Defence and Hero Association. Several groups of terrorist attacks have occurred throughout Japan, killing thousands. From live reports, they seem to be utilising modified viruses that were created by the deceased 'Villain of Plague' and everyone is advised to return home and avoid opening windows; try to seal your home and allow only small gaps of ventilation."
*THUD!*
Ayaka jumps up in shock as she accidentally knocks on the coffee table in front of the couch.
Her eyes wide open and mouth dropped, she glares at the television, unable to decide if she should be shocked or furious. All this time, Ayaka has been fighting for the sake of her brother to create a safe world. She thought she was one step closer when the Villain of Plague died yet another group utilizing the very same method that terrorized the world appears.
She grits her teeth and clenches her fist in rage.
"The authorities are working with the Hero Association to mitigate the situation but the country will go into a short complete lockdown. Food will be sent to every household and we promise that the situation will return to normal in a few days." The man adds to the announcement and both people bow at the screen.
Ayaka's phone rings and she checks it. It is an order for Ayaka's presence from her superiors.
Without hesitation, Ayaka slips on a pair of jeans and covers herself with a coat before running out of her house.
However...just as she steps out of her apartment.

Ayaka detected something from above and jumps aside.
*BOOM!*
A sharp javelin materialized of pure sapphire pierced Ayaka's original location.
"Three...no four hostile enemies," Ayaka mumbles as she quickly shoots her gaze around her.
As she waits for their next move, nothing came.

She realises the enemies are stalling for time. She bites her lips as veins pop up on her head. The situation is currently very bad for her as she is unable to use her full strength for innocent civilians near her will be caught as collateral damage.
Ayaka then realises these people are in cahoots with the terrorist but something is off. As Ayaka tries to materialise heaps of water in the atmosphere, someone shoots out a neon pulse in an attempt to mess up her preparation.
"Found you." Says Ayaka as she shoots pillars of a downpour at her enemy.
*BOOOOM!*
After the smoke clears up, a hemispherical metal envelops the area.
Yet, another hell of tsunami pours on the metal with great power and pressure continuously. A crack appears on the hemisphere shield. Two enemies are inside the hemisphere and the other two are on standby. Soon, the two on stand-by jump in, one grows exponentially into a giant monster and the other pulls back a bow she materialized out of a thin air.
However, a slap of water throws the two away. nevertheless, Ayaka's instinct screams at her to duck and she did, dodging another sapphire javelin. the two captives have escaped. The man sends a pulse around him and his allies glow in red while Ayaka glows in blue.
"A debuff..." Ayaka feels heavier and there is interference in her energy core. The lady shoots consecutive bright yellow arrows at Ayaka, the giant man charge to ram Ayaka, and the last man's body turns into hard grey steel before he leaps in. They have perfect team coordination but...
Ayaka raises her hand and squeezes her fist tightly together.
*WHOOSH!!***
The four attackers instantly lose control of their bodies and something pulls each of them together, slamming their bodies. The light arrows were also instantly overwhelmed by water in their path.
"Did you forget? Your body is mostly made up of water too." Ayaka says, glaring at them.
The woman with the bow and light arrows smiles. "As expected of an SSS rank and tier."
Without a doubt, the attackers have an A-rank power at most and seem illogical to be sent as she is an SSS Tier. Ayaka did not put any further thought into it and walks toward the four attackers. Each of them is nervous. But it isn't because of Ayaka, it's because they are preparing for suicide terrorism.
Once Ayaka is close enough, each of them taps their gloves 2 times on the ground and the body suit underneath their clothes starts to inject a green substance into their body. The unaware Ayaka walks closer and grabs the lady's face. "Who sent you?" She asks.
The attacker forces a smile on her face and says a brief "Death."
"Huh-"
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!*
Right in front of Ayaka, the four attackers detonate into cloudy green dust.
"ARGH! ACK!!!" Ayaka groans when the dust enters her body. She quickly trudges out of the abominable nano killer and falls to the floor, although her body is resistant to the virus, it doesn't mean she won't feel anything.
Ayaka quickly gathers water and instantaneously sanitizes the entire area and eliminates all the virus. Afterwards, she pulls herself up and trudges back into the apartment, sits in the lobby and circulates her powers all around her body to detoxify the virus.
Only after 15 minutes did she successfully do so. But by then, it might already be too late.
