Chapter 2: Innocent Lavender

17 years later...

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city in the countryside of Ebonie.

Hidden within the deep seraphim forest lived a Girl named lavender Wright, a seventeen-year-old beautiful girl with her Grandma Emily Wright and Her Grandpa Joseph Wright.

The family of three lived in a beautiful cottage. The walls of the cottage were brownish which complement the ivy green vines which covered half of the cottage the walls. There was a very beautiful vegetable garden with fresh green vegetables growing in them. On the other side of the cottage, there were many different flowers were planted. By the number of lavender flowers, you can tell the cottage owner's love for lavender. The small animals like rabbits, Deer, sheep, and lambs were basking in sunlight comfortably enjoying the comfortable embrace of nature.

The beautiful singing of nightingale birds and a flying group of Butterflies gave this beautiful scenery a more breathtaking view.

Inside the cottage, an elderly woman who looked near seventy years old with a kind face full of wrinkles which represent vicissitudes of life was sitting on a bamboo chair with another equally old age man whose face also was full of wrinkles but much more energetic than his wife was sitting together and eyes full of love and adoration was looking at their little granddaughter who was currently engrossed in her own world of the book.

The innocent girl maybe was been the only human who was not tainted by the corruption of her kind, Just like a pure white lotus in mud. Her round face with still some baby fat on it with her blue sapphire eyes which always lit with happiness to her pure white skin which was smooth as a new peeled white boiled egg and her small cute nose to her luscious small petal-like pink lips you can imagine how beautiful she was. Her dark black hair that cascaded down to her lower back like pure black silk made her beauty more ethereal. But, such an ethereally beautiful face was ignorant to her own beauty which can cause the downfall of any country. Her innocent and naïve mind was only filled with playing piano, painting, baking with her grandma, tending fruits and vegetables, feeding chickens and sheep, and fishing with her grandpa.

Every day breathing in the fresh scents of the forests, picking her favorite flower, and decorating them in her cottage with small vases was her favorite thing in the early morning. Sometimes taking her nature walks, meets her little animal friends, especially spending time with her big brother Jacob who was just 6 months older than her but still a bit annoying brother whom she can only meet once a month. She knew he was a werewolf but still her love for animals and plants was like her natural instinct so she was not afraid of him but she still shed lots of tears when she saw her brother who was transforming into a human for the first time. The voice of cracking bones of his body made her shriek in pain.

She also absolutely adored spending her time with her Grandparents whom she called nana and nene with love. They were her only family whom she loved dearly for the past seventeen years.

Lavender never knew who her parents were and her grandparents also never talked about her biological parents. Sometimes she really very badly wants to know who they are, where they are and so on but she never asked her Nana and Nene about them. She thought if her grandparents didn't want to tell her about them then it may be for her own good. She absolutely trusts them and why not they have taken care of her for so many years with so much love and care.

Because of the overprotectiveness of her grandparents, she was homeschooled by her grandma who was once a professor at the famous University of Elbonia. Other basic knowledge she learned was from the help of the internet.

Her grandparents were careful enough to not let her watch any inappropriate content on the internet. The books they allow her to read were some simple romance stories with minimum inappropriate content. She also had little knowledge about Supernatural races.

That's why She loves to spend her spare time with her books. From romance to scientific and mythological all types of stories she really loved to read but she was a big fan of reading mythological novels. Other than reading books, she also loved painting. Her life-like painting skills were so beautiful and skilled that sometimes Nana and Nene would fight with each other for her painting and she would happily watch them bickering.

Lavender learned painting skills from her grandpa. She still remembers when she was six or seven years old her Grandpa started teaching her his painting skills because whenever her grandpa start painting little lavender would always sit with her grandpa and kept watching him whenever he was painting and would be tried to keep her concentration on grandpa's hand moved out of curiosity. After her grandpa finished his painting she would constantly ask alot of questions.

At first, her grandpa thought that little lavender was just curious for a moment later she will definitely forget everything just like other normal six or seven-year-old kid so he simply answered her questions with a few sentences that "Painting is not a child's play, you will not understand even if I answer your questions," but little lavender would daily sit with her Grandpa asked questions about his painting. Sometimes she also tried to imitate but failed miserably but she didn't get discouraged and tried again and again. Her grandpa was shocked by her preservence and dedication to painting. He also saw her childish imitations of his paintings but despite being childish lavender's paintings had a different charm, then he knew that his granddaughter had seriously taken great interest in painting and she also has great talent in painting so he started teaching her his every skill as much as he knew.

Maybe she had a natural talent for painting so she learned her Nana's all painting skills within a year. Lavender loved painting because expect her Grandparents, brother, and her little forest animal friends she never had interaction with any other person. So whenever she felt lonely or sad she always tried to convey her thoughts through her paintings by pouring all her negative and positive emotions into them. The best thing about painting is she loved the way colors blend with each other and give birth to such beautiful paintings. Just like her life which was also filled with so much serenity.

And little lavender was content with this tranquil and blissful life with her Grandparents.

But still, she felt lonely like something important or very dear part of her soul was somewhere out there looking for her and crying in the agony of pain and it hurts but her naive mind still couldn't understand where these emotions came from. But she would daily wish that whoever is in so much pain may God help her/him. At night she would talk to the moon because in her opinion moon is the only source that they both can somehow connect.

Her grandparents had kept her hidden so well away from the world's hidden cruelty that in her heart she would only see the goodness in person no matter how cruel they are. In her opinion, they should be given a second chance to atone for their sins. While reading stories where it ends with the happy ending of the main characters with the villain's death, she would always feel bad for villains who died without giving a second Chance for their mistakes. In her opinion, nobody is born bad sometimes the lack of love or circumstances of their life changed their view in way of living.

Whenever her grandparents listened to her innocent opinion regarding this they can only shake their heads in regret that this was the result of their too much protection limited her knowledge of the reality of the world's darkness and but they also wished that she always remain the same so pure, so innocent with full of kindness at least there would be someone who will shine like pure light in this dark world.

They knew that they can't keep this gem hidden forever from the world. Because she was born to shine like a gem in many people's dark world. They knew she was very very special in every way.
