Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Snow Man In Hell
The elevator door opened to the light as the dark man stepped out. His eyes were dim and filled with intimidation. Bodyguards, maids, and everyone in his domain acknowledge his presence by bowing their heads. He stood with pride and power. He started walking towards the doors that held his prey as Bennett followed strictly behind him. He wanted to know, he was curious, he was furious, he was dared.
The doors were opened quickly by the bodyguards that stood in front of it as he walked swiftly into the room with Bennett still following behind. The employees, male and female stood in awe of him. He was there. Nicholas Alviero Ross, in flesh and blood.
He looked at the faces of his prey, their faces were bent to the floor. No one dared to look at his eyes for they held hell and torture. He walked passed them and walked towards the seat that held power and was made just for him. He sat down satisfied that he had fed his curiosity, now it was time for torture.
"How brave are you?" His deep voice filled the dead silent room.
The employees were still standing with their heads faced down, they were filled with fear. They shivered for they knew what he was capable of.
"State your purposes". He said feeling irritated by their silence. One of them gathered the courage to find her voice as she started.
"J.k enterprises has demanded cooperation and is seeking a meeting before the end of the month to sign the contract".
The next person stated right after she finished. "The new hotel building in France has been completed and its opening day is in a week".
Nicholas raised his left brow.
Another employee walked forward. "We have recorded an incredible increase in demand for the latest automobile and a massive increase in profits".
His face had no expressions at all. Bennett was still in grief as he saw that Nicholas was not pleased with all.
The last person walked forward. "Miss McKay just arrived in the country". He paused. Bennett noticed. 'Why has he suddenly become stiff?' Bennett thought. He didn't utter a word for a few seconds.
"You may all leave". Nicholas concluded. Bennett's mouth dropped open and was aroused with shock.
What just happened?
Bennett was so confused. Earlier his master almost slit his throat into two and threatened to punish those poor employees and now he's all stiff and cold. The Nicholas Ross he knows derives joy in the pain of others, but this Nicholas is not in his right state of mind. Something has caught his attention. He got this way after that name was mentioned. It was the name of a lady. Miss McKay.
Who is miss McKay?
Bennett's mind wandered. And why is his master this way because of her? Bennett couldn't put two and two together. He couldn't say his master was in love because it can't ever happen. The day Nicholas falls for a woman would be the day they built a snowman in hell. But still, who is she, and what had she done to him? Bennett thought over and over again.
"You may leave, Bennett". Nicholas spoke calmly.
