Chapter 6: Chapter 6:- Surviving in Apocalypse [re-edited chapter]
I have made a mistake in the MC's agility which should have been 26 instead of 19.

"What I can do? Earlier I had exhausted almost all of my mana. My mana has not recovered so I cannot use that flashy move to distract the horde of zombies. Stupid Mortal, use your little brain of yours and think of something. You're familiar with this world so you must know some way out of this chase."
"Hey! Don't call me stupid. You're a stupid goddess." Aditya for some reason felt offended when the Goddess herself called him Stupid.
Strangely Selene did not reply. She instead gritted her teeth and tightly clenched her fists in anger. "If I had even a fraction of my power, the first thing I would have done was to kill you." No mortal has ever dared to talk to the Moon Goddess in a such disrespectful manner. Even though she let Aditya use her name, it does not mean that she has given this mortal permission to disrespect her.
'Just you wait. Hateful human. Once I recover my powers, the first thing that I will do will be to make you my slave. I will continue to bully you till you die.' Of course, Aditya has no way of knowing what the Goddess was thinking in her mind. Even if he knew about her thoughts, Aditya just would have laughed.
"Goddess, if you have the energy to say these kinds of words, then why don't you run a little faster? Because I might not wait for you." Selene shot a glare at Aditya. She knew that his hateful human was purposely provoking her. At this moment she was running at her full speed. She cannot run any faster than this.
Another group of zombies stood in Aditya and Selene's way. The Moon Goddess Selene who already was angry with this stupid mortal took out her frustration by killing 11 zombies in a few seconds.
Meanwhile, Aditya after killing a few low-rank zombies continued moving forward. While running around, Aditya looked at his right and his left; searching for a place where they can temporarily take shelter and hide.
"I swear if I find that bike rider, I will feed him to the zombies." Aditya and Selene wouldn't have been stuck in this situation if that bike rider had no attracted zombies with the sound of his motorbike.
"I agree with you Human. I swear on my divinity. I will burn that mortal to death." For some Selene and Aditya agreed on something together.
The chase continued for another 15 minutes. If it was the Aditya of the past then he already would have been forced to take a break after running for a few minutes. But now that Aditya's stats have improved a lot, he now can run for 15 minutes at his full speed without needing to stop. This itself showed just how much Aditya's physical stats improved. Right now, it won't be any problem for the current Aditya to defeat the fastest athlete on earth before the apocalypse.
Turning around, Aditya noticed that the horde of zombies was about 100 meters away from them. Slowly but surely the distance between the zombies and Aditya and Selene was increasing. But after running for 15 minutes straight, Aditya was running to feel his legs get sore. He was beginning to reach his limit which was something that he did not wish for it to happen.
Meanwhile, the condition of the Moon Goddess was even worse. Right now the previous 10 meters distance between her and Aditya has increased to become a distance of 20 meters. The Goddess was getting slower as she was running out of stamina to continue flying.
"Stupid Human, wait for me." The Goddess breathed heavily. Without her strength, even her body was weak as the humans. The only thing things that she retained as her natural ability to fly using stamina and her ability to summon the moonlight.
"Goddess, I can't wait for you." Aditya can't even enter any of the buildings or houses as those entrances were filled with a big crowd of zombies. If they weren't being chased by a horde of zombies, Aditya might have stopped and fought his way through but right now stopping and fighting zombies wasn't an option.
"Stupid Human, I have something that I will offer but only if you promise that you will protect me." Hearing these words, Aditya raised his right eyebrow before starting to slow down so that he can match her pace.
"What promise? You better not make some ridiculous or impossible to do promises." Aditya warned in a cold tone.
"Hmph! What do you mean by ridiculous promise? This Goddess just wants you to protect her in exchange this Goddess will give you her blessing."
"And how exactly your blessings are supposed to help this lowly human?" Aditya sarcastically asked back.
Selene gritted her teeth in anger. Aditya's words once again have made the Goddess angry. "Human, don't underestimate this Goddess. Back in my prime, even Kings kneeled before me to receive my blessing. Although I have lost all of my powers, I am still the Goddess of the Moon. Right now my blessing is not powerful as it used to be, but it should help us in this situation."
It was not like Aditya had any other choice in this situation. He and Selene were almost out of stamina. "Alright. I promise I will protect you from the zombies."
Selene nodded with a satisfied smile. This was the first time the Moon Goddess was going to bless someone after a billion years. All those beings whom she had blessed previously had long died.
Aditya looked up to see the Goddess was flying right above his head. The Goddess's body was blocking the cold rain that showed no signs of stopping.
[I, Selene, The Moon Goddess, have decided to bless the mortal named Aditya.] Just as she finished saying these words, her entire body started glowing in bright white light. Right now the intense light that radiated from her body looked like the light of the moon.
The bright light was so intense that Aditya was forced to close his eyes for a few seconds. When he closed his eyes, he felt warm energy entering his body. At the same time, he felt his body get lighter and stronger. The exhaustion that he felt from running was washed away.
[Ding! The host has obtained the Blessing of Moon Goddess.]

Huff! Huff!
"Human you better protect me otherwise I will never forgive you." Aditya stopped running hearing the Goddess's exhausted and breathless voice. When he stopped, he saw the Goddess had closed her eyes and was falling down. Before she can fall down, Aditya easily caught her.
Aditya gently took the Goddess in his arms. He stopped being bothered about the zombies that were chasing after them. He instead looked at the peaceful sleeping face of the Goddess with a small smile. "Stupid Goddess, you could have blessed me when the zombies started chasing us. That way you wouldn't have to run this much." After saying that Aditya moved some of the black hair that covered her face.
"Since I have promised to protect you, I will keep my promise with my life." Aditya looked back, the zombies were still 60 meters away from them. Now that he has received a boost of [15+] in his stats, he had twice as strong as before.
Aditya tightened the muscles on his legs. After taking a deep breath, he shot forward. When he started running the horde of zombies was left behind. The distance between him and the zombies rapidly kept on increasing.
'Now my stats has officially surpassed the 30 mark.'

'After reaching level 9, it has become very hard to level up. I have killed over 29 zombies while being chased by the horde of zombies. Yet I am still nowhere close to leveling up. The amount of Experience points that I get from the zombies is too low. I will need to fight strong opponents if I want to level up.' When Aditya looked back, the horde of zombies was now 200 meters away from him.
But in front of him, there were more than ten thousand cars which had crowded the whole road. All of those cards had some sort of accident. Worst of all, the card drivers and the passengers had been turned into a zombie and now were blocking the road.
'I can't continue running forward.' While running Aditya looked at his right and left. After looking around for a moment, Aditya made a decision and changed his direction. On the left side of the road, there was a 20-floor tall building. The building was smaller compared to those tall skyscrapers.
Just like Aditya expected the entrance of the building was crowded with more than hundreds of zombies. These zombies were mostly the residents, the security guards, and the people who were near the building when the apocalypse started.
Aditya started running toward the 20-floor tall building. His intention wasn't to fight the 100 zombies that were blocking the entrance.
Aditya while carrying the goddess in his arms, ran to the alley next to the building. After reaching the alley, just like he had expected, the alley also had several zombies aimlessly walking around.
The zombies began running in Aditya's direction when they heard the footstep.
Aditya without caring about the zombies used his Shadow Manipulation skill. If any human were to see this scene then they would die from shock. 1-meter wide black vine came out of the ground and wrapped itself around Aditya's waist. Then the black vine kept on rising from the ground, increasing its height and length to 10 meters. Under Aditya's careful control the black vine took Aditya all the way to the third floor.
Bang!
Without any hesitation, Aditya used the sword in his right hand to break the glass window and enter the building with Selene. Just as Aditya entered the building, the black vine slowly faded away.
Aditya found himself in a bedroom. He wasn't sure if there were any zombies in this apartment. So after putting Selene on the bed, he slowly walked out of the room to find 3 zombies who were aimlessly walking in the living room.
"These three must have been the family that lived in this apartment." Aditya sighed in his heart before dashing toward the zombies and killing them with three strikes.
After killing the zombies, Aditya used his strength to throw all three of the zombies outside the building through the window.
He then went on to search the entire apartment to make sure that there were no other zombies inside the apartment. After carefully locking the door and placing some heavy objects next to the door, Aditya finally sighed in relief.
"Finally I can have some peace." With a white cloth, Aditya removed the blood of the zombies that were on the floors.
After a small cleaning, he went back to check on the Goddess.
"It looks like she will be sleeping for a while." Aditya is not sure how long the Goddess is going to sleep but it was clear that she was very tired after using her blessing on Aditya. "If not for her blessing, then both of us might have died."
"The problem is, without her, I can't take out the foods inside the storage ring. I hope I can find some food in the refrigerator." After carefully covering the Goddess with a blanket, Aditya closed the door and left to make himself something to eat.
"I wonder how many billions of people have been turned into zombies"
