Chapter 26
Collecting Horcruxes
After a week of relaxing at home, Harry decided it was time to go take a look at the old Gaunt house.
"Lorry, ill be gone for a few hours. I'll try to be back for dinner."
"Understood Master. Have a good trip." The elf gave a quick bow.
Harry took out his wand and prepared himself. He hasn't used apparition in a very long time.
'Well, here we go.'
Harry moved his wand and hoped for the best.

Even during day time, the Gaunt house looked very creepy. Like those old haunted houses that people like to use in horror stories.
Harry apparated right outside the front door of the house. He needed to disable the protections before going inside.
He started speaking chants in parseltongue. In order to make the house more secure, he made sure that all of the protections were cast using this unique language, that way, it would be incredibly difficult to disable that protection and enter the house for anyone but himself.
After the job was done he heard a clunk, indicating that the protections had been disabled and the door was opened.
Once inside, he started looking around. The house is exactly as the last time he was here. There is not even a spect of dust.
He greatly dislikes being here, this house just reminds him of a life that never was.
What if his mother didn't become obsessed with a muggle?
What if he grew up here, with a family, instead of in an orphanage?
Would he still end up becoming a dark lord?
But no matter, those questions are pointless now.
He decided to quickly make his way to the basement, where he hide the ring, and then get out of here.
"I can't help but feel I am forgetting about something." He murmured while walking through the house.
When he was passing next to a big couch, he suddenly tripped on something and almost fell.
"What the" He complained before looking at the object that made him trip. He notice that it looked like big bones.
"Who left a skeleton in my house?" On a closer inspection, it became obvious that those were not human bones. In fact, they looked more like-
"Oh NOO!. NAGINI II !" With a wave of his hand, the couch went flying. Revealing the skeleton of a giant snake underneath.
His face then contorted in anger.
"When I find the bastard that was supposed to feed her...I am going to RIP HIM APART!."

After taking some time to collect himself and give Nagini II a proper burial at the family cemetery, Harry was once more ready to continue.
He made his way to the basement.
The room appears to be empty, aside from some old furniture. Harry approached a specific part of the wall and started taping it with his wand.
Suddenly one of the bricks moved, revealing a small wooden box hidden inside the wall.
He used a levitating charm to move the box out of the hole and placed it on the ground.
He very carefully opens the box without touching it with his hands. He put a very nasty curse on the ring and a strong compulsion that forces the victim to put the ring on.
Resisting the compulsion is easy for him but removing the curse will take a while.

After thirty grueling minutes, Harry was done. He cleaned the sweat from his face and pick up the ring.
He chose the Gaunt family ring for this particular Horcrux. Once he started inspecting the ring to make sure he hasn't missed anything, he looked at the marking on the stone.
A triangle inside a circle with a line running through it.
"This is it!. I knew it was familiar when I saw the invisibility cloak. Here is where I saw that symbol before. But what does it mean?.
The cloak and the stone of my family ring were made by the same craftsman?. Arg, I hate not knowing things."
'Put me on. I can give you power!. I can give you wisdom beyond belive. Put me on!.'
A voice rang inside his head.
"Oh, not this again. Little fragment, better shut up, less I decide to destroy you."
'Wait. I can really gi-'
Harry interrupted the voice by placing the ring inside his dimensional wallet.
He is going to need a better place to hide these things, so he doesn't have to carry them around all the time. But for the moment is safer than the Dursley's home.
"Alright, I am done here. Next stop…the cave"
