Chapter 2: MY SAVIOR
Darcy woke up after long hours of sleep, yet to open her eyes she Heard two men speaking, she decided to act as if she's sleeping to hear what they were saying "She has no family, I'll have to bring her to my house" the other voice came in with surprise "Your house?! big bro you finally allowing someone into your house?!, I'm so jealous" Ryan's voice came in again "Reduce your voice do you want to wake her up" he added "you can leave now you've over stayed your welcome here" as if he's going to cry he replied with a pleading tone "please big bro I haven't been able to greet sister in-law properly". Darcy was shocked "Is there another patient here?! who is the sister in-law he's referring to" Her body movement was noticed by Ryan and he gesture for he's brother to keep quiet then he spoke out "You are awake Darcy" she was surprised "how did he know?!"
she gently opened her eyes and saw a handsome man standing beside Ryan the handsome figure quickly ran to the side of her bed and shouted with joy "sister in-law!!" Ryan knocked he's head n corrected he's manners "do you want to cause her earlobe to go numb with your shouts" Ryan caution him "I'm sorry I'm just so happy to see sister in-law awake," then he turned to Darcy "sister in-law my name is Jason I'm Ryan's kid bro" he said smiling as if proud to have such man as he's brother. Still confused about what she heard earlier she still managed to reply "Nice to meet you Jason my name is Darcy Williams" then came in Ryan's Voice "Jason you can leave now, the patient needs to rest" Tho disappointed that he had to leave soon, he then looked at Darcy and smile "I'll be back tomorrow, don't get frightened by he's cold behavior he's a good man Goodnight" then he turn around and left the room.
With two of them alone in the room the room went back to silence as they were waiting on each other to speak first, Then a knock came on the door it was Antonio her Bodyguard he came with Food Ryan had order him to go and buy "drop it on the table and leave" Ryan ordered, he did as told bowed and left the room then Ryan spoke "you have eaten since you woke up so I ordered these food for you I don't know what you like so I bought them randomly based on ladies favorites" Darcy nodded and he helped her served the food "Can you be able to use your hands, or should I feed you" Darcy quickly collect the spoon from him and replied "I can eat on my own" he nodded and went back to his sitting position to continue the work he stopped when Jason came in.
After eating, he helped her cleared the table and arranged her bed while tugging her bed he asked her "do u feel pain anywhere?" "No I'm fine" she replied, he nodded he's head and continue speaking "I'll not be here tomorrow as I have so much to do at the office but Jason will be here and also Antonio, do not hesitate to tell them if u need anything" She felt so much love and concern that was coming from the way he spoke, "Okay" she replied and then she continued "Ryan, Thank you, I do not know who you are and why you are helping me but I appreciate" as someone who have never received love from anyone my even her family, she felt so much gratitude for this stranger that made her feel love. Ryan smiled at her naiveness and said "You do not need to thank me, I'm just doing what I feel it's right" And for the first time she smiled at him, using his hand to remove her hair strand from her face "you should sleep now its late already" She nodded in agreement with him and said "Goodnight" he replied with a nod and went back to his work.
