Chapter 16: summer palace

“Hey, what are you doing here?” She asked, trying to hide the haziness from her voice.

He took her hand and brought it to his lips. “My dear Lady of Sala, you have survived your first week of classes, and Barcelona has recovered. Will you please do me this honor and allow me to take you on a date?”

Her heart pounded again. She wasn’t caught...Yet.

“Where are we going?”

“Away to the royal summer home. You will love it there.” He took her hand to guide her away from the school. “Janet has already packed you a bag.”

“We are going for the whole weekend?”

“Yep.”

“Away from everyone else?”

“Yes…are you okay with that?” He haltered, worried.

Juniper let out a huge smile, “I’m more than okay! I could honestly use the break from trying to be politically correct all the time.”

“Good.” He said with an enormous boyish grin on his face.
