Chapter 3: 7 Her mother story
She walked until she saw a little cottage in the forest. Clarissa saw the same little boy whom he saw before but now he looked in a better condition to than before. He wore a nice silk cloth.
Clarissa wondered how can he get his hands on a clothing which was expensive
. Vivian held Clarissa's hand and directed her to inside the cottage . The boy followed them with a cheeky smile.
They entered a room which was covered with ivory. A woman who looked very weak.
"She is my mother.She has been bed ridden for months and my brother and I are the breadwinners of this family,"She whispered into Clarissa ear .
"Mother we have a guest she is a friend of mine,"she said.
"Could you leave us alone please.I need to talk to her,"Her mother said.
Vivian left without a single word."Sister should we go and pluck chestnuts right now,"Arthur said.
"Let us wait for Priscilla,"she said.
Why would her mother want to talk to her that was the question that disturbed her.
"Princess Clarissa it is a pleasure to have you here. My dear you can never lie or fool me I know you are princess Clarissa,"She said faintly.
"How did you know?"she asked while her face
was covered in astonishment.
"Princess one day you will find out about your yearning. Now it is not the right time please greet Sir William and tell him his children are alright,"she said.
"Sir William has other children apart from Isabella . Even though I have never seen Isabella I only heard about her,"Clarissa said.
"Sir William has ..."she said before passing out.
Question lingered around Clarissa brain leaving her confused.
