Chapter 6: Questions
A few days later, if one were to be in the maze of buildings under the Ouroboros Sect, one would hear screams akin to a pig being flayed resounding in the environs.
Inside a random room where the screaming originated from, a vast amount of blood could be seen flowing along on the ground, a youth was strapped to a chair, injuries and burns of various degrees on his body and a man in black robes was laughing while operating a switch and asking him questions.
"What happened in the clearing
"I don't know" he replied in a weak tone.
"Wrong answer" shouted the Warden. He flipped the switch and the teen's body started convulsing as electricity was fed into his body.
After a while, the Warder flipped the switch, the smell of charred skin filled the room, he inhaled deeply and laughed "This just has to be the best fragrance ever after the scent of virgins and little children.
The doors to the house were pushed open all of a sudden and the Sect Master and Elder Ouyang walked into the room
"Has he said anything yet?" the Sect Master asked.
"He refuses to talk about what happened for some reason" replied the Warden
The Sect Master gestured for the Warden to leave the room. He walked towards Ryu while speaking "Why let yourself go through this much pain, you just need to speak and you'll be let go, rewarded even. You could even join my sect".
Ryu weakly lifted up his head to look at the Sect Master and replied "Can you take revenge for me, can you groom me to become a strong warrior".
The Sect Master and Elder Ouyang looked at each other and burst out laughing. Elder Ouyang looked at him and snorted.
"Do you think you hold an advantage here, we could keep on this torture for as long as we wish, nobody knows about you. Trust me, we'll heal you up, you'll be brand new, then we'll increase the degree of pain you feel. Just tell us what happened in the clearing, what treasure appeared there"
"I refuse" he replied.
"Well, you chose pain for yourself kid, we gave you an option in all fairness and now the era of grace has passed over you"
The Sect Master called out "Warden, get in here"
"What tasks do you have for me, my Lords" asked the Warden as he came in.
"He has refused grace and has fallen to grass, make him feel pain, use your machines to the max, let him also relive his worst memories, increase his pain receptors, heal him and start again. I'll return in a week's time and if he hasn't broken, I'll just get Madam Rhea to go through his memories"
"That would be rather costly, Madam Rhea charges a steep price for her sessions, I don't think it's really worth it for a treasure that we don't know who took it".Even as Elder Ouyang was advising the Sect Master, the Sect Master scoffed and replied,
"Our sensors didn't record any high ranked cultivator before the treasure vanished, it can only be a low leveled cultivator, if I find whoever it is, he'll not be happy with himself"
Alas, if only he knew the identity of the 'thief' who took his so-called treasure, he would have pissed his pants in fear and passed out, but what a beautiful thing ignorance is.
"We'll leave you to your own devices, I await good results". As he spoke these words, he left the room, Elder Ouyang with him.
"Let's have fun with each other boy, I can work on your full body now, no holds barred. Also my name is Bai Ling, but you can call me Warden Ling" the Warden said while smiling.
(A.N: Graphic torture scene ahead)
"Let's override your pain sensors first, then we'll get down to work. Hehe"
He brought out a talisman and he slapped it on Ryu's head. Ryu's senses became very sensitive after the talisman was used.
Warden Ling flipped the switch to the electric chair again while giving a monologue "You know, our ancestors were truly skilled in this torture thing, I strive to attain more than them, you'll contribute to my work".
"We're just getting started" Warden Ling was singing even amidst Ryu's screams.
The room stank of charred flesh again which the Warden inhaled with a smile on his face.
He brought out a plier and began removing his nails one after the other slowly and calmly. Once he was done with the last nail, he brought out a pan filled with hot oil, he brought out a tablespoon from his storage ring, he scooped out a bit of hot oil and sprinkled it on the flesh previously covered by the nails. Ryu screamed even more at this and his eyes were rolling back .
As the Warden noticed he was about to pass out, he threw a pill into Ryu's mouth "Can't have you passing out on me now, that Invigorating Pill will keep you up and active, what joy this is".
(Warden Ling - ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`) ).
He drew a dagger with which he proceeded to slice off the tips of Ryu's phalanges.
"Ah yes, I haven't seen you open your eyes since you've been here, now that I have full reign over you, I'll see just what color they are and how good they'll look sliced and diced, I could feed them to you also since I'll just use pills to regenerate them for you", the Warden was busy pondering over what evil act to commit on Ryu next.
Ryu started laughing amidst gasps as he heard these words "I've.. been.. blind .. since birth…., you've failed here".
"Do I care, I'll just slice whatever is in your eye socket up" as he said this, he proceeded to open Ryu's eyelids only to meet eyes whose pupils were as blue as the ocean itself
"Pfft, what happened to you being blind?" he mocked Ryu and raised the knife up.
(A.N: Yup, David's exchange replaced all Ryu lost. Well, even the eyes are about to go (Gone too soon) ).
"Wait, wait, how can I suddenly see, it doesn't make sense, how can this be….. AAAARRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
He screamed in a loud voice as Warden Ling proceeded to drive the knife into his eye socket, then he used the knife as a pivot to pop out the left eye.
As Ryu was screaming and thrashing about on the table, he flipped the switch again, Ryu's body began spasming violently.
After a while, he stopped thrashing around, the Warden suddenly drove the knife into the right eye socket and he popped out the other eye.
Ryu screamed and thrashed about yet again, but there was no salvation for him, just yet.
"So are you ready to talk"
Warden Ling getting no reply to his question smiled even wider as he proceeded to bring out even more torture tools include an Iron Maiden, a box filled with rats with sharpened teeth amongst others.
He threw some pills into Ryu's mouth, and after a few minutes, he was good as new again.
For the next seven days, Ryu had no respite from his pain as he had no intentions of speaking.
On the seventh day, an esteemed personality arrived at the Ouroboros Sect and the Sect Master and several Elders stood outside to welcome her.
