Chapter 3: The Mysterious Being
We finally made it to her room, time to catch her up on some things. This whole thing is dangerous enough as is, so I'll have to figure out how to keep mom safe.
"Ashley can you explain a bit while I check something." I say while looking back at the symbol.
Immediately I went straight for the skills tab and opened it up.

"Hello and Welcome to the skills tree! You'll be given a couple of options but can go down any path you choose." The System Says.

"Rest are currently hidden, please level up to proceed further." The System Says.
I'd like to check out the slime tree then the demon knight tree. They are bound to be very useful if I play my cards right. If this is all real.

•Level 1 Absorption (Allows user to absorb lower level beings)
•Level 1 Regeneration (Allows the user to Heal briefly when damage is taken) <--

You've selected to the slime tree regeneration skill, this will be added to your current skills.
I backed out quickly after that and went straight into the demon knight skill tree, it seems I'll be able to mix and match which is a good sign. It'll allow for a crazy awesome build that'll give me an advantage in certain scenarios.
°Demon Knight Tree
•Level 1 Demonic Strength (Allows the user to boost their strength stats by 4)
•Level 1 Demon Blood (Gives the user temporarily power of a demon knight. Allowing for a boost to Mana, Fire abilities, and Strength by 3 each.) <--
•Level 1 Demon Armor (Gives +7 To health and Strength)
"You've selected Level 1 Demon Blood. It has been added to your skills." The System Says.
Two really useful skills added to my arsenal of skills, this will come in use greatly. I could become pretty overpowered if I play my cards right but these two skills already seem perfect.
"Sev I caught her up but what are you doing over there?" Ashley asks while looking back at me.
Does she not see the screen before me? I guess there's a lot I haven't figured out just yet so this will help me learn. What can people see and not see.
"That doesn't seem real.." Mom says with a scared expression on her face.
No one really knows how to handle this situation yet but I know this could be a pretty big pain in the ass. I know games quite well and if it really is like the games I played, then maybe I could get through this.

Level 7? That's not bad for just completing a basic quest like that.
"Everything will be okay Mom." I reply while staying calm.
I can't lose my cool, I need to stay calm and collected for the time being. I'm panicking myself but there's not much I can do just yet.

I'll save them for the time being but I know what I'll focus on. Intelligence and Reflexes will be quite important to start with. Then I'll power up Mana quite a bit till it's at least at 15, Strength will come right after.
Mana, Strength, Intelligence, and Reflexes. Those seem like the best path to go down for the time being. Considering my current trees, this will be the best course of action to go with till I'm at a decent level.
"How are you so calm?" Ashley questions while walking up to me.
"I just don't want Mom to worry so much." I answer while trying to think.

Shit, I don't want to miss out on these early opportunities. These will be the best ways to level up until I know how the new world works or how this system works.
"Ashley stay here, I'll be right back." I say before running out the room.
I made it out of my house rather fast and began to head down the road for a few moments till I finally saw what it was talking about. a mysterious being floating in the sky while looking down at us.
It wasn't just me here, there appeared to be a group of people already here as well. Did they also have a system or did they just come here by sheer coincidence?
"Humans of this world, you have been given a task. This will ensure the survival of your world if you manage to succeed." The Mysterious Being says while showing a screen with a gate on it.
That must be where the creatures originally came from but does that mean we have to enter the gate?
"Inside of this gate is multiple bosses that you'll have to defeat. This will cause the gate to close, but you'll also be rewarded greatly for completion of this task." The Mysterious Being says.

That must be the new world currency, which isn't bad. Seems like quite a bit of rewards for completing this gate but it won't be easy.
"Sevarian, what are you doing here?" A boy asks.
I shifted my attention for a moment to see a classmate of mine but he didn't seem bothered by this at all. He was another game fanatic like myself but at least I knew this wasn't a normal thing.
It's quite crazy to be honest.
"Astal? I came here because I could see this thing from my house." I respond while keeping my system a secret.
"I see. I got something that told me to come here. Seems like it was a good idea so far." He says while looking back up at the sky.
This world really is going to shit because of this whole thing, but I'm curious why it all happened in the first place. Something had to have triggered it right?
