Chapter 122: A brief meeting
*Narrator pov*
The students were dumbfounded at James's victory over Severus. Using spells that were generally thought of as harmless pranks to win was new and showed creativity.
Abara on the other hand was ecstatic he marched up to the stage with a blinding smile full of pride, "Bravo! What a display of creativity, this is what I have been talking about! No spell is weak it's how you use it, think outside of the box, explore, and experiment! These mock duels are the perfect opportunity to try new and adventurous things in a safe environment," his voice was full of passion as he turned the duel into a lesson
Severus made his way down from the platform a scowl marring his face, he was clearly not as amused and joyful as Abara. To him, he just got beat by spells a first-year would think are 'wicked'.
James on the other hand stepped off of the platform like he was the second coming of Merlin, his grin seemed to shine with a glow of unmatched hubris, "See that Lily? I'm the most creative wizard here, professor says you all should be learning from me! How about I give you some private lessons?" his eyebrows did a odd dance as he asked the daring question
It was as if he thought there was no possible way for him to be turned down.
His parade was cut short when he saw the disgusted look on Lily's face, "Bugger off you prick," she sneered turning away from him and resuming the conversation she was having with her friends
"Merlin! thought that would work!" James cursed turning to Sirius for support, "Eh good attempt buddy," Sirius patted him on the shoulder
In the back, Albus had an annoying smile on his face, "Oh my I must've gotten lucky," he chortled
Morpheus rolled his eyes, "Live it up this is a rare occasion," he replied with a playful smirk
The club continued with Abara and Yowie helping suggest footwork techniques, spells, and more dueling tips to the students. After the initial duels, they moved on to guided duels which were when two students would go onto the platform, and instead of a full-on duel Abara and Yowie would stop at points and point out what could have been improved upon.
"These two are a perfect fit for this class," Morpheus said to Albus as he took a sip of his wine
"I agree," Albus said proudly
*Morpheus Pov*
It was the day after I attended the dueling club meeting and tonight I was planning to meet with Arcturus. Dressing in my normal robe I headed to my personal floo and threw some powder onto the flames, "Black Family parlor," with that I felt a pull, and I walked into the parlor
Arcturus was already waiting for me inside, the doors were shut probably because other members of his family were inside the house.
"Morpheus," he said with a nod while pouring two glasses of fire whisky
I smiled broadly, "Arcturus my friend, how have you been, How's Bellatrix?" I asked taking my seat
He floated the glass to me and then took a seat of his own, "Bah they are alright, naggy but fine," he grumbled, "Sometimes I wonder if they are really my blood, such narrow minds it's infuriating," I couldn't help but laugh
"You know most wouldn't describe you as an open mind," I said taking a drink
That nice burning sensation woke me up.
He glared at me, "I don't know what they see in this dark lord," he shook his head, "Even Gellert made a better case and I fought against him,"
"Charismatic one isn't he? I wouldn't worry too much about him though he isn't our real enemy," I replied with a small smile
He quirked his brow, "These demons, Angels, and Gods are the real enemy I've gathered," he said taking a sip of his whisky
I smiled, "I was wondering when you would bring that up I figure you found the information, where is Cassiopeia by the way?" I asked looking around
He shrugged, "Business, you know how it is I'm sure, and yes we did find out. To think there was so much we were missing," he remarked with some amazement but anger
I chuckled, "Don't be too amazed they are assholes hell-bent on destroying the human race to conquer the earth for themselves," I took another sip of whisky seeing where this conversation is heading
"Why?" he asked
"Because their homes are running low on magic they need a new realm to supply that magic," I answered honestly
"Why can't we co-exist? Wouldn't that be more beneficial?" he asked in confusion
I scoffed, "Coexist with them? They see humans as nothing more than slaves, lesser beings," I replied harshly
Anyway, if by some miracle they did somehow change their minds and co-exist within humanity it's impossible.
Arcturus frowned, "You hold great anger against them," he pointed out the blaring obvious fact
I nodded, "They aren't my favorite," I joked with a light smile
"Do you know when this war will start?" he asked
I thought for a moment, "It already has my friend, but if you mean the main attack where everyone will learn of them then that will happen after Tom. They are using him right now, testing the waters seeing our strength, and hoping to conquer Britain through him," I replied honestly
"I see," he said with a sigh, "To think my life would be filled with so much war," he looked saddened and tired
I stared at the whisky in my glass and frowned, "This war will decide it all, after this humanity will either be doomed or flourish,"
"Well then here is to making it flourish," he raised his glass as did I
And we both downed our drinks.
Before I left I stopped, "Ah, I should probably mention if you have any business with vampires I would end it soon, they won't be along for much longer," my voice slipped into anger
Shaking his head, "What did they do and I don't think you can take them all down Morpheus," he asked in a disbelieving tone
"Betrayed me," I replied throwing the floo powder into the fireplace before I vanished I laughed, "Maybe now you can see who you are allies with,"

I appeared back in my room and began to prepare for the next traveling market I got the announcement just this morning.
It seems this time I'm heading to one of my favorite places to shop, Asia. Their market is truly phenomenal.
