Chapter 9: Chapter 9 (Rewrite)

(AN. Only small changes <3)

After passing out from a migraine induced coma I woke up in the early morning. It's still dark out. Sitting up I remember Alfred waking me up to open the gate again for Tim and taking the kids bassinets away after seeing I had a migraine.

It's been a while since I've had one. They used to be a weekly occurrence in the old world. Getting up, I deal with my sore over full breasts and while showering, I bring up my status.

Looking it over I see that Lynn is at 52% while Beast Boy is only at 11%. Putting my head back under the water I think about it a bit more.

Lynn Minmay is an ordinary person with skills and abilities that I already have some experience with. Other than the musical parts I have already been doing what she would have been. Acting, eating, sleeping and having a shower like a normal person. I spend everyday acting like everything is ok and the I'm fine so I guess that counts as acting to the system. I start singing in the shower and dancing a bit to test out my theory.

56%. I keep singing nonsense and dancing as I watch the percentage go up. I notice that Beast Boy's percentage is slowly going up too. I might have to try transforming to get his up faster. I don't really remember how his ability works back I guess I could ask Tim. Or just try it on my own.

I stop playing around and get out of the shower. Getting ready for the day I look at the time and see it's still way too early. Heading over to the Oracle computer and check the cams for the warehouse we have been using in NY.

It's empty so I grab a bag of spare clothes in case I need them and Gate to the warehouse.

Putting the bag down I close the Gate and feel the drain on my power before I move farther into the warehouse.

I close my eyes and try to remember the images of Beast Boy Transforming. I focus on one of him changing into a wolf and I can't begin to explain the feeling. It's like my body just melted, readjusted itself and became solid again in an instant. It doesn't hurt, it's just uncomfortable. My clothes were shredded.

Stretching myself out I could now smell the filth and rot in the warehouse. Trying to ignore the new smells I walk and run around the warehouse. Jumping and leaping trying to get used to the feeling.

I try to change mid leap into a bear. I manage to change but fail in landing the leap. Ending up as a heap on the floor. I spend the next few hrs working on shifting between forms and "shadow boxing" trying to get use to the forms. I'll need to take this to the Zombie Dungeon soon. This time I need to take Tim with me.

I make my way back to the previously discarded bag and shift back to human and get changed. I grab all the bits of shredded clothes and throw them in the empty bag and Gate back home in LA.

Having another quick shower to wash off the grime. I check the assimilation rate and see that Lynn is now at 62% and Beast Boy is now at 21%. Transforming and spending time as animals has worked in increasing the rate of assimilation. Anyone else that I add in the future I will have to do things that they would have done. This makes me think about the assassins I have in my deck. Jane and John are a no as they will make a good team out on the field as themselves. That leaves me with Yor.

Getting out of the shower for the second time this morning I get changed into clean clothes. Today I am wearing black jeans and a dark green Minecraft hoodie that is 2 sizes too big. This one is actually mine.

Yor is the Thorn Princess assassin trained to kill from a young age. Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability and reflexes. Honestly, I think she is a supersoldier at this point. Adding her strange obsession with weapons, her gullible innocence and low alcohol tolerance to the mix could tip the balance. So far I have mostly stayed the same. Little changes in my personality but nothing to worry about.

I head out to find my twins. Still thinking the problem through.

Would I be missing out if I didn't summon her? If didn't summon her, that means there would be one less person with superhuman abilities taking on the coming threats. But is another supersoldier what we need. Definitely not right now.

Leaving my room I look around and see Alfred in the Kitchen.

"Morning Alfred."

"Morning Ma'am, the twins are on their mat." He keeps cooking. I head towards the lounge where the babies should be.

"Thanks for taking them last night. That migraine was a killer."

Finding the twins awake on their mat in the lounge room where Alfred said they would be. I go and lay down facing them and making them giggle by tickling their necks and bellies.

"Of course Ma'am. It was a pleasure to help."

"Good morning Levi and Sage. How are my babies this morning?"

"Coo, giggle. Garble!" Sage talks back to me seriously.

"I see." Nodded at her trying not to laugh. Looking up as the backdoor opens to let Tim in.

"Morning. How did the test drive go last night? Sorry I wasn't awake. I had a killer migraine." I push myself to stand up while picking up both the twins so I could feed them and sit on the sofa.

"Mrnnig." Tim walks past almost like a zombie. Watching he head to the kitchen I start laughing as I watch Alfred hand Tim a travel mug of what most likely is coffee. Tim proceeds to inhale the beverage and comes to sit on the armchair next to the sofa.

After finishing his coffee. Tim looks at me, now appearing to be awake.

"Welcome back to the land of the living." I laugh at him.

"I hate mornings and I hate morning people." He gives me a fake glare.

"So you keep telling me." I'm not usually a morning person. Lately I have been getting up early because I have been sleeping early. That will probably change soon.

Tim starts to tell me about his adventures in NY. Taking out some gangbangers in Hell's Kitchen, a couple of thieves in Brooklyn and ended up dealing with a couple of attempted rapists in Queens. He rode the cycle on lots of public road with lots of cameras before sneaking back to our warehouse.

"How long will it take Shield to try and get in contact with you?" We smirk at each other.

"I give it two weeks tops. You need to come out with me tomorrow to get their attention too."

"No, it would be better if you just talked about me as the Oracle that you work with on big jobs. If we can avoid being seen together to start with then they'll hopefully try to recruit both of us rather than just me or just you." I hand the now finished Sage to Tim to help me burp them.

I still remember the first time he held them. He was so scared that he was like a brick wall. Now he is a natural.

"I see what you want to do." He burps Sage and puts her on his knee, bouncing her.

"I need you to get the team up and running within the next few months. I'll hack some funds for the Red Room and Fisk some other criminals and steal some funds for it. I'll summon the first few members tonight and I'll give them the gear we have for now to them to set up." I explained the plan I had been coming up with for a while. "Tomorrow I want to take you with me to the Zombie world. I think it would be good for you to let loose and punch some zombies in the face."

I burp Levi and begin playing with him while still discussing the plan for the team with Tim until Alfred calls us to breakfast.

Putting the twins in the baby swings to play and sleep we head to the table for breakfast. While eating, I listen to Tim and Alfred discuss what Alfred needs to get for the teams to start with. I am only half listening as I am trying to solve my own problem.

If I add the Fiora Project Armor for full scale battles and the Canary Armor for stealth missions. Problem then would be that I wouldn't be able to change forms. Maybe I can store the armor before shifting and use the inventory to put the armor back on after shifting?

"Shit!" dropping the cutlery onto the plate I put my head in my hands groaning.

"What's wrong?" Tim asks from across the table.

Alfred stands to get me some painkillers thinking I am having another migraine.

Honestly at this rate I will probably get one. I was strategizing almost at every waking moment. Something I never had done before. It wasn't a bad thing, I just hadn't noticed it until now. It was shocking to me.

"I'm ok. Just a headache is all." I take the pills from Alfred and take them with my tea. "Thank you Alfred."

We spent the rest of breakfast talking about the business and new games we could add to our game company and Alfred asking us what we want for dinner that night.
