Chapter 148: A Usual Scenario Of Sleeping Together

The next scene showed Kazuichi sitting in the middle of the shower area with both hands on his face. He had a towel wrapped around his body but he didn't move from his location.

What happened a moment ago left him in shock, and it was enough to render him immobile for a couple of minutes. His face showed signs of utter bewilderment and unease as he stared into the blank space.

Warm hazy air surrounded Kazuichi, and it didn't take long before he started sweating. Even then, he didn't move from his place at all. He just sat there as if traumatized by something that didn't even happen.

"I mean... she did offer to... but what's going on? What happened? Should I be concerned?" Kazuichi told himself as he entered an existential crisis in the middle of the bath. After all, what just happened was something that completely shocked him to the very core.

Long story short, nothing happened. As much as Kazuichi tried not to think about anything, he couldn't just ignore the fact that nothing really happened. Arisu simply went in, washed his back without speaking another word, and then excused herself before shutting the bathroom door behind her.

It was the most bizarre event that had happened in Kazuichi's life, and that's why it was enough to render him immobile.

"Kazuichi."

Jolring upright, Kazuichi returned to his senses when Arisu called him from behind the door. Nervously, he tried to regain his composure before responding to Arisu's greeting.

"Y-yes? W-what... what is it?" It was just a simple question but Kazuichi couldn't help but blush when he talked to Arisu. More than anything, he wasn't expecting her to address him the moment she got out of the bathroom.

After what happened, that was the last thing that Kazuichi expected Arisu to do. Back then, he was trying to hold back. But now, he was disoriented. The event had really shaken him up greatly.

"I'll leave the tower here, okay?" Arisu casually spoke as she put the towel on the doorknob. On her end, everything was so awkward, but she had already decided upon it. At the very least, she should do the minimum requirement of what she had challenged herself.

As soon as she tied the towel on the doorknob, Arisu's face screamed red when she remembered Kazuichi's tight body. In retrospect, this wasn't the first time he'd seen Kazuichi on his birthday suit. But this was just payback since Kazuichi was the first one to start the trend by barging into the shower room while Arisu was bathing.

While it had happened a long time ago, Arisu and Kazuichi still remembered that day clearly. If someone were to randomly ask the two of them about their exchange, they would just brush it off as a mere prank.

If by any chance Kazuichi did something to one-up Arisu, then he could do so at his own discretion. Because, the way they treated each other was more than a husband and wife in a normal marriage.

Collapsing on the floor, Arisu tried to even out her breathing. She still couldn't believe that Kazuichi really looked like that— just the thought of admiring Kazuichi's body was enough to make Arisu jump to the moon or something.

Meanwhile, Kazuichi finally steeled himself before accepting what had happened. Muttering a soft thanks in response to Arisu's confirmation, Kazuichi felt like he wanted to do another round.

"T-thanks, Arisu. Now after me, I can help you wash your back?" Kazuichi asked just to prank Arisu a little bit. He knew that she would deny the request even though she had done it to him. But then again, Kazuichi just had to ask anyway since Arisu did it to him first.

If any, Kazuichi could more or less tell that Arisu wouldn't deny the request.

"S-sure..."

Arisu's voice trailed off before complete silence filled the air. Both size froze on their feet as they tried to figure out what just happened. Even Kazuichi couldn't believe it. What started as a joking question actually came true.

A couple of moments later, Kazuichi returned the favor and also helped Arisu washed her back. After that, he also copied what she did and walked out without saying another word. Now, he could more or less undertand why Arisu did something confusing.

He was just as surprised that Arisu allowed him to wash his back. And as such, he couldn't internalize what happened, leaving him speechless like what happened to Arisu a moment or two ago.

Without further ado, Kazuichi collapsed on his bed and decided to get some shut eye while he was still confused. While Arisu continued taking a bath, Kazuichi slept on his bed in a heartbeat. He wasn't going to waste this chance to get some shut-eye before he started being active as the stronghold leader of the Kazuichi Stronghold.

Then there was Arisu who finished taking a bath one moment later. Like Kazuichi, she also grew sleepy after such a relaxing bath. She felt like the bed was drawing her in the moment she stepped out of the bath.

While Kazuichi comfortably slept, Arisu also scooted closer to the bed before collapsing beside Kazuichi. She didn't hesitate to burrow under the blanket, lying beside Kazuichi as the atmosphere of the room lulled her to sleep.

It didn't even occur to her that what she was doing was questionable. As soon as she did lie down, sleep started overcoming her and her sense of judgment had gotten even more clouded.

Then she fell asleep along with Kazuichi who was already in his deep sleep. Not only did the two of them take a bath together and washed each other's back... they also had the gall to sleep together on the same bed as their exhaustion got the better of them.

Muttering a soft goodnight mid-sleep, Arisu shuffled forward before unconsciously wrapping her arms around Kazuichi. It was a sealed deal, and together, the two of them fell into a deep slumber.
